If you're ever interested in making this type of video i'd love to see a "the cost of homeschooling". I know there are plenty of free resources and every state requires different things, but it can be about the basics that you need to purchase. The financial aspect is what holds me back because we are a lower income one income household.
I'm constantly rearranging our school room too! Glad I'm not alone. Beautiful chalkboard!! I do love to use a DIY white board made from melamine purchased at the box store. Beautiful room. Very inspirational. Thank you!
Girl, talk about sister's from another mother!! We have a black Nissan envy, seven kids, we home school, my oldest is 11, my husband and I started dating in high school, I wish I could run but have to back burner that for another season...and I always wanted a gray couch😉. Just found your channel. You are being used by God to bring some major inspirational joy to people's day!!
This could not have come at a better time! Moved into a new house last week, and I was just sitting down to map out how I am going to set up our school room!
The room looks great! Gave me lots of ideas for organizing our space. Our homeschool/playroom is still a work in progress. We just finished a major remodel, but hubby hasn’t made my built in bookshelves yet.
This probably isn’t all that surprising, but we have the exact same set up. Even the plant, IKEA bookshelf, The Good and the Beautiful nature notebooks, the basket for the library books... we had to move the plant upstairs to the vaulted ceiling because it got too tall (you’ll see..it gets TALL!). We have two papazan chairs for reading. And, yes, we have to put the toddler things down lower on the bookshelves and a lot of things up high. We have a 20-month-old, three-year-old, five-year-old, and a seven-year-old. We don’t have that cool chalkboard though!
I just binge watched your videos for an embarrassing amount of time. I just love it all! I love the good and the beautiful too! You helped me decide on it and I have been so glad I bought them. Anyway, love your energy and style! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
I love this homeschool room(: I have a question. I think chalk boards are nice but I'm just curious why you guys don't use a white board like you guys did years ago instead? Isn't that much easier to clean?
For the money don't use hot glue just pin the bills in so you can see the backs as well if you ever want to. If you have coins put them in little bags that you can find at the craft store so you can pin those as well.
I wish I got to be home schooled by you, your home school is so colourful and fun. Thanks for sharing. Ps. Just seen your today show episode!! You family is so amazing and inspirational. ♥️
I'm not home schooling but I am wanting to be a primary school teacher so these school video I find so interesting. Another fab video. Keep it up gurl x
Love seeing other people’s spaces. I’ve never been one that’s wanted a dedicated space for school (#diningtableforthewin) but it’s sure tempting when I see all the space and organization going on! Am slightly in denial summer is almost done, but excited to start. Got my Usborne geography book, woohoo!
I know every stages requirements are different, and I’m not sure what state you are in-that being said I would LOVE a video of how exactly you keep records of their schooling not for your own memories but for should the state request them! I can see myself over saving. 😬 thanks, so glad I found your channel!
We just received the math kit from TG&TB and my son looked at me and said “Why did you get me a baby toy?” Talking about the small abacus in the kit 😂 I remember your old room set up, and I’m loving this new room. Especially the chalkboard!
Your home school room is awesome!!! :D I homeschool too, well just starting out. My oldest is 3 and half so just starting preschool. It would be awesome to see what you do for just your kids that are at preschool level! :D
Oh man I have a pen and paper ready to steal ideas 😂 also I found your channel through your old room tour. Man what a journey 😍 anyway thanks for another awesome video
I loved the dear America books when I was the older girl's age, did you know there's also dear Canada? That's what I started on, as a Canadian girl, they were often featured at my school libraries. So interesting. If you didn't know about those, it's a whole other version of similar stories of strong women living through difficult times. 😊 T room looks great! I love how committed you are to homeschooling. Could you/have you done a video detailing how you seperate the grade levels while teaching the same topics? Or do you have separate times during the day when you focus on each of the grade levels while the other do work they don't need help with? I don't even have kids but I'm interested, this way seems quite different than how my mom did it the couple of years we tried.
Wow 😲 really impressive!!! Said something that makes no since you said your homeschool closet could be better organised??? How lol looks pretty amazing to me.
So excited for this video. I found the latchmate boxes 50% off 2 weeks ago after watching one of your other videos and I had to jump on it for *ahem* my kids.
So inspiring, Angie! :) Thank you for sharing your space with us. I noticed the new Usborne book Miss Molly's School of Manners on your bookshelf. How do you like it? I have a couple etiquette books for my children already, and I'd love to hear an honest review of this one before purchasing it. ;)
At what age would you recommend homeschooling? My son just turned 3 and I know they start Preschool around that age. I know that homeschooling is the route I want to take. Not sure if it would be good to just kind of start little by little and see how we do.
You don't absolutely NEED to buy much at all. I spend very little on my homeschool. We don't have a special school room or tons of supplies. It's up to you what you like and what works for you! I love how Angela has things set up, and I enjoy learning from her, but I have a different budget and a different aesthetic. Don't let money stop you. 😊
I second Erica! :) I love gleaning inspiration from Angie and other ladies, but we spend very little on homeschool materials and utilize things we already have in our home. I dream of one day having a dedicated homeschool space, but for now, I try to make our living room and dining room conducive to homeschooling. And I've done what Kelley Jeavons suggested, too - buying books and resources here and there while my children were tiny, especially when I've found them second-hand for a steal. ;) Homeschooling can certainly be rich AND beautiful on a small budget if we mamas are creative and resourceful. :)
We have a tight budget also with only my husband working and me being disabled. We sat down and decided that our children's education is more important than other worldly things like fancy clothes and big toys. We decided to go with A Beka academy because they are ranked higher in grade level . Our oldest is dislexic and keeps up great.the other we enjoy about ABeka academy is that we can do it in payments so we don't have to pay it all at once.
Hi Arika Porche, I’m an early years specialist and benches are a great idea for little ones. Helping them with balance and muscle tone which also aids concentration 😊

I dont even have kids yet this is making me want to homeschool them so bad!
I love how organized everything is.
I remember being part of the Dear America club when I was little and I was always so excited to get a new one. So I was happy to see those.
I'm constantly rearranging our school room too! Glad I'm not alone. Beautiful chalkboard!! I do love to use a DIY white board made from melamine purchased at the box store. Beautiful room. Very inspirational. Thank you!

Fantastic set up. So organised. Home school room goals right here!
What a delightful room to grow and bloom in
I really miss homeschooling. My two youngest started High School in public school and it broke my heart. They truly grow to fast
The room looks great! Gave me lots of ideas for organizing our space. Our homeschool/playroom is still a work in progress. We just finished a major remodel, but hubby hasn’t made my built in bookshelves yet.

I'm so excited to watch this. You are an inspiration Angela! I honestly have no idea how you do it. 💕
I just binge watched your videos for an embarrassing amount of time. I just love it all! I love the good and the beautiful too! You helped me decide on it and I have been so glad I bought them. Anyway, love your energy and style! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
Your room has come together so nicely! You've wonderfully put together a playroom/family room/homeschool room in one. Beautiful!
I love that everything is up high, like at our house, haha! So many homeschoolers on UA-cam don't have one year olds and this is super encouraging!
I seriously stalk this channel for your homeschool videos, I LOVE your homeschool room and that board is just Amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
I love this homeschool room(: I have a question. I think chalk boards are nice but I'm just curious why you guys don't use a white board like you guys did years ago instead? Isn't that much easier to clean?

Cassandra Wirkus agreed. Those little sticky Velcro dots would also work well for coins.
Your homeschool room is amazing! Someday...someday! For now...kitchen table/living room floor! 😂 Thank you for sharing!
Love how much space you have
The pallet frames turned out beautifully! 👍😊
ivi122 yes! 😊 CR made them from recycled wood.

Great tour! My daughter was so excited to see that you use Life of Fred and your daughters read Dear America. Both are some of her favorites.
Love it! Everything looks so nice!

Hi
i wanna homeschool my son so much but this seems like so much to purchase 😣
luckily hes only 2 so ive got time😥
Start making the purchases now and then by the time offical school comes around you will have everything you need.
Homeschooling can absolutely be done on a small budget and without a dedicated space!

Do the benches work well for your kids? I have a 3 and 4 year old and am worried they will fall
Hi Arika Porche, I’m an early years specialist and benches are a great idea for little ones. Helping them with balance and muscle tone which also aids concentration 😊
I think your intro is a bit too long... But I love your videos otherwise❤️
