When it comes to gaming content and console contents to be exact, short answers are not prefered because simply we need more than yes or no we need why and how.
The 7th Generation was the transitional period when - There still wasn't a division between indie devs and mainline game devs, so a lot more games were being released physically and being published by big companies. - When a game was published for a system it needed to be at least 95% complete without major updates. - The main aspects of online gaming were fully established and became commonplace. - The file size for games were optimized for each system and there were virtually no games larger than 10GB. - Game Demos had been perfected with Free Trials on 360, which were offered for almost every game and let you download the full game.
The golden era of gaming was when Xbox 360 was released that's what my dad said I wish I experienced that time he said he loved playing call of duty or gta v or gta iv on that console
Not only the games back then overall had a greater impact but also (atleast for me) the fact that u didnt have to pay for online(ps3), that literally illiminates all multiplayer games for the ps4 for me
Ps3 was the best in a marketing perspective not as a consumer perspective. ps3 had that cool and unique look to its UI and the cover design. buttssss...! in the other side Xbox 360 had that user friendly UI and music with a taste of windows 7 in it (everybody loves windows 7). I get it that playstation 3 had free plus forever once you redeem it that's in the other hand a 1-0 to xbox for sure. but not only for me but alot of people xbox service was alot mire fluid for us and the game prices were cheaper in my personal region, heck sometimes we use to buy any games with 1$ even xbox gold for 2$ and ofc legally. I loved the ps3 because God Of War. but that's the only thing I cared about the pa3. from a very typical consumer perspective (me) I use to have ps1, ps2, psp but not the ps3... because simply ps3 wasn't that luring and vibrant as xbox 360 were. Hope I'm not making a misconception here because I'm a PC player now, that console was is stupid 😅
@@lunarsix1981 ps3 you could download free movies, stream the Internet, games at the time we're small memory so yiu could store alot, it was a media hub fir photos, music videos, u could plug in phones, USBs, u could get custom themes, sixasxis motion control, free online!, easy jailbreaking and yiu could literally turn into a pc by installing Linux! 360 I personlally prefered also it felt more welcoming and alive with colour plus partys and chats seemed better whereas ps3 has a cold depressing menu and sometimes souless and I'm not a fan of PlayStation exckusives but u or I can't deny that ps3 in technical terms was far superior in terms of not having much limitations at all, both Consoles also hit a golden age of gaming where the graphics and content balance were at their peak whilst keeping the size of the games low, we will never have Consoles like these again.
