They need to let the multiverse stuff rest for a while. Not only does it make Liu Kang look incompetent if there's a multiversal level problem every time the story needs conflict, but it takes away from the realms. Idc care about multiverse versions of characters if i barely know our main universe versions. They've done pretty good with outworld and earthrealm so far, but we've barely touched neather realm or any of the other realms, and it really showed with how shallow the chaos dlc feels. Sure, on a suface level, it's cool, but when u think about it, we have no idea what chaos realm looks like or order realm, so every time havik appears in the story, he just feels like a rip off joker instead of his own character. I like the multiverse stuff, and imo it works well with MK, but they need to focus more on establishing the main universe and its realms.
We’re also getting 3 cool guest characters. So it’s 50 buckets for 6 characters and cool new skins and announcer voices that you unlock after completing the story. Story is mid but worth playing through to get the rewards

Why go to every channel that has a theme and constantly complain that they didn’t do this or didn’t do that etc…? I have a simple solution. Hopefully NRS drops the multiverse thing for good after this. They’ve already set up the Cyber Lin Kuei getting stronger under Noob Saibot and Sektor’s rule, one intro between Sektor and Reiko showing that Onaga has went rogue, and Takeda hunting down Daegon. Hopefully NRS makes a 3rd story expansion which will focus only on Liu Kang’s timeline, maybe have Noob Saibot, Sektor and Onaga be the main villains

We need to know what happened next to Havik, Empress Tanya, WW2 Johnny and Orin. Wasted opportunity there are no scenes of WW2 Johnny and Johnny Cage interacting. From intro dialogues we know that Havik is still alive since his timeline still exists We need a 2nd dlc story to come with KP 3 to finally clear those up and have Jade and Kung Jin in it. They’ve already set up the Cyber Lin Kuei getting stronger under Noob Saibot’s rule and one intro between Sektor and Reiko shows Onaga has went rogue and gotten loose in Outworld. NRS can make a great story out of this and drop the multiverse thing for good We need to see WW2 Johnny and Empress Tanya and Orin together again. NRS can’t just introduce them and quickly forget about them Also Cyrax mirror intros are between Liu Kang’s timeline Cyrax and the Khaos Cyrax who came to avenge Havik’s defeat, which is interesting
Totally agree with you! NRS really set up some amazing storylines with characters like WW2 Johnny, Empress Tanya, and Orin, but we never got to see their full potential. The interactions between WW2 Johnny and Johnny Cage would’ve been epic, and Havik still being out there keeps the stakes high. A second DLC story with KP3 could wrap all this up perfectly, especially if they include Jade, Kung Jin, and Noob Saibot’s Cyber Lin Kuei plot. Plus, Onaga on the loose in Outworld? That’s an entire arc waiting to happen. Dropping the multiverse and focusing on these setups would be 🔥!
