Started experiencing the symptoms quite young, I don't remember like around 15-16. And then got diagnosed with scalp psoriasis around 19, at that time I had no knowledge about psoriasis that much. The dermatologist was really kind and experienced. I fear the newer symptoms I'm experiencing this year where I have turned 20 are related to psoriatic arthritis. Constant knees and joint pains. Trouble getting up and climbing stairs, gut issues, fatigue, weight gain etc. And many, many more symptoms I keep forgetting. I'm seeing similar patches of skin on the insides of one of my elbows (sorry for bad English), but I'm going to wait until I experience a flare up again. My brother has eczema and my another brother shows signs of seborrheic dermatitis, my father also deals with some kind of skin issues. I feel it runs in my family. And my mom has arthritis too.
Summary for Those Who Need It: This video highlights 10 warning signs of Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), from the least common to the most critical: Gut inflammation (bloating, diarrhea) linked to PsA. Eye inflammation (uveitis) causing severe pain and vision issues. Nail changes like pitting or lifting. Psoriasis symptoms (scaly patches on skin). Tendonitis (Achilles pain, plantar fasciitis). Elbow pain (golfer’s or tennis elbow). Dactylitis ("sausage digits" - swollen fingers/toes). Asymmetrical joint pain affecting uneven joints. Back pain in the cervical spine or sacroiliac joints. Morning stiffness lasting over an hour, improving with movement. Early recognition and treatment are key!
I wish you lived near by, where I could get a good diagnosis. After watching this video, it sounds as though I might have Psoriatic arthritis. I already have chronic gout. Now my hands seem to be breaking down with pain and trigger fingers.
Where I live in trinidad,it takes years to diagnose diseases,it's only sometimes its so late when one knows what it is,so tiring,I can say I have all of these symptoms and never told
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through such a tough time. It’s frustrating when healthcare systems are slow to respond. I hope you find the support and answers you need soon.
What is ironic is that I eat healthy I do not drink alcohol at all and I do not smoke. I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease. Which could be from the breakthrough pain I take a lot of ibuprofen. I use honey as a sweetener.
As usual, Excellent information ! Thank-you for your thorough presentation on this subject 10/10* : ) Much Appreciated & Hope you have a Great Weekend !!
I went back looked at labs. I've been told I have three or four autoimmune illnesses but I've never seen the test to prove it on my labs. Hashimoto's, sjodrens, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Interstitial Cystitis and I do have HLA-27 for A. S.
Oh my god 😢I have all these symptoms and years dr couldn’t find anything, thanks for letting us know ❤I am very thankful for you
