      I do too! I was a bit intimidated at first, but it turned out to be much easier and much more fun than I thought it’d be 😄

    Everything with the word knit 🧶 in it makes it difficult to me. When I will stop being intimidated by the word knit?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 роки тому

      😂 I was exactly the same! It feels like it took me forever to embrace the “knit stitch” in Tunisian Crochet!

    Love the increase/ decrease pattern you have here, looks great. I do disagree however with your description of the beginning of Tunisian crochet. You do not have your chain plus one. If you chain 10, you will have 10 loops on your hook. The first one we say we skip is already a worked stitch is all.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 років тому +2

      Agreed. I just couldn’t find a better way to explain the additional loop to someone who had never crocheted Tunisian before and counted their stitches. It always threw me off when I started.
      Your explanation would have made much more sense. Sadly, it did not occur to me while filming 🤦🏽‍♀️

      OmGOODNESS!! That’d be gorgeous! I’ve been wanting to make a Cowl in a houndstooth pattern. I may just try it now.
      Thank you 🥰! I love your comments! You get me seeing things differently and trying new things, so thank you!

    Would it be possible to knit the brim in 2x2 rib and then pick up stitches for the crochet?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, it’d be possible. 🙂 You should be able to cast on just fine right from the ribbing.

    Your hook is not a double ended tunisian hook. That set has different sizes on each end. The true double ended hooks are LONG hooks.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  2 роки тому

      Thank you. A double-ended hook has a hook on both ends, and there are both long and short hooks available (as several companies are now making them in different sizes as Tunisian Crochet is becoming more popular).
      And yes, while these particular are different sized hooks and not intended to be used as what you know as a “double-ended hook”, they were what was available to me at that time, so I made do.

    I would like to make a Tunisian ponytail beanie. Can you point me to an instructional?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 роки тому +1

      The two other channels that post Tunisian projects (that I know of) are Patronarte (it’s in Spanish though), and TL Yarn Crafts, I’m not sure if they have a ponytail beanie though 🤔

    Hi, I love this hat and have been wanting to try one of your Tunisian crochet patterns for some time, I just haven't gotten to do it yet. BUT I have all (most of) the materials needed except my double ended TH is a 5.5. Would it be possible to use that one as long as I follow the pattern dimensions? I actually haven't listened to the entire video yet, but I'm so ready to try this. Thank you for this beautiful pattern.

      Absolutely! That hook would work just fine. 😄 happy crocheting!

      @@ModeBespoke Good Morning! I had to make another comment before I got my day started, which I may not be doing anything but this hat!!!! I was going to scrap it last night because I didn't understand the return pass thing before the round was completely finished. So I went to bed and was determined this morning to figure it out. Your directions are so very clear and easy especially of a good nights rest. I wound up using a K hook because that was the only double ended one I had (I thought it was an I). Anyway, thank you for your thorough explanation on this and I am so excited to finish this hat as it is only my second Tunisian Crochet project. I purchased an entire set a month or so ago and I really want to o more Tunisian. Thank you again, I"M ADDICTED.
