I missed the live program from S&W tonight. Sad, but thanks for filling me in on the new offering. I have a dozen Beretta 92FS mags…it would be nice to see an adapter for them.
If you want to spend over $700 on a nearly all plastic gun (even the charging handle) then go for it. It's made out of the same horrible feeling plastic as the M&P15-22. When I picked one up yesterday I was immediately disappointed even before I knew the price which is really shocking. If you have a FPC then it makes no sense to buy this when you can buy an AR-9 pattern rifle for the same money that's not plastic. It feels like someone grabbed the stuff from my recycling bin, melted it down, added some fiber, and molded it into a gun.
I haven't forgiven S&W since they sided with Bill Clinton and the socislist in the 80's on the assault weopons ban. They agreed to only sell to the military and police and abandon the civilian market. Thus, the M&P series of firearms.
I can't decide now, do I just wait for these to be on the shelves or just go and buy the FPC. I'm imagining the FPC would be pretty much the same and have the convenience of folding
I just bought one, but I can’t get it now S&W put a hold on all shipments. They always rush to market and don’t do much testing. Smith what’s wrong with this gun?
What is the operating system is it straight blowback or roller delayed? I don't understand how you do a review and don't discuss this aspect of the firearm.
So the FPC has more pistol like controls where the Response has more so AR like controls? Other than the position of the safety, the mag location, and the interchangeable mag wells I don't see much of a difference.
I have the FPC and waisted my money because I wanted a rifle I could use a scope on. Well what else could I waist my money on better than Smith & Wesson....
The response was pulled off all the shelves and distributors end of February due to the problem that accidental discharge can occur as the bolt moves forward into battery. They pulled every single one of em. Mass recall. Having just come out for sale, then this happened. I wonder if S&W Response sales will ever recover after this. Probably will as most of the nooby gun owners will never have done the research. They just impulse buy.
I really like this rifle and ill be researching to purchase this one in the coming calender year. Off topic, in the middle of this presentation, Youtubz saw fit to put in an advertisement of a gentleman who lost his child during Sandy Hook-An Assault weapons ban ad. Not to make it racial, but when people of color are/have been the focus of gun violence for decades, nobody saw fit to have ads anywhere to talk about banning guns. only when if affected you and yours. Ill keep ALL of my 2A privileges, thank you very much. Im sorry for your loss, but you surely didnt seem to pay attention while me and people like me were having our own losses in similar situations. Leave me alone as i have had to leave you alone during all of this. ok, im off my soap box...
@@wherearewegoing3657 It's not an AR platform. But the PC Carbine has interchangeable mag wells to convert to different magazine compatibility, which is what Smith & Wesson has done with the "Response" carbine.
It appears to lean to more of an AR platform than the Ruger pc. I had the Ruger and other than the interchangeable magazine well, this is totally different in its layout.
I would agree with you that, if the FPC had magazine adapters, there would be little reason to make or buy the Response. I guess S&W are covering as many bases as they can in the market. Others are criticizing S&W for making products similar to what others have made before. If they see something is selling, why not make an improved version and get on the bandwagon? Everyone copies what sells.
Smith just out here pissing everybody off. Swiping designs... making their guns out of plastic... And they have the balls to MSRP this at 799.99. 😂 Nah...
Beretta CX4 Storm too is all polymer and extremely reliable. I’m glad that S&W went that route to make things lighter.

The FPC does not have the flex-magwell but it is very cool. Kudos to S&W. They're killing it. And they're full-throated American 2Ad supporters.

S&W should make a Magwell for Equalizer & Shield Plus magazines!
The pistol grip back straps seem a bit superfluous but I'd buy one if I didn't already have a FPC. Now it time for Glock to make a PCC.
I can't decide now, do I just wait for these to be on the shelves or just go and buy the FPC. I'm imagining the FPC would be pretty much the same and have the convenience of folding
This is better in my book. FPC looks like a toy n this is AR style.
The FPC isn't an AR platform and the Keltec costs less. I bought the Response as a training weapon to save ammo cost over my AR15.
Do they have magazine adapters that accept the Sig P320 magazines? Or is there any other PCC besides the Sub-2000 that is comparable with them?
No word yet from S&W. Wait-and-See game here.
@@SportsmansOSS - Thanks!
I love my Faxon PCC. This bei g polymer is a red for for me.
Cool I didn’t know you guys hade a UA-cam page. My favorite online store. Subscribed.
I like it… probably is able to take a 50 round drum and extended Glock mags.. having various options is always nice.

Is the magazine catch polymer or metal? Keep hearing complaints of metal catches chewing up the Glock mags in other pcc’s.
What is the operating system is it straight blowback or roller delayed? I don't understand how you do a review and don't discuss this aspect of the firearm.
Straight blowback.
Cool I might pickup one
what is metal on the FCP versus what is polymer on the repsonse?
S&W just released a safety alert for this firearm!
I have the FPC and Sport II 5.56, I guess, a Response 9mm will join them. 😊
So the FPC has more pistol like controls where the Response has more so AR like controls? Other than the position of the safety, the mag location, and the interchangeable mag wells I don't see much of a difference.
The Response has AR breakdown where the FPC uses allen screws like the Keltec.

No price?

¿Cuánto cuesta?
Ping me when it’s in 10mm

So, with the FPC, Smith & Wesson copied Keltec's homework, and with the Response, S&W copied Ruger's homework. Got it.
Smith did it better both times too 💪
Ruger copied Keltec's homework too.
That’s it one manufacture make a PCC and no one else can. I have news for you the all copied Winchester.
I haven't seen the Ruger AR platform 9mm. What's it called?
@@wherearewegoing3657 It's not an AR platform. But the PC Carbine has interchangeable mag wells to convert to different magazine compatibility, which is what Smith & Wesson has done with the "Response" carbine.
They need a model with a smaller mag for the less fortunate States...
You just get lower capacity magazines, gun shops by me just swap em out
If it's plastic they need lower price
It’s not just the plastic you pay for. It’s design and tooling. For many users, the lightweight polymer parts will be a plus.
This is a complete knock-off ruger pc carbine 😂

@@CptTyredagreed. And exponentially lighter. Shot both, it’s not even close.
Which was a knock off of marlin’s camp 9, what’s your point?
Should have just made the FPC with an adapter for the magwell from the beginning. This is NOT what people are looking for

Over priced imo 😂
Yup let's not make anything for lefties.
We have a video coming out soon about the Beretta BRX1 that you might like
Nordic already dod the magwell already.
