- Bon dia! Welcome to the South Pacific Ocean, where we are sailing off the coast of Chile. Today I am cooking with my friend Sandro, who is the chef here on board.
This amazing talented chef here on the Ventisquero cooks the daily breakfast, lunch and dinner for the crew.
The hardworking fishermen are lucky with this great chef and host. Sandro only uses the freshest veggies, other top notch ingredients and of course freshly caught Chilean jacked mackerel! This fishing community is famous for it’s sustainable practices and currently known as the only MSC certified mackerel fishery in the world. A great example how we should fish for the future.
I am so grateful to cook with Sandro today! Since the fishing currently underway on the upper deck, we're keeping it simple with a tasty smoked mackerel sandwich with guacamole. That fish looked amazing. I would like to see how it was prepared and smoked.
As a Texan guacamole is a staple here and his looks like its on point! I do a cubed marinated smoked tuna on a toasted torta topped with roasted hatch chilles and guac. Ill need to try it with the mackerel however, sounds delicious

@bart usually I enjoy your videos because of short length, however this video needs a extension especially when chef taking about the life on boat video quickly cut into the receipt of cooking
