I watched both 7 and 7 pro reviews and the ultra wide video on 7 looks a bit low quality on my monitor somehow. Not sure why. All in all, wonderful cameras! Thank you for the great reviews!

Me to! The last one in the shop in this town (Norway). I actually got Asus zenfone 9 because of the compac and "stock android" - comming from pixel 5 however its so difficult to downgrade the camera (golden moments in life). Lemongrass looking forward for it! :D

I saw that it's using a lot of software enhancement to make a digital zoom look good and usable. Knowing that the x2 zomm is just a crop in the 50 MP wide lens.
Can you also take indoor shots? Most photos are taken outside, but I've taken a few pictures with the Pixel 7 indoors and they look very contrast-heavy and a bit over processed.

Just a reminder for folks to check & turn up the playback quality on UA-cam. For me, it defaulted to 720 so of course everything is going to look less than ideal.
Nice video showcasing what it can do. I think the Pixel 7 is a good phone for me. For me a phone is utilitarian. I don't play heavy games. Photos are casual. If I want professional I can just borrow my Wife's Nikon D850 and 500mm lens bla bla for $5,000+ dollars. I use my phone for texting, occasional phone calls and browsing and watching some videos. Then some handy features like google assistant and alarm bla bla. It excels at these things. I do NOT need a flagship phone with my usage and I do not want a super budget phone either.

It's a great colour! The raw is a completely unedited file. It includes more information than a JPG, so you can lift more shadows and recover more highlights. If you like editing your photos I would recommend to shoot in raw. The unedited JPG I'm sharing in this video is how the Pixel has processed the photo. So if you only shoot in JPG mode, this is the straight out of camera file that you get.

It's the same camera as the pro.. the same specs essentially as the pro...only varies in Ram (8 for 7 and 12 in the pro) and the extra Telephoto lens for the pro..this is, a flagship devive then.-)
hey i noticed the zoom on the mini clip of the phone on the right bottom of the screen is at 1x... not .7x where you were refering them to as wide angle pics
Yeah I find it a little confusing, but 1x on Pixel is called Wide camera. Then .7x is called Ultrawide! They don't have a camera called "main/standard/etc" it's just called Wide.

I like the regular 7. It might not be able to zoom far but it does a lot of things for only 600.

Hi Julia! while doing this photoshoot did your Pixel 7 get overheated? Because mine is getting overheated after clicking 2-3 images.
You can give us some photo sample in Google drive so that you can actually see the real quality of those photos

So it's basically the same as the 7 Pro minus the tele lens.
Yeah, it's missing 5x telephoto, zooms only up to 8x digitally, the ultrawide camera is different too with fixed autofocus and no macro.

I think image and video quality on phones hasn't changed since Samsung S8. It's a shame that there is zero advancements made in nearly 6 years.

The 1x zoom is a 24mm full frame equivalent, which IS a wide angle. She refers to the .7x as the ultrawide.
