    As you know, the "captain's side" motor mount has a strong upward torque reaction when the throttle is stabbed. This tension force is much more destructive this mount than the compression force on the "drinker's side" mount. Keep the drinkers side as is and install a distance-limit chain on the captain's side.

    • @lukem7203
      @lukem7203 2 роки тому +3

      I'm thinking basically the same. Might be kind of a roll the dice thing but I bet it wouldn't cost much to repair the heads, probably just more time investment than anything. Considering how much abuse those burnout engines go through i personally would have a tough time justifying a big reinvestment in the engine since heat will usually melt even the best one you can build or have built. I would probably just do enough to get it running right and hope for the best. Be such a shame to basically start over on such a sweet engine. The piston doesn't look that bad imo

    Hey, I don't know how willing you'd be to switch up some of the electrodigicals but have you ever considered looking into the electric power steering motors out of something like a Prius or Cobalt? You can actually get them relatively cheap, and there's pin out guides online for how to wire them. It'd completely eliminate that PS pump that caused all your issues in the first place, and could be placed behind the firewall in the cab, giving you even more bay room.
