Hello Brian, your list is excellent. I would also like to mention the following: Catholic Production with Dr. Bran Pitre. Fr. Mark Gorin. The John-Henry Western Channel. Renewal Ministries. Divine Mercy with Fr. Chris Aler.

@@interianesq when a Priest has low production values I give it a pass because I know how busy they get in a parrish. we are fortunate to get any videos at all.
Yes one of the videos on his channel began my conversion it was a talk by a nun about Saint Faustina. I love all of his talks. I soaked them all up during RCIA.
Catholic Truth, Keith Nester, and Religious Hippie, you, and Sean Hussey and Pints With Aquinas, and Gabi After Hours, and Ascension are my must watch at the moment. I have a lot of them.
Catholic Truth? Yeah, he blocked me for asking questions... though he claims it is a glitch. (Okay, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, because we all know UA-cam has its glitches.) Then he asked me to come on his channel and when I said I would, he never mentioned it again, eventually engaging in personal attacks and saying he and his team would commit to praying for me, but that he would also ignore any further correspondence. Maybe "truth" isn't his real agenda?
No, it's not. Only some of the people there are. I was watching their series of Clips of Aquinas 101 & loved it so much, until they started doing videos of how the abomination of evolution is true, painting Aquinas as part of it (he would have burned those books!) & that the Old Testament is fables - could you give me a bigger blasphemy that that!? Despicable!!
I really love the intro to Bishop Barron! I came across catholic UA-cam, and Bishop Barron while going through a really hard time of change and loss which had me questioning everything and still when I hear those tones when I stumble across and older video, I find it really a comfort. Like I know that I am going to hear something true and sincere, at a time when the rest of the world only had me feeling more desperate, anxious and empty. It was a life line.
Barron teaches a few things that are opposite church teaching. He has had opportunity to spread the faith on secular channels and refused to do so. Example Ben Shapiro asked him if he was as a jew going to hell. An B told him there many paths to God. That is not church teaching. Their are other things as well, is he a sincere man, i believe so, does he love God I really believe so. But he is not orthodoxia in his belief not completely . Of course I fit this bill as well but I am not a bishop
@@Mike-qc8xd That's fair. I believe Bishop Barron to be a sincere man also, but one who perhaps lacks courage sometimes. I do not say this to condemn him as we remember the example of our first Pope Peter. I know I've fallen short in this area so many times. So I do not accuse Bishop Barron but I do not excuse him either.
@@ypolevaya I have never heard bishop Barron say anything against catholic teaching. it is sad to me that so many catholics want to condemn him. I love Bishop Barron. I also listen to Fr. Mike Schmidts sermon every Sunday, anything from Frs. Ripperger and Lampert, and father Terrence, Fr. Goring. There are a lot of good catholic priests to listen too. Thank God for YOuTube!
@@theincensedcatholic I feel a similar way, that I know I have not spoken my faith boldly enough in some circumstances. So I won't condemn Barron either but we laity do need courageous bishops to encourage us. They are supposed to lead the way, our shepherds. There are times for diplomacy but we can't keep capitulizing to worldly culture. We've lost so much ground to evil ideas.
I got banned from Return to Tradition after I asked if posting the lastest Pope Francis gossip again was helping anyone's faith, including his. Not surprising, but 3 polite sentences to a ban says something. Some of these channels are Protestant attitudes with a Catholic overlay. Yes, there is criticizing the Pope or being frustrated modernity and irreverence. I get it. There is also walking this journey ready to reject Peter and the vast majority of your fellow Catholics for not living up to your personal standards at any moment. Catholicism is not the 1962 Roman Missal and constant diet of Vatican rumors and semi-rebellion against the Church. Better I think to be an NO attendee who never heard about the Vatican, never spoken a word of Latin, and be on the journey of loving God and loving your neighbor.
I’m so glad you mentioned the criterion of Holiness. I truly believe that Catholic media that lacks this quality is effectively desacrilizing the faith - comprising people’s very sense of the sacred and turning the faith merely into a culture parallel to the secular culture rather than one that transcends it.
RECOMMENDED The Thomastic Institue, Pints with Aquinas, Matt Fradd, Trent Horn (Catholic Answers), Harper Dei, Gabby After Hours, Emily Wilson, How to be a Christian Rebecca Gorzinska, Word on Fire, St Paul Centre, Ascenson Presents, Keith Nester
Some channels that I meant to or should have included in my list are: Fr. Mark Goring: ua-cam.com/users/FrMarkGoring Ken Yasinski: www.youtube.com/@Catholicspeaker Catholic Productions: www.youtube.com/@CatholicProductions The Brendan Option: ua-cam.com/video/RjMhUOe_HHU/v-deo.html
I watch a lot of different channels and in addition to ones you and others here mentioned, I appreciate Father Chris Alar’s talks from the National Shrine for Divine Mercy
The Remnant and Return to Tradition probably do not meet all of your criteria on some level, but they talk about things that Catholics should consider or be aware of.
They are destructive to the faith of Catholics, offering only reasons to be constantly upset with Rome. The next time you watch a podcast, ask yourself: Can I do anything with this supposed information? How reliable is it anyway? Would my mother consider it gossip? Are they managing to show charity to our clerics as whole? I know what my answers are, anyway.
@@sniperpronerfmods9811nope not at all, he talks about sedevacantism but he’s no sedevacantist…he’s a traditional Latin mass Catholic who attends Mass at the Fraternity of Saint Peter who’s in comunión with Rome

The GregorianChantAcademy is a great up and coming channel on Gregorian Chant. Some really cool video work, plus a very well informed guy behind it who can really sing.
Hi Brian, thanks for the list. I would suggest 2 additions; Breakfast with Bacon for good conversations, Decrevi Determined to be Catholic with Robert Nugent mainly talking about the revival of the Irish church and yes, one last one, Father James Blount for someone who is super enthusiastic about the faith. And one more, Fr. Heilman and Doug Barry's Grace Force Podcast. Thanks for great content!
Pints and Aquinas is getting there with feuds. He indirectly critiques (does not call out names but you know who he is talking about) vs Reason and Theology directly critiques and name names.
Very surprised he wasn’t recommended. I think he is great and seems to be a holy person. I saw him at Mass once and he seems like a genuinely good person….
You challenge but never disappoint, Mr. Holdsworth! Personally, Amber Schneider's Religious Hippie is up there for me. Her honesty and emphasis on Millennial/Gen-Z issues is a breath of fresh air. Thanks and God bless you!
I was a lifelong convert from evangelical Christianity at age 50. I love Keith Nestor because he is passionate, edifying and challenging. He also is a Protestant convert and former Protestant minister.
Lots of great recommendations in the video and the comments. My small contribution is recommending the channel "Sing the Hours", who uploads a chanted version of Morning and Evening Prayer every day (except gor a few days after Christmas, when they are off). The uploads are beautiful renditions of the Psalms, Bible readings, prayers, and intercessions. Highly recommended channels.
Big shoutout to Biblical Bookworm too! Love her channel. Anytime I’m thinking of grabbing a new Catholic book, I check her channel to see if she’s done a review, and usually she has.
I’m glad that you made this video! I’ve been wanting to learn more about how to be a better daughter of God! Perfect timing and might as well say Happy New Year!
Awesome list. I'd like to include Sing the Hours by Paul Rose. My Latin is improving with each episode and I feel closer the Church as we pray together the Hours!
As long as audio is good, I am fine with other production issues. I love watching Tim's twitchiness, haha. He's a ball of energy, I think it's hard for him to sit still.
Honestly until I watched this video I never once thought about his A/V quality. Timothy Gordon's audience should be way bigger, he is saying crucially important stuff and setting a great example for young Catholic men.
As soon as Brian said "should have good production quality" I knew Timothy wouldn't make the list. 😂 But I like following him because he and his wife make a good team. His new Christian Masculinity show that he started has been full of rock solid info.
I respect your list, but would also direct well-informed, faithful Catholics to: Timothy Gordon, Tumblar House, RemnantTV, TheDistributist, Return to Tradition, Reason and Theology, Meaning of Catholic, Byzantine Scotist, Charlemagne, Catholics Against Militarism, Spiritual Catholic Strength, Meaning of Catholic, Our Interesting Times, Vendee Radio, Ritorno a Itaca, and anything with John Rao, E. Michael Jones, David Wemhoff, or Jesse Russell.
@YAJUN YUAN I have doubts about him - he doesn't always respond sincerely; but at times he logically presents a view which needs to be understood, since it is closer to that of at least the more influential leadership. I expect if I had to shorten the list, he'd be off.
I disagree about production quality. I appreciate work that looks or sounds homespun, and there's nothing wrong with being amateurish. Amateurism is a beautiful part of life that we should embrace. If a person views the church poorly because its members include amateurs, they have deeper things to work out.
Yes. All I care about is if the audio is clear and loud enough. I rarely sit and watch videos, but queue them up to listen to while performing household tasks.
Personally, I would rather watch something that looks good and listen to something that sounds good. Trying a new thing and having bad production quality makes it hard to concentrate on the content that matters, so at least with new-to-me things, they need to be well done. If not, it takes an endorsement from a trusted contact to make it worth my time.
As some additional honorable mentions. I don't know if these fit your criteria but Reason and Theology, Augustine Institute, Catholic Productions, Robert Haddad, Apocrypha Apocalypse, Catholic Brothers, The Jewish Catholic, and Jason Evert. Oh how could I forget the Brian Holdsworth channel. I don't know if you've ever heard of it but its pretty good.
Robert Haddad is fantastic. In Sydney I would run into guys who owed their Catholic faith to his teaching back in High School. He continues to make an impact.
@@Thomas-dw1nb I do as well. Lofton has come out as saying he's made an effort to be more charitable towards the Pope. Ok but it has resulted in him being a lot less charitable with other Catholics. Unfortunately, I've found him quite smug when engaging his audience. I once asked a question, for clarity. He took it as disagreement and was quite passive aggressive in his response.
The Coming Home Network has a UA-cam channel. Highly recommend their "On the Journey" series. I get a lot of apologetics that way too. I am also a Patron of Sing the Hours. Highly recommend both.
I'll say them if no one else is: Defeat Modernism, Return to Tradition, 99 Catholics, Sensus Fidelium. Sensus Fidelium is the king right now. They're hosting their own website for video content, which is like the priests who are saying mass in the catacombs, while others just "talk about" stuff. SF took action. Fr Chad Ripperger, one of the channel's frequent appearances, is an absolute warrior of our times. Holdsworth is ignoring critical criteria for what makes good content on youtube or anywhere else: "iciness"... his recommended channels are what I would call "children of the pasture" - it's all light and warm, go to channels that make you uncomfortable and challenge you with coldness and the expression of darkness to spur. You get the same effect taking a shower; taking a cold shower is very uncomfortable, but it keeps you awake and vigilant and it ignites an inner fire. DM, Return, and 99 Catholics all have that necessary iciness.
@@kyleellis8665 That, sir, is a oxymoron. You cannot be radical and traditionalist; you can only be radical and progressive (ie insurrectionist), that's what makes you radical. You wouldn't call someone that refuses to swim a radical nonswimmer. But you'd call someone who swims much deeper than most a radical swimmer. The word the world should be using when people are ultra conservative is "hesitant". And hesitancy is quite warranted in our times. It expresses a necessary point of view when people get "drunk" off of modernist ideas.
@@fourwinged Modernists support heresy. Radical traditionalists support schism. Radical traditionalism exists and it’s when you’re saying stuff such as “the New Mass is harmful” for example.
Taylor Marshall is great! He is highly educated, encourages praying the rosary, and promotes authentic Catholicism. Is he not included as a recommendation because he is a “celebrity”? Mother Teresa was a celebrity and I don’t think that was ever held against her…..
I don't condemn Taylor Marshall at all but maybe the reason is similar to mine. There's good there but still I feel I should try to avoid the focus on evils or scandals or infiltration of the Church. I already have a good enough idea about it I think and I also believe I'm doing what I should be doing. I had been watching Taylor Marshall in the past but stopped (occassionally I still watch something) and I think it has good effect on me.
@saulnelson7360 I am starting to see that people like Taylor Marshall and those of the same camp even though they are well-intentioned are leading people into sedevancantism
How to be Christian actually rubbed me really the wrong way as I was investigating Catholicism. Other channels did too but all of them put together did lead me to being convinced of the Catholic faith.
Completely understandable, Zane, thank you for sharing! Our channel is not done in a style that is for everyone, so we're glad that there are several other Catholic Christian channels out there that teach the same information in a different style. God bless you and your family!
Thank you for some new names - I'll check them out! My favorites are Dr. Taylor Marshall, Peter Herbeck, Ralph Martin, Father Spitzer, Sensus Fidelium, Father Ripperger . I do watch Timothy Gordon but watch less now after seeing him occasionally be deliberately mean sometimes to people when he feels threatened by a sincere comment. Otherwise, he has a wealth of knowledge that I have appreciated learning. Father Mark Goring is always inspirational. Dr. Daniel O'Connor, also a great source. Oh, Ascension Presents is also great.
A Few other great UA-cam channels not mentioned here are: 1)Beyond Damascus 2) Ken Yasinski is a Catholic Speaker. These UA-cam channels are great to lead Catholics in holiness. Brian as always you do a wonderful job with your UA-cam videos God bless you.
Thank you for these suggestions; especially good ones for recent converts and returning Catholics. Sadly, for those of us already in the trenches, I don't think we can avoid any longer the dumpster fire(s) in the Church, a fact which makes the contributions of Church Militant, Anthony Stine, and Taylor Marshall required viewing.
Such viewing in long term will destroy your faith. I will make an exception for Church Militant who is unwilling to criticise the Vatican, with good reason. Catholic news is not Vatican rumors that if ingested long enough will make anyone ready to rebel against Peter. Catholic culture is not the 1962 Missal with rituals trapped in mid century in the West only. The next time you watch a video with Pope Francis said this that or the other thing, remember Peter. Peter, who denied Christ 3 times. Peter, who ran away from Nero's persecutions. Peter, whom Paul had to correct in sitting with the Gentiles. Pope Francis is still objectively better by his mistakes than Peter. The point of the Papacy is not earthly perfection in one leader. Expecting it is a Protestant attitude. All the TLMs in the world won't cover over that ready to judge and rebel attitude over.
@@atrifle8364 No, the actions taken by the priests and bishop of my diocese aimed to destroy the Faith; I was as you until I was forced to deal with the truth of what the Church has become. It took me three years to come to terms with the heartbreak. And just because we listen to this or that report does not mean that we are compelled to believe it, no more than we are compelled to attend the Novus Ordo. The most awful aspect of the collapse is that it is true, I grant you, that we should be loyal to the See of Peter and his putative successor...yet what if the latter spares no occasion to violate the Deposit with which he is entrusted? What if, and this is an honest question, he is the worst pope in history, not for his personal sins, but for the rage he visits upon the Faithful? These are questions I never wanted to pose, but we are all forced to do so now, or keep our heads buried in the sand.
@@marcelw6045 - You don't get to judge your clerics like this. The attitude is the heart of Protestantism. We trust Peter because we trust Jesus decisions, not because he's Peter. Trusting God is exactly trusting that God can work through flawed men, like Peter. This is not the worst Papacy ever and your anger over it's lack of perfections is not a sign of it's illegitimacy. It is a sign only of feeding yourself spiritually rotten food.
@@atrifle8364 You are incredibly certain of things that are eminently uncertain in our times. Not to face what’s going on is willfully ignorance, and, as such, sinful. I’ll pray for you.
Not familiar with the others, but Church Militant _is_ a dumpster fire in the Church. Someone with a “DEUS VULT!” Crusader mindset from a darker time hundreds of years ago is not what anyone needs.
Everyone should check out The Meaning of Catholic. It is probably one of the only Catholic channels that features Catholics of differing viewpoints having charitable discussions.
I know they aren't explicitly Catholic but I feel it's also very important to have people who show their catholicism unapologetically while also participating in something secular. This is why I feel SQPN (the biggest show being Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World) is super important.
Called to More (Fr. Jordan Columba Ireland) and for all those who are wrestling with the Catholic faith The Coming Home Netwotk (all the others of my favourites were alrready mentioned)

Fantastic information share. Obviously, well thought out and well presented. I would have liked to have seen Fr. Chris Alar mentioned, as I have learned so much from his sharing the seminary lectures. God bless and peace be with you. Please, keep it up!
I would like to add a man named Brian Holdsworth to the list! My current top 7: RemnantTV Sensus Fidelium (helped revert my Faith) Meaning of Catholic Father Mark Goring Harpa Dei Elliot Hulse, as a new voice to me Brian Holdsworth (very interesting topics and musings, almost always I agree with his perspectives) I would also boldly say that Taylor Marshall was a big help to me in past years, although I have since moved on to other channels.
To be honest I only watch your channel and PWA. Your channel because your reasoning is so well put into the words. Brian I thank God you're in our boat. PWA because, as you stated, I can see Matt's struggles, he's not sunshine and rainbow hippie and he really is great interviewer.
@@butterflybeatles No, but he thinks we need to re-evaluate and even redefine the papacy in the light of the Bergoglio abomination. It's an erroneous position. See the video, "Does the Bible Predict 70 Years Without a Pope?"
Kwasniewski argues against hyperpapilism. It's not an erroneous position. There are far too many Catholics who believe incorrectly that the Pope is never to be criticized, always infallible. There are popular Catholic youtubers that enable that type of error. I find no problem with giving clarity to the role of the Pope and definitions.
Bad quality is not intentional when you're starting up, what moves you is the desire to share what others might have forgotten, not the ability to edit videos I think

This is amazing Brian! You and Matt Fradd are the two channels I support monthly. Thanks for all you have contributed to the church and its people.
SingTheHours is great for morning and evening prayer!
The Divine Mercy channel has some AMAZING series and the homily/presentation manner is engaging. Longer form but not as long as say, Pints.
Devine mercy channel is so helpful, especially Fr Allars ‘explaining the faith series’
Agree!
Love love love absolutely love Divine Mercy. ❤️
Thomistic Institute is such a good channel. Pure educational bliss.
Bishop Barron is probably the only person I would listen to! And of course they're many paths to God!

Glad Trad Podcast, Return to Tradition, The Remnant, Catholic Mom, Catholic wife and That Black Catholic Chick are worth considering as well.
I agree that Return to Tradition/Anthony Stine is a great channel
@@bellathereader1328 return to tradition is an anti pope Francis channel
I’m so glad you mentioned the criterion of Holiness. I truly believe that Catholic media that lacks this quality is effectively desacrilizing the faith - comprising people’s very sense of the sacred and turning the faith merely into a culture parallel to the secular culture rather than one that transcends it.
Absolutely!
RECOMMENDED The Thomastic Institue, Pints with Aquinas, Matt Fradd, Trent Horn (Catholic Answers), Harper Dei, Gabby After Hours, Emily Wilson, How to be a Christian Rebecca Gorzinska, Word on Fire, St Paul Centre, Ascenson Presents, Keith Nester

Ken Yasinski: www.youtube.com/@Catholicspeaker
Catholic Productions: www.youtube.com/@CatholicProductions
The Brendan Option: ua-cam.com/video/RjMhUOe_HHU/v-deo.html
I watch a lot of different channels and in addition to ones you and others here mentioned, I appreciate Father Chris Alar’s talks from the National Shrine for Divine Mercy
Yes! Fr. Chris Alar's "Explaining the Faith" talks are great!
Those are two of my favorite channels!!
Sensus Fidelium, Taylor Marshall are some of the best Catholic UA-camrs to really learn the faith. A lot of the others get way to much wrong.

Sensus Fidelum and A Catholic Mom’s life
Hi Brian, thanks for the list.

Decrevi promotes the Medjugorje hoax
Pints and Aquinas is getting there with feuds. He indirectly critiques (does not call out names but you know who he is talking about) vs Reason and Theology directly critiques and name names.
Yeah, Matt Fradd getting into beef on twitter is not a good look after he made all those shows about quitting twitter.

Love Sing the Hours!
Yes! Sing the Hours is beyond social media category. It’s a tool to use in Praying the Divine Office. Highly recommend.
Thank you Brian!
Honourable mention to Brant Pitre and the team at Catholic Productions

Great channels there, Brian. Bryan Mercier is another popular one and very insightful, too.
Also, the myriad of conversion interviews. They are a huge source of continual inspiration to me.
Awesome list. I'd like to include Sing the Hours by Paul Rose. My Latin is improving with each episode and I feel closer the Church as we pray together the Hours!
Production is too low to be on this list, but Timothy Gordon's Rules for Retrogrades is a must watch.
The guy has no idea how to focus a camera
As long as audio is good, I am fine with other production issues. I love watching Tim's twitchiness, haha. He's a ball of energy, I think it's hard for him to sit still.
Honestly until I watched this video I never once thought about his A/V quality. Timothy Gordon's audience should be way bigger, he is saying crucially important stuff and setting a great example for young Catholic men.
As soon as Brian said "should have good production quality" I knew Timothy wouldn't make the list. 😂
But I like following him because he and his wife make a good team. His new Christian Masculinity show that he started has been full of rock solid info.
Nah. He’s a rad trad.
Love E. Michael Jones! He's brilliant when it comes to explaining what's going on with the degradation of our culture.
Amen !.
@YAJUNYUAN yes , relativistic content.
@YAJUN YUAN That would be Lofton's channel and I agree.
He hates to be questioned. When something cannot be questioned, it's propaganda.
@@theincensedcatholic yep. Same. As long as i can hear what people are saying and it doesn't hurt my ears, it's good enough for me.
Agreed. In my opinion, some youtubers are basic without much editing and that’s ok with me
Personally, I would rather watch something that looks good and listen to something that sounds good.
I'm subbed to R&T, but I do have some reservations about it.
@@Thomas-dw1nb I do as well. Lofton has come out as saying he's made an effort to be more charitable towards the Pope. Ok but it has resulted in him being a lot less charitable with other Catholics.

If you just want the recommendations they start at min 7:19
Cool, although I really enjoy his introductions too
I'll say them if no one else is: Defeat Modernism, Return to Tradition, 99 Catholics, Sensus Fidelium.
99, RtoT, & SF are awesome. Fr Chad rocks!
Return to Tradition is a radical traditionalist, so no. Sensus kind of as well and they appear scrupulous with all due respect.
We are a faith built upon tradition. Some modern Catholics speak as though they'd prefer to go the sola scriptura way.

Completely understandable, Zane, thank you for sharing! Our channel is not done in a style that is for everyone, so we're glad that there are several other Catholic Christian channels out there that teach the same information in a different style. God bless you and your family!

Yes, I like Ken and his wife, but I get Ken and Gabii mixed up, lol.
