H/H match update: After only a couple of weeks, the "new rule" for selecting H/H match celebs has been discarded, and I doubt many will lament its passing. Gene abruptly informs us today that they've gone back to the "old rule," and now the returning champion may select whomever she wishes. She wishes to choose Richard again! This time it doesn't work out for her, but it's hard to blame Richard for not matching the contestant's obscure reference... (Note: the contestant says she matches Richard at home, so that's a legitimate reason to choose him. Sometimes though I get the feeling some contestants simply choose him because everyone else does.) We also have a second H/H match with a second contestant who likewise chooses Richard and likewise fails to match him... Here's the updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: Orson Bean - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 83.3% (5 wins in 6 attempts). TIE: Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Betty - 50% (15 wins in 30 attempts). TIE: Fannie - 50% (8 wins in 16 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Brett - 37.8% (14 wins in 37 attempts). Richard - 37.0% (95 wins in 257 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 483, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
