Dagan still has some form of attachment to the Jedi Order's Light-Side beliefs. His main goal was to bring the Light Side to all corners of the galaxy no matter what is used to accomplish the goal. His own military, the Bedlam Raiders, all wear Jedi-like robes and armor. In other words, Dagan's army is a radical Dark Jedi Light-Side military. There were even Dark Jedi who fought for the Republic and the Jedi Order in radical ways in Legends' Old Republic games.

@@lieutenantwolf5437 It is orange-red. Not red. It is similar to the color the Dark Jedi in the Ahsoka series use. Orange-red pretty much means a Dark Jedi who still has noble intentions at heart. They are not fully corrupted by the Dark Side but still use it anyways. Dagan did tell Cal his intention is to start a Light-Side crusade to destroy traces of the Dark Side completely starting with the Empire before their final duel. Plus, Dagan's eyes and appearance remained the same and never gained Dark Side eyes or corrupted appearances.

@@lieutenantwolf5437 In Legends, there were Dark Jedi who still served the Republic and the Jedi Order albeit in a more radical and violent way. Fun fact, you can play as Dark Jedi in the Old Republic games when fighting for the Republic. Dagan has mixed emotions because the Jedi Order is gone, his friend is gone, the Sith has taken over the Known Galaxy, he was trapped in Bakta for hundreds of years, etc. He is reasonably angry but that doesn't mean he is fully committed to the Dark Side. He wears his High Republic Jedi robes because he still is a Jedi at heart no matter what happened to him. Also, whenever Cal mentions his Jedi past and friends, Dagan is hurt and tries to make excuses to forget about betraying the Jedi. Plus, Dagan only fights Cal when Cal stood against him. He even gave Cal a chance to leave even though the former cut down many of his soldiers. Also, when Dagan took over the Bedlam Raiders, the Raiders became more strict and focused compared to how Cal first encountered them. The Raiders' attacks on villages are just an act to prevent the Empire from knowing their true intentions and to make themselves seen as just common criminal thugs, not a small militia.
The real betrayal is whoever decided to give Cal a topknot

This is why this game could easily have Cal swapped for Quinlan Vos. I mean Legends Quinlan Vos. Does what he has to, grey Jedi, none judgemental and offers time after time for repentance.
Cal is the perfect mixture of Kyle Katarn, Quinlan Vos and I'd actually say later days Luke.
He ain't a mixture. Cal is just himself. You could say the same to vader. A mixture of Batman and Anakin. Hope you see where that nonsense is going

I still can’t stand that we couldn’t Dagan in full (with robot arm). They have the technology! But he limits himself.

Ok like how strong is Cal now? Like could he go with Darth Vader and do better?
Probably not at that level of Cere against Vader, but probably rivalin some of the Masters we have seen in Clone Wars. Probably could have matched Malicos one on one at this point given how he dispatched the Ninth Sister easily who seemed to have grown if a bit stronger than their final duel in final order. Given he defeated Rayvis an experienced Jedi hunter alone and stood up to Dagan and Biden both fallen Jedi, one a possible Knight/Master with just one arm was more than a match for Cal and Boden while the other is an experience Jedi Knight skilled in various weapons alongside the force who was more than a match for Cal and Merrin shows his progress. Albeit tapping into the Dark Side too for both points. He could defend himself better against Vader, but still not quite a major threat to him alone.
he is probably jedi master level if he go all out using dark side. not any of the op ones like windu or yoda, obviously. against vader he probably has a good chance to escape alive, beating vader is probably impossible.
He’s Jedi knight level, Vader will still destroy him but he’s really strong
I think he still saw cere as his superior so he could probably duel vader but lose

In the first fight. His betrayal of the Order was caused by his obsession to return to Tanalorr after the council pulled out due to the Nihil invasion. That obsession led him astray from the ways of the high republic jedi, and as a result, Santari started working against Dagan. He talks about it whilst he's bleeding his Crystal.
