It's a shame that M. Shadows doesn't produce heavy grit on the high notes anymore. It really was a huge part of the band's signature sound, so it makes playing older songs like this sound a bit different. But I guess it's just what he has to do to preserve his range, which still kicks ass.

I started getting into rock music as a whole, including classic, southern, 50s era, etc. when I was in my early teens. I'll be 20 in a few months. Up to this point my favorite band of all time (which I never thought anyone could come close to in my mind) is Guns N' Roses. A little over a year or so ago I really got into some of today's rock when I started listening to Evanescence, and they really got me listening to more of today's rock. I heard some A7X periodically before, but I never really got into them until the last 6+ months. A7X has now became the only band that has came close in my mind, besides Evanescence, that could be a very close second or tied as my favorite bands of all time. I hear a lot of GN'R influence in the guitar solos and somewhat in how The Rev played and Portnoy did on the Nightmare album as far as drums. A7X is really one of the leaders in my mind in music today.
Fucking shit A7X has been incredible through the adversity since the REV!!!!!!! Who is the fucking man if you don't know. But thank god Brooks Wackerman is here because there is not only amazing music happening but a chemistry we all thought might not happen again. Anywho. FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of people doesn't seem to understand that the altitude and temperature can affect anyone's vox. It's really hard to breathe in high places and I'm sure it's really cold out there so the voice box or something like that tends to shake like crazy. Matt did a great job controlling his voice given this situation so people should just quit botching about the "change" in his voice in this particular live show. Geez.
