yeah, of all of gates' solos, Though tricky, afterlife is the one i personally can play best (not perfect though).... I personally think 'The wicked end' has the hardest solo. ive never managed the get the sweeps down at the end of the solo.
The coordination needed to play drums is enough already, but to be able to sing play and do stick tricks is beyond amazing, thats why I respect drummers like the rev and don henley, and other drummers who sing and play

i dont care if you like avenged sevenfold or not, (i obviously love them btw) you have to respect talent. each of these musicians are (or were) at the top, in terms of skill, at their instruments. and if were being real, shadows can sing circles around almost any metal singer, or of any genre for the matter. the only names that immediately come to mind that compete are mike patton, rob halford and dio
I agree 100 percent every member is a master of their craft, im not a drummer and have never played drums but i love the revs style he was next level and was an excellent songwriter as well.

If you're a fan of Megadeth, you'll definitely like Avenged Sevenfold. Not only their sound has a heavy Negadeth influence(guitar solos etc), but just like Megadeth, they're one of those bands that plays technical music and still able to break it to mainstream

The best at that are Iron Maiden , even in their old years they are perfect on stage. Most of all good performance depends on singer.Of course the rest of the band are important too, but singing is the first impression. Even if you were in the same stage with Jimmy Page and you were Bieber or Nicki Minaj, I don't think it would be perfect

So, almost 10 years after seeing this exact video on MTV, keeping my eyes open so I could drink down every second of Syn's guitar pieces, yesterday I had the sheer privilege of seeing them live in my town. These guys aren't just great performers, they're really, really good people. And in this world of Arianna Grandes and Nicki Minajes who have no shame in publicly saying they wish death upon their fans, it really means a lot. If you're a fan of Megadeth, you'll definitely like Avenged Sevenfold. Not only their sound has a heavy Negadeth influence(guitar solos etc), but just like Megadeth, they're one of those bands that plays technical music and still able to break it to mainstream

Most of all good performance depends on singer.Of course the rest of the band are important too, but singing is the first impression. Even if you were in the same stage with Jimmy Page and you were Bieber or Nicki Minaj, I don't think it would be perfect

These guys aren't just great performers, they're really, really good people. And in this world of Arianna Grandes and Nicki Minajes who have no shame in publicly saying they wish death upon their fans, it really means a lot. Already counting down the days to when I can see them again.
