Great video. I have a a year and half Feral tortuous shell tabby named Camel whose mother was black. She lives inside with me and her mother and brother who are black and 2 1 year old sisters who are black. She is very different than her family members.

@@kathylorenz303 only one of my tortoiseshell tabby kittens were black. Her other kitten were a calico, a charcoal, and a fawn color. All were mackerel tabby yet also have some spots. The black one was born a smoke color but turned black soon after birth.
btw, ahh the mother was black not tortoiseshell tabby.
The tabby cat that visits us regularly loves exploring and will examine each and every thing in our garden and garage. GREY probably knows more about our stuff than we do. 😮😁

I named my tabby cat PHOENIX because in lore there is just one Phoenix at a time...well, my tabby has proven to me to be one of a kind with his attitude, antics, curiosity, smarts, and unconditional love. I just love my fur baby! He is a Mackerel, with a white underside, and a grey top side with black stripes.
Named mine Shadow ,because he would lay in the dappled light beneath the garden trees little breezes moving the leaves and finer twigs and vanish into the mix of shadow and sun ,you could look and he had become like an optical illusion in the wavering patterns of light and shadow.
we used to enjoy the game of where’s Shadow..feline version of where’s Wally .
I had a huge part main coon tabby he had a very ringed coat each with a dot in the middle ,he was extremely affectionate even laying in front of my 2 year grandson so he could pet him ( now a 14 year old grandson) supper affectionate ,but also a prolific ratter ,he use to kill 4-6 a week .He didn’t mess about playing with them,he would wait pounce then kill them with bite to neck .never ate them …simple vermin control.
So sweet and affectionate with all ….as long as you where not a rat😂
when he relaxed into sleep at the bottom of our bed at night he almost lounged himself the full length of our king size bed ..His mystic ability was stretching himself to dominate the end of our bed .

When we bought our first house, I let our kitty roam around to check it out, and all of a sudden our cat completely disappeared, we had no furniture or anything in the house yet and she was just GONE. I was so afraid she got out of the door somehow bc I was convinced she was no longer in the house. We ended up finding her between the cracks of the downstairs built in bar. I was so relieved, I thought we lost our baby!!!

All or most savannah and bengal cats are tabby cats. I have a rescued tortoiseshell tabby cat that also seems to have hybrid cat in her. Her coat short but silky, rabbit like fur. I'm not allergic to her as I am to most cats so something is different about her. But Om_, talk about ''Tortitude''. She has quite the loud hiss!!! She's also very smart. Can be very affectionate and talkative. Thankfully she not overly so. Very ''independant'', 😂. Yes, she's a great hunter. Her son is a charcoal mackerel tabby yet also has some spots. From what I've read there is more like 12 pattern of tabby cats now.
btw, she was under a yr and pregnant when I rescused her. She was spayed after her kitten were weaned.

I sure hope people don't go out to get a tabby just like that because they want too become famous. I've had tabby cats who were smart but not trainable in a sense of doing all kinds of things. Let's not forget they are still cats and cats will be cats.. My cat here in the pic is one that was just naturally smart a real copy cat.. She's 19 years old now and having some health issues. I also had an orange tabby who was very smart in his own way but not as interested as she was and he was a couch potato ( not as energized as her) but he wasn't fat either. Just trying too say " yes they are smart but they don't have all the same energy or intelligence. Think of it like a box of chocolates, " you never know what you're gonna get" there all intelligent but they are still cats after all. The guy talking in the video is not specific he's speaking in general terms. A good movie too watch about such a cat ( it's a true story ) is A Street Cat Named Bob. It's free right now on UA-cam. Another myth out there is that cats can stay alone for days, that cats are good at taking care of themselves and it's absolutely false and a cruel thing to do. I've left my cats just for an over night sometimes and if I was going to be gone longer I would have a neighbor or family member go in and check on them , give fresh water, food, make sure they're OK plus spend at least 30 minutes with them even if they don't come out. My sister had tabby cats too and they were not as friendly as mine. And cats like in the movie I mentioned above are rare. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
