the biggest mystery of this will be understanding when it all started, because if someone from feature became a past villain that outlived everyone to the point where he meets his future self, that would be crazy and then its hard also to explain that when this started, in past or future? cuz it can be a future tragedy that got teleported in past and then they outlived enough to meet their future selfs and thats mind-blowing to think
I think the BiW is storywalking from his own Fromville period to future chapters. What if the BiW somehow figured out how to get out through the lighthouse, did so, grew up, went into the marines, and then somehow ended up back in Fromville, and got locked up like.....Martin? The MiY though....(unsure if this theory turns out because I also have a theory that the MiY is BiW from the future). I don't think MiY is Randall. At all.
@@Elwood128 I think to be reincarnated you are born in the normal world and then get trapped in the town. Time seems to match up with the normal world, the aging of Victor and his father. And I am not sure you would change sexes when reincarnated, have not seen any indication that would happen.
@Elwood128 i think that Tillie may have indeed been a reincarnation, but not of Randall. I don't see a reason why it's not possible that the children who got sacrificed can't be reincarnated. When Tillie arrives in town, she seems excited, almost playful. In this theory, Tillie was one of the anggkhoeey children reincarnated. (Much like it seems Tabitha was a child at one time who hid behind the red rocks, maybe she was also a child that got sacrificed. Then she reincarnated into someone who sacrificed her own daughter. Then she reincarnated into Miranda, dies, and then reincarnated as tabitha. (This hinges on Tabitha being the child at the red rocks, so if the new revelation tells that wasnt Tabitha, but Tabithas daughter then this theory falls flat)
I think randal could be martin or have some powers similar to him, if we remember when boyd went to ruins, he saw two dead bodies and martin chained. I think these three (julie, randal and marielle)could be past incarnation of martin and other two dead people. I also think whenever julie is using storywalking, she is losing her life source. Also I think abby could be eloise in season 1 she mentions she had a dream in her childhood
If MIY is also another character in the show, I think there are several possibilities. Ranked in likelihood: 1) Randall, Boy in White, Ethan. And if MIY can shift their actual appearance, I would add Tilly to the list as a dark horse.
I think we forget miranda may have also been a story walker. How do we explain the paintings outside of Fromville? I love the Randall is the man in yellow theory because of the cicadas in the whole transformation process and I really believe that when Jade played his beautiful music, he unlocked the next step and our guy is able to morph into this guy. My question is if that is the case, just having fun here people don't come for me, what is Marielle's purpose?
What if the man in yellow is just an entity that takes a human vessel from time to time. The body he's in now may have been an old town resident. If that's the case he can inhabit Randall next. Because they aren't letting go of this cicada storyline with him so it's leading to something. Plus the monsters spared him which was bizzare. He also has the scar on his cheek like the man in yellow in the painting.
@@IntrovertRedacted Yes. It's Ethan's story. She was messing with him. Two Fae, one Red and one Yellow. The Yellow one was Norman. Norman was killed by a monster at the Lake of Tears. So, Ethan's story has a lake as well, something people have been talking about but randomly guessing. Could the drawing in cave be of the Red Fae? Also in the dungeon, Martin says they are coming. Was the music box a warning device that detects the Fae coming, not summons them? And Boyd like a fool smashed the music box? My theory is Ethan is from the town as well, but has a stronger link to memories as a child. Adults dismissing the memories as a child phantasy/play. I don't think Ethan is the creator of the story, the story is latent memories of past lives in the town. Also from season one episode one, Sarah killed the wrong man. I believe she was supposed to kill Jade and not his friend. Oops.
Agreed, I don't like the Randall is MIY thoery. No scar is the biggest thing. The only connection is that he has the same "curse" as Julie and shes a storywalker. But thats a huge stretch. I think the MIY is most likely his own entity and probably working against the BIW.
Randall doesn't wear a button up shirt with a collar. The Man in yellow wears a faded shirt that could be a match for Randall's. In order for future Randall to exist with no facial scars. Would require a rebirth similar to Smilie. Which would mean the Randall we know dies at some point. Either in the present(during series), near future(as a side note), or the past. Did someone in the present change the story in the past bringing about the man in yellow to begin with. A self-fulfilling prophecy/time loop kind of thing.
Maybe all those trapped down there have special capabilities we only got to know about one of them on the last episode of season 3. So yes he might be the man in Yellow
I think miy is a step above the other monsters but not the main entity. I think if he was the big bad of the series Fatima would have referred to him as a 'he' instead of an 'it' after she gave birth to the monster.
I reckon MiY is the jailkeeper, but not just for our protagonists, for the monsters and other malevolent forces, he cant have anyone opening the door and letting that shit out. It's the only angle I can come up with that makes any sense of what he says to Jim before killing him, It didnt have to be this way.
Based on all your reasoning it seems premature to dismiss the theory. You are basically saying Randall can't be him because Julie is the only one that can Storywalk. She got those powers by returning to the ruins and going inside. Randall hasn't done that yet.
@aaronburrell3729 Because he had to go through that in order to become the MiY. You are misunderstanding. The their isn't that Randall has always been the MiY. It's that he becomes the MiY, like Julie became a Storywalker.
So you misses the part where I talked about the lack of scars and the timeliness of the Man in yellow doesn't line up to randall? If you want to say the time travel ability with Randall is premature sure but him being the man in yellow i gave multiple reasons as to why beyond the time traveling elements. Lol rewatch the video and check out the 10 other reasons why he can't be
Randall always has the cicadas in and out of his mouth, Martin has blood worms… maybe they are incubating in his blood. Randall was tie up in cellar where Martin was also at.
Tabatha could of seen the man in yellow too remember the dream as a kid she had in the woods was in day time she probably could of been running from the man in yellow 🫢 and she screamed i dont know what elese could of scared her because the monster come out at night
Did you ever watch Supernatural? Demons need a human vessel. I believe the MIY is a demon in Randall's body. The only thing i can't figure is Randall's scar except the kimono lady has a scar... and where was he keeping his yellow suit...?
If it's a vessel thing than it still wouldn't be randall but rather his meat suit. I can definitely see some sort of demon element and dont think we can rule it out. Supernatural is my favorite show ever. I reference it regularly and use parallels as examples.
Randall is fatima. Fatima was boyd. Ethan is the childversion of Nathan and nathan was miranda tabby and the Boy in white at the Same Time. Meanwhile Ellis transformers hiself to julie because years ago he was dale. Please stop with this silly things
Agreed. I always thought the “scar” on the painting was simply creative perspective

I think that’s just blood splattered in his face tbh
It is the same splatter color as the rest of the blood red color
2 years for the next season is just ridiculous a person could pass away in that time
😂😂😂 right! But I believe it’s supposed to be beginning of 2026… even that is a long time.
Were already almost in 2025 so as long as it's early 2026 we shouldn't be that mad lol. 😂
I don't like to think that way but I felt the same way I don't want to pass over before i can finish the story 😂😂
I blame Game of thrones for this type mess. 😤
It's insane hopefully it's early 2026 so it's only like 14 months but it's rough

Good theory
I thought he was the man in yellow ever since I saw him. If it comes out that he is him, I won’t be shocked
Maybe Randall is Tillie, makes just as much sense as every other dingbat theory.

Man in yellow is taller than Randall
I thought of that too, but it would be too hard to get someone the same height and facial similarities for both characters

MIY is MIY. So silly to assume MIY is someone from the town, especially someone living. MIY in my opinion is a Fae named Norman.
Sara's brother?
