    Hola Neil, muy buen trabajo con esta fantástica mosca. Creo que es mi perdigón favorito.

      Hola OS, como estás? Si, es universal!! Este vídeo estaba grabado, principalmente, porque estuve harto de montadores de moscas, utilizándoselo este material y llamando la perdigon con otro nombre, ‘inventando’ un perdigón!🙈 Si montas un perdigón con este material, 233 de Hends, es una gasolina, punto.😉👍

    Looking forward to trying your flies, our season opened yesterday in Ireland, unfortunately bad weather is stopping it at the moment.

      Hello John, how are you. Thanks for viewing - first day of the season is always exciting, but not so much if you can’t get on the river! How frustrating. I would be pleased to hear of your successes when you try some of the patterns. Tight lines!🎣👍

    Still having problem understanding
    ?…is it better brown green side or “brighter” green side to tie?

    • @neilsspanishflybox
      @neilsspanishflybox  3 місяці тому

      Hello there. Sorry that you are still confused. It is better with the green side showing on the outside. The reason for this video, was to illustrate that, if you use tinsel 233, in whatever format, you are tying a gasolina and the perdigón should not be given another name. There are of course, other tinsels suitable for a gasolina. I hope this clarifies the situation for you.👍

      Hola, que tal. Gracias para tu comentario. Este vídeo yo ha grabado porque yo ha visto algunos montadores montar el perdigón con Hends 233 y pone otro nombre al perdigón! Claro, hay otros materiales, pero me punto de vista es, si tú montas un perdigón en Hends 233, es un Gasolina. Nada más. Claro, aquí en españa, conocemos el poder del perdigón Gasolina!!😂😂👍

    Thanks for the video. I just received a recent order from Devin's shop and realized that the HENDS 233 I ordered is the SPECTRA flash not the Krystal flash. I think the color pattern are similar and happy to see from your video that it should be !. The SPECTRA is basically knit strands and I was able to untie each strands out but it's not a wide strip. Not easy to see brown side versus green and I think I got both on the first 2 Perdigon I made. The green looks really like yours (amazing) and the brownish has still some sheen of green. Do u think the "wrong side tying is giving an inferior / less productive Perdigon? Thanks again.

      Hello Stephane, nice to hear from you and thanks for commenting. I wasn’t aware that Hends made a Spectra dubbing 233! I certainly haven’t seen it over here. If it is Hends 233 the colour pattern should be the same. I use Spectra dubbing quite frequently and the closest I have is 46, which is peacock, but it doesn’t quite have the iridescence of 233, thus copying the ‘gas in water’ affect. To be honest, I think that it does make a difference to the catch rate, BUT, if your version of a Gasolina Perdigón catches fish, there is not a lot to worry about! Stephane, contact me in my email address in the description and I’ll send you a few strands of Krystal Flash 233 so that you can compare. Your address will not be used by a third party, so feel free to give it. 👍

    Hi Neil. Thanks for your video. I have some Hends perdigones PBM233 on a spool. On the spool there's a greenish tint with some purplish-blue. But when I wrap it in a single layer over a brown-thread or light-olive-thread body, the color ends up purplish-blue only, with no hint of green. Any ideas? Thank you. EDIT: Actually, I just saw your other Gasolina video where you address the two sided-nature of the material, and the stretching issue. I had both going against me. Got it right this time. Thanks again.

      Hello jp, thank you for your contact. 233 can be a tormentor, but a highly successful perdigón when it comes out ok! I rarely use an under colour thread to tie, nearly always black, which I think reacts better with the tinsel. Check out my tying of the Perla Negra perdigon and you will see what I mean about tinsel on black. Glad that you have sorted out your problem and thanks for viewing.👍

    Great video I use the hends crystal flash 233. What uv light do you use? Thank you

      Hello Mike. Thanks for viewing and your kind comment. 233 krystal flash is just fine for producing the gasolina affect. The real point of this video is, that you can use other materials to create the affect, not just 233, BUT, if you use the 233 product, the end result is a Gasolina and not any other perdigon. My uv light is a single beam pencil style with a simple push button pressure switch. It has no brand name, made in China and costs around 11€ or around 12.5$ - how cheap am I!! It works just fine, sometimes!😂 If you have a problem getting something similar, drop me a line to the email address in the description, but they are fairly common I think.😉
