One tip on how to make your bro's sound quality better:
Make him record the audio on a smartphone or other device.
That way you can sync his audio with the video later. Hope you can give it a try!

Frank, I just ordered this pack with "Natsu" and will promptly forget that I did because it takes 3 months to arrive (thanks, COVID), but future me will be so happy! The cha su looked so similar in the bowls that had it, so do you think there is a cha su factory that specializes in it that supplies these premium ramen packs?

That's a good question regarding the chashu...I think the big players (Maruchan, Myojo, New Touch, etc.) still make it in house and just ended up sharing the technology...but I could be wrong too!

[“Pork Chashu”] Hi Frank! Have been faithfully watching and enjoying your every vid for the past years. Love how describe your many ramen experiences. Just wondering though. Why do you say “pork chashu”? Isn’t chashu made from pork unless otherwise indicated? It’s like saying “pork bacon” or “egg omelette”.
This is true, quite redundant of me...I think it's become a habit 😊
Although we are seeing a lot more chicken chashu these days, especially at modern Tokyo shops, where it's almost a requirement now to have both chicken and pork slices!

Love the vid but I hate PORKY ramen! We have a place here in NYC that has a very porky ramen. Once it cools down a little you can see the fat in the broth start to congeal and it wraps around your chopstick so that you have to stir it a bit to get the broth ‘moving’ again. Its the only ramen that I cannot finish the bowl..near the end I usually throw in the towel. And when I sweat it must smell like a petting zoo! But the other bowls look great! Can I order the 5 bowls but substitute the porky one for something else? I got the Miso bowls recently and they all were great!
Yes, really porky ramen does leave a trail of funk and fat everywhere it goes...I love the petting zoo analogy 😅
