Leo Lyons and Ric Lee were like twin steamshovels backing Chick Churchill and the extraordinary Alvin Lee. An incredible band. Saw them on their farewell tour in 75.🤠👌
Haven't heard this for many a year. From 1972. The drummer is Rick Lee. The guitarist is Alvin Lee, one of the most criminally under-rated ever. Leo Lyons on bass and Chick Churchill on keys. Was great to hear this again and the reaction was great too.
Quintessentially whenever this was. 😊 Rockin' blues. The buildup by the rest of the band were a big part of my initial pleasure in discovering TYA in the Woodstock movie back when. ✌🏼😎🎶❤️🍁❤️✨️🕊
Killer, banger to end that side of a great album,I still have them in my regular rotation. Saw them twice and Alvin Lee twice solo on top of that, he is one of the most underrated guitar players ever, he was like tuned into his own frequency and the notes just came pouring out of him. Great tone and instantly recognizable to his fans. Another great tune, with a different vibe, is Religion, off the other side of the album. That song gives me chill as soon as it starts. Love more TYA Please! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥
I don't know anything about the lyrics, but I LOVE the music. My brother had this album. All the songs are great, but this one tops them all IMO. Alvin Lee (RIP) was the fastest guitar player at that time. And a great one at that. You two felt it. (the album is "Rock & Roll Music To The World")
Alvin Lee was my favorite guitar player back in the day. Wore out the "Undead" album. Saw them twice. Once in Baltimore with Frank & the Mothers and Country Joe & the Fish. Quite a concert. And again at the Laurel Pop Festival with a bunch of other bands. TYA were great live. Alvin was the man for sure, but Churchill on the keys gave them their distinctive flavor (nice solo in this song). And the rhythm section was solid, of course. Great band! And great review SAD!
I bought this album used, way back in the early 80s, for a single buck. I've certainly gotten my dollar's worth, over the years. All good songs, but no real 'hits'.

Thanks Paul!
So great to see TYA being reacted to. One of the greatest live rock bands.

And what a great live band they where.
Top notch TYA here. These guys were the total package. Not a weak link amongst them. Fantastic!!
Absolutely outstanding, incredible band!!
