My unpopular opinion is that I don’t mind idols with bad stage presence 😭 I don’t know why, other than I believe there’s a lot more that goes into being an idol than performance ability, but I also can completely understand why people think it’s important and only stan people who are good performers
stage presence is objective and you can slay without giving one hint of stage presence too lol i stan groups which may not have the best stage presence but as like a person who is interested in dance

I definitely think stage presence is important as well. And while I’m sure there are many people who disagree. I always wonder if they would really want to go to a concert, where an entire group has no stage presence. Is that still entertaining for them? Really curious. To me even if you’re sitting on stage with a guitar, or just standing in one place singing. Having stage presence helps demand the stage, it helps get the viewers engaged and interested in what you have to offer. Stage presence isn’t just facial expressions, it’s how you choose to sing each word of a song, it’s how you choose to move to each piece of choreo. Performing is almost like storytelling. Singing, facials, and dancing (whenever it comes to Kpop idols) is all apart of telling a story and making your audience feel something. Whitney Houston is someone who didn’t dance too much when she performed, but her presence was still felt through the story should told, in the way she sang. She sang with emotion, and it made people pay attention. ❣️Great video!!
yes great point! it’s one of the reasons why concerts are so talked about if we take like taylor swift she knows what and when to do on stage and how to present herself having stage presence even with boybands and girl groups like one direction and little mix they had really good performances due to the interactions of how they just performed
