hi people!! it’s me hoshining my account’s comments are not staying, so i wanna specify that the fap cams i showed you are just the tip of the icebergs so its bad
Also for the reddit post i showed compares it to how delulu fans react to idols dating and how if fans react like they own idols then fapcam viewerd can to and are not bad
which is still not valid in my book

It's really gross how very very young female idols are treated like dolls all the time, and it's even worse when you find out these minors have plastic surgery??
And I like how you mentioned double standards, it's weird that female idols have to show skin and people perv on it, but when they wear something sexy of their own accord it's criticized.
Plus, no one criticizes Heechul for being a creep towards Momo 💀

As an ace I always found people expressing overly nsfw thoughts online out in the open already weird. It gets especially weird in kpop. These are professionals that sing and dance to make people happy. Nothing more, nothing less. Please leave it at that, ya'll? 😭

aint it just sexual harassment? none of these idols have consented to being spoken about like that so publicly its always been disturbing but i cant explain it. its one thing to have those thoughts its another to posts porn videos and say that a member is one of them along with a y/n situation or with their own bandmates.

@@ahnhyungseobhaveyoulearnth8286 It could probably be considered sexual harrassment, but with how widespread and anonymous it is, companies probably don't want to enforce rules. Not only that - it makes people more invested in the artists, hence more likely to consume their content, buy stuff etc, so companies probably actually like it. They don't care about the health of their idols as long as it benefits them.

I've noticed the weird/strange fan cams of girl groups. This stuff is disgusting.
Most music and media are so oriented towards s*x in general and it's always so disturbing. It's what sells and I still find it disturbing.

Very important topic to talk about, thank you! These f*pcams make me SICK and especially since I've seen so many of Yuna or Wonyoung when they were like 15 (!!!). Jail. Nothing to add. And also very often the most viewed fancams of female kpop idols are the ones where they wore the most revealing outfits, it's disgusting. It angers me so much how women get treated like objects or even get shamed if they feel confident in their bodies -while male idols mostly get a pass for everything or even praise.

you touched a good subject, and I must add, I'm a man in mi 40, I stopped being a kpop fan some time ago since most of my fav girls group are disbanded, although. In my young age as a fan, I mostly listened to girl groups (bcuz, duh) Even as a horny teenager watching girl groups shaking their asses on camera was a golden mine, Fancams on the other hand where always weird to me. it felt kinda invasive.
I don't know, it's a completely different thing for Idols to embrace and make sexy/sexual concepts that they like and want to push, than, people sexualizing them or being forced to do so (stellar case) also, it doesn't take too much to match the numbers and say that the vast majority of fans of kpop (new generation and old) are teenagers. it's like that south park episode with the jonas brothers.
I found out at a young age that most of those fancams are strictly bussiness, since i've seen a lot where the position to get the freaking camera angle is weirdly convenient (illumination, shots, angle, everything) and I got confirmed by one fancamer that a lot of these companies managing the bands are involved as well. So it narrow's down the search.
Sex sells, that's a fact, idols sell, sex+idols, it's a gold mine. It's correct, no, it will be stopped? unfortunately no, you know how much a fancam on a good angle and ilumination cost? a lot of fans and execs pay a good shit ton of money for that.
And i'm talking about 2012-2015 era, I can't imagine how frigging lucrative that bussiness is now.
I'm just saying, fan cams are good and all when you have a different angle of the idol (even if you find it sexually attractive, that's fine, a good fancam it's a good fancam) but man, an angle where the main shots are the crotch ONLY? at least try to disimulate a little bit, gezz

It is so true that the female idols are picked on way more than guys when it comes to weight. Not many people used to pick on Super Junior’s Shindong, but you see twice’s Jeongyeon get picked on all the time for her weight gain.
I believe it was last year that TREASURE’s Haruto got dragged by “fans” for his weight gain, but even in that situation it’s not in the same way that a female idol would. They have it rough, really rough.
There’s too much flip-flopping when it comes to fake fans getting (unnecessarily offended) about a female K-pop idols weight. If the idol is what they would consider to be “too big”, they sent her hate. If she loses weight, they send her more hate for losing the weight and becoming a little more skinny. “Too fat” “too skinny” and it just keeps going on and on.
However, I think when it comes to female idols… well idols in general, but females especially, the worst kind of issues that I’ve seen is that the same people that send female idols hate for gaining weight, will also try to defend them from other hatful comments when they lose the weight, Because deep down, they wanted the idols to be that skinny anyway??? 🤦🏾‍♂️ not realizing that firstly, neither extreme is okay, secondly, they don’t know the idol’s condition well enough if at all to even comment on their weight, and thirdly, to be making hurtful remarks in the first place is so inhumane and disrespectful. It’s just weird. I don’t know how else to put it. It’s just weird.
Another amazing video Hoshining! I really enjoy your format of how you present these topics. 🫶🩵

I would love to say first of all IT'S KPOP (I don't mean it in a bad way). I was researching one time about the sexualization of idols and one line I'd say stood out to me was that 'the female idols are mainly performing for the male gaze'. I think the name of the article is CREATED FOR THE MALE GAZE (I'm not sure). It's saddening that the female idols don't have a say in anything (of course they don't they're just working). They are seen as objects but I feel like they are made to be more robotic. They are made to look a particular way, talk and behave a particular way (and I believe the companies know what they're doing). This in my opinion affects the idol (I think I say this a lot but at the same time it's true) and even some fans (especially the ones who create a bond with the idol,I mean creating parasocial relationships). To me sexualizing female idols is just the companies way of making money (maybe because they feel like fans in the west would love it).
When it comes to double standards,I'm sorry but it's always going to exist. The male idols are not always going to be criticized for anything concerning their bodies but the females are. And it's saddening because these "fans" don't know what the idols are going through, they'd only see things from their perspective.
But hopefully we'd not have to talk about this topic (as I said hopefully even if I think it's always going to be a topic of discussion).
Thank you Hoshining for another beautiful video, looking forward to more.

Your videos are very good and informative, you really spoke the truth
Specially near and at the conclusion
Your editing is also very underrated, I'd just recommend putting captions but still (lighthearted, alot of k-tubers have them so I'm used to it haha)
Awesome video ❤ more people need to hear this

I don't think that's completely true, everyone who stans female idols sexualizes them to a certain degree but yes of course it's the straight male fans and the men running the idol business who sexualize them the most, though it's mostly female fans and gay male fans who bully female idols for their bodies and over trivial things (because of envy and because they are the easiest targets),due to patriarchal nature of the idol industry and our attitudes towards female,we feel entitled over female idols' bodies.

To be honest they chose this life and the adults/parents around them should've warned them against it if they really don't want to be sexualized. And let's not be fucking delusional, if these idols were fans of other idols, they probably encountered everything we see from a fans side and they probably sexualized idols themselves and know what it is. They wanted this. 🤷🏻‍♀️
