I contributed to Pencil2D sometime 2009 (indirectly). but my vision was different to rest of the contributors. so I made my own 2D animation software from scratch, Kage Studio, which is more on vector animation unlike Pencil2D which is more on raster -- which I believe Krita dominates among all opensource raster animation software. this simple car tutorial you have is easily done on vector animation via tweening which Kage Studio supports. hope to see you try one time.
Hey I was trying to contribute to pencil 2d too... So I can learn how to make an animation software myself. So please please please tell me how to make an animation software myself. I looked for tutorials couldn't find any... So anything would help. I'm a CS student I'm a beginner but I don't mind putting time in. So tell me how to do it. Any books? What do I need to learn opengl? Graphic.h? Or something else? Is it harder than programming a game or a game engine? Thanks. I would really appreciate any help. Cause I really really want to do this...😃.
@@JstJaybeingJay it's like programming a game, really. you need to learn graphics library, and handling mouse/keyboard input. before I made Kage Studio from scratch I've already created my own 2D game engine, Quixie (with its own scripting language, KonsolScript)
