Thank you for doing this video! I really want to learn to make "larger than mat" designs and your video has been the best I have watched so far for the type of decals I want to cut. I knew there had to be a way to make GIANT decals with my Maker and that I didn't have to go out and buy a new machine just to cut decals that were 5+ feet long (or more than 11.5" tall). You explained very well and can't wait to use your video to make my own.

I've been trying to do this with some round, complicated designs and I cannot get it to work. Bits disappear when I slice. It's very frustrating
I have circle templates on an 11x17 paper, I cannot align the cutter to match my circles. Any suggestions?

I did follow all your steps with my Cricut maker but it does not allow me to select 2 at a time therefore I cannot slice it ...it's driving me crazy is it me or the machine please help

I would have to agree with a lot of people on here best video short and simple it's the way they should all be not 3 hours long.
You should have had 4 mats, not three. The only reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to do this and it's giving me fits. Keeps trying to put two of my squares on a 12x24 mat and the only way I can fix it is to change one of them to a size of 11.49x11.49. I don't know why it's this way, i guess it's not a big enough deal to notice when I print it off, but it's just annoying that it won't work the way it should.

Is there some reason why it’s not letting me select my word AND the square to be able to slice?? Because I’m only allowed to select one or the other
Hey Melina, you can only select two layers at a time to use the slice tool. If your word is grouped, you will need to ungroup it first, then select each letter + the square to slice :) hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
How would you do it if you are using a font from somewhere else

I cannot get it to select 2 items to slice either... When I click 1 & then try to select the other the first 1 I clicked unselects...I can't figure out how to select both to slice
I have tried this too & it just moves the square I'm selecting above the other 1 I'm trying to select
Any ideas why the Slice tool wouldn't show up for me? I have the design grouped and locked but I also tried ungrouped and unlocked. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Hey Meagan, the slice tool only works when 2 layers are selected - they cannot be grouped or locked. That's usually why the slice tool isn't an option! Hope that helps!
@@SoFontsy How could I select all the layers in the design then? I uploaded an SVG and the design has tons of layers. Is there another format that's better? Help!

Yes! You can use the 12 x 24 mat ;)
It is not working, I can slice everything but then the original still says its is to large? I am trying to cut a 12 ft long x 9.5 inch wide decal! Thanks for any help..@@SoFontsy
Which machine are you using? Mine tells me 6x9 is all I can do
Hey there! 6x9 is the largest size for print then cut. Choose your layer and make sure it is set to cut (not print) :)

Hello! Unfortunately there could be a few answers to this, really depending on your computer and the specific cut file.

You didn't say how you selected more than one image.... im brand new..... never cut anything.... I select one purple square, then how do I grab the next one without deselecting the first?
