Sometimes this deck feels like it can't win, and sometimes it feels like it can't lose, and I'm glad we got the latter for its big moment in the spotlight.
A memory that will always stick with me from playing this deck is a time when I went to 5 against Gates or something similarly non-interactive, had a zero lander, but with Minion, Scale Up, Terror and was just like, "alright, Stomping Ground on top please, keep." I won on turn 2.
Can’t believe that someone actually plays Domain Zoo in Historic. The deck is so much better when played in Timeless where the manabase is so much more comfortable and you don’t have to rely on Leyline of the Guildpact or even Spelunking to fix it for you.
I seriously can't believe Jim's never played the Minion of the Mighty deck before! it's my go-to Bo1 dailies deck, you win in two turns or concede and move on. though this one is different than the one I play, the gist is the same, get minion and plop a Mt. Velus into play on turn 2. works way better in Bo1 when your opponent can't sideboard against it lol
I have a friend who runs a version of this in paper. Forced the entire play group to start running early removal and still gets salty if we take out the minion!
I didn't expect to see the Minion deck cast a Terror of Mount Velus with mana up to defend it.

The first time you don't get punished for keeping a one lander, you get a turn three kill. Nice

such a kind-hearted blood donor, always a bandage on Jim's elbow 😇
I love this deck, awesome!! Thanks Jim!
Look at me. 👀 I’m the combo deck now!😤
This deck is awesome
This has been the most fun vid to watch
how is the last pro tour of the year in the 6th month of the year?
That looks crazy fun.
🎵Break out! With me tonight🎵
*Sick ska trumpets*
I'm sitting in my break room laughing like a lunatic watching this deck so stupid shit. What a ride. "If we hit we win! ... We win!"
Fun, silly, but not stupid.
I like it!
Word of wisdom - tribal flames is not historic legal.
I hate this stupid deck. But you still get a like and a comment for the algorithm ❤️
I love to fatal push opponent’s first two creatures in response to pump spell ideally and watch them concede xd
Yeah this really is just removal check - the deck. If you kill the 0/1, you usually just win. If not you’re dead turn 2.

Let’s go Jim, you the man
This deck is sick! Might try to get it in paper assuming the cards aren't too pricy.. I wonder what a good replacement for Jarsyl could be
Dreadhorde Arcanist is probably the closest

I hope Jim revisits Historic Gates with Spelunking

I’m normally not one for commenting, but that first match was too cheesy fantastic.
First match: I mean, sure, if you're gonna call shots might as well be for yourself instead of your opponents.
