Nice socks...and a spectacular Fairline 58! I'm honestly unsure how it could be improved. And it looks like fantastic show weather, as well. All's well in James world.
your last comment took the words out of my mouth "What a beautiful boat" ! The shape of the fly stair dooris, I think a rhomboid...... Another great tour , thanks James.
If I was in the market for a new boat which I very much will be this year James, you have probably have sold me this Squadron 58. It is a very spacious and luxurious built sub 60 footer with lots of living space on it. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is phenominal which we have come to expect from Fairline Yachts, that cockpit along with the portuguese bow and massive flybridge, has a vast array of outdoor living spaces also. Another honest and informative tour of the new Fairline Squadron 58 James which you have sold to us all here.
@Boatscouk I will try to get down there, but I'm pretty busy this week , but if you have one at your Essex head office perhaps I could get a train from London one day and see her there James 😉
At last Someone has paid attention to what Galeon have been doing so successfully for years with their balconies, side bar and aft facing cockpit etc. (and about bloody time too!!!) I’ve been waiting with bated breath for a premium manufacturer to move in this direction. Brilliant boat, but unfortunately no way I come close to affording one at the moment, but still love it. Glad to see Fariline has taken this step!!!
They're bringing the side decks to the new Targa 40 too, the design for that looks great. I hope Princess keep up and evolve their models a bit, maybe an F55 replacement with some of the new features. Love the gloss wood on this, I think Fairline can really get away with it, where other manufacturers might struggle to make it look good these days.
@@aardvarkmindshankpoor? Galeons folding sides have hinges on display and you can see a gap of grp also as the gap where ir folds is big. The fairline has led lights on the caulk line around the border on the folding sides while also having no hinges on show and the teak flowimg flawlessly with no gap, clearly details isn't your thing. You can tell galeon is a much cheaper product in every aspect of the boat
Best looking boat I have seen reviewed recently. As to the cost, no need for any one at Fairline having to justify it. You can see the attention to detail and quality. The varnish on the woodwork, perfect.! If you thought the cruise ship horn was loud from your position, the horn on the Queen Mary 2 will put a parting in your hair and blow your socks off if you are on the top deck. Speaking of socks, nice ones; you should introduce Dan to your sock tailor.
Hoy get them fenders in, tomatoes by the skin, hewmungus stern platform, and the socks are priceless, and love your family outing to Ibiza. Well done mate
Great tour and boat. Had to giggle when James is in the glamorous aft seating area by the glass and in the background in contrast is a bunch of lads in high vis vests 😂 as ever great tours in an authentic way
Well….what Can you say…..Absolutely Superb….. Quality is just perfect …I was lucky enough to be onboard this yacht yesterday….. fit and finish is perfect…..Rolls Royce/ Bentley…standard…… Only two things I would change …. Lose the Crew cabin …. & small sink / BBQ …. And have a nice big Tender garage….. that would be absolutely Perfect ❤😊…. Great to see James and his new ‘Shoes’ Socks 👍😎👏👏
Love your straight forward no nonsense approach ….you always answer comments too. Every time I get near to buying another boat I can’t decide between manufacturer and type ie fly or v or s. Does my head in. Will certainly have a long chat soon….if you could go outside now and take one home what would it be and why?
Wow James, thank you for the heads up on this video 🤗 what a stunning boat ❤ I can't believe they have fitted so much into a 58 footer..... incredible!!!! Another 'class video' James and if I heard correctly, a sea trial to follow 🙏 P.S. loves the odd socks 😉 All the best Russ
This interior and layout equals the Princess Y80 Aquaholic just reviewed! Actually a perfect balance of the gloss/varnished finish wood and other materials. Exactly what I'd have. I feel Galeon might be looking at the 'hide and slide' beach club element with great interest, seeing they do most of the other unique features (drop down bulwarks, bar, etc)
What a boat! I l just love the reviews Can’t wait to see this at the show. I already know I want to buy my next boat from james in a few years 😂 Looking forward to the show this week hopefully I’ll get to sit at that bar👌👌

Brilliant! I’d watch these even if I weren’t into boats. Boat Show: Will you have the Parker 780 Escape on show? Our friends are looking for first boat, they love our 850 so I suggested they look at the 780.
Omg. I have the cushions at home so getting there, but that bucle fabric on the outside seats will leave pimple marks on your legs afrerwards if you are in shorts. 😂 That elongated aft is epic and with the wider sides makes this a real useable boat. Love to sell something like this.

Where do they find the slowest motors for the bbq and engines hatches? I have to get myself some? Kidding of course. Lots of great new boats coming out this year. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks James, all the best.
Nice socks as always. Now I will preface this by saying I love Fairline and think they are very innovative, however that bar and those bar stool with fold out balconies are rip offs of Galeon. They did that a few years ago and I think Absolute also did it. Besides that though, it is extremely well laid out and the space provided is ample, sumptuous and very well laid out. Those Sonos speakers you can get waterproof versions that float. I don't know if the standard ones do that, but there are Sonos floating speakers.
14:25 was going to say, if I’m in the VIP I’ll be damned if anyone is using my toilet as a day head. They can go in the crew cabin one, or the sea. Prefer the VIP to the master which is a real thing. They’ve kinda done the bathroom in the master is an afterthought
I was looking so much forward to this release. Absolutely fantastic, I love pretty much everything about it. My only issue is the bathrooms. The en suite in the master is 50% smaller than the VIP? Makes no sense. Also, I feel like the Princess bathrooms look so much more premium. Either way, it is so, so, so refreshing to see a premium brand bringing all of this innovation. Keeping a close eye to it.
The Squadron 68 is only 2 years old and manufacturers tend to run a model for 5-7 years to get a return on tooling investment - so I don’t expect any changes for a long time.
Well James, all those silly galeon-like gadgets should keep your service boys very busy........but I do like the bar.....:) (it would be un- Australian to not like a bar) Cheers S

Bard, the Google AI, tells me that the range is 200NM, which is rather limited. convert the cupboard that passes itself off as a crew cabin into a fuel tank and you'd probably get a range of over 600 miles - and now you can cross the Mediterranean, north-south.
Yes I can add that option . However Bard assumes speed at 20 knots. If you reduce speed to 8 knots - you can get about 800 Mike range with no extra tank 😊
Surprisingly high Insurance cost. I don’t want to be a pooper, but…. The base price seems high compared to Italian rivals. I do like the extending high-low. I’ve often wondered why manufacturers haven’t done that until now. Ceilings look low too. Not for me. But the vid was great.
With the strong points being all option, which when ticked makes this boat enter the price range of a premium boat two meters larger, this is a missed opportunity for Fairline to challenge Azimut, Princess, and Sunseeker in this sixteen to seventeen meters size. I think they should have at least made the port side bulk-head as standard (like Galeon do) and probably I would add the extendable bathing platform aft, which is really what sets the Squadron 58. Lost opportunity for Fairline IMO.
I don’t agree. The base price is the same as the competition. The customer chooses if they want the options. Customer feedback is great and 2024 is all sold out which shows all of us that the customer agrees this is a great boat 😍
all those motorboats with built in furniture on the bow are doing my head in: I want a bare bow, with acres of decking. capish?! all that furniture is for wusses. same thing for the flybridge: bare decking everywhere! and I want that hard top to go all the way to the back of the flybridge.
the cabin with two beds: can the two bed be electrically pulled together? captain and wife would live in there. that thimble-sized cupboard at the back is a joke.
Hate those fold down decks. They are totally the wrong location/shape. Should have extended right to the stern section of the boat. Wasted opportunity to open out the whole stern area.
when you can pull a barbie from such a location, you want the actual barbie to be no less that two feet wide - to griddle whole fish just out of the water...and have a big lid for when you want to roast the fish. as it stands, the barbie shown is just that: a barbie doll barbie. pathetic.
