Absolutely love this guys honest reviews… everything is discussed good and bad… You really feel like he’s an honest salesperson. I will definitely be purchasing my boat from this business. Cracking machine this is. I’d just have Sea Tag in to change the seat and update a few things inc a wrap…
Thank you you’re the only videos I now watch because you don’t try to sugarcoat and BS your way through obvious flaws, I would ask one favor for those of us in the colonies could you add the Imperial measurements ?
Hi James, hope you and the family all well. As usual... fantastic truthful and honest review.. We totally get what you are saying regarding the Fairline in 2012... was so advanced...one could easily fit a large fridge freezer across from the galley, no problem. We loved the flybridge hatch !!!! (your idea !!!).... This Fairline is very roomey compaired to other boats... When we are ready to buy....guess who will be our first call at port !!!! Keep them coming James :)
What I love about that serving hatch is... if they had placed it on the floor of the flybridge it would have worked. But they added another two feet to get to seat height. Even if was no step the entire seat could release to reveal it, not just the lid. Heh, still a novelty to have. Still might be good party shout window at anchor.
Also wanted to add re the helm seats... other upholstery ... can be changed easily and at reasonable cost... enough to think outside the box. Great value boat !
Great video and what a lovely boat Question please: what is the fuel tanks capacity? how much does is burn doing 20knts ? Thanks in advance keep them coming Cheers
Another informative tour of the Fairline squadron 50 flybridge James, for the cost of this second hand model it's relatively cheap for a 3+1 cabin cruiser. It's a well looked after family boat James.
Great fun videos as always. Question though - why do some boats have helm on left or right (even lower and fly bridge vary)? Also some boast have the inner most seat with the wheel. Would it not be better to have the wheel next to the window (if it winds down) then you can adjust it (and throttles etc) from outside when mooring?
Ohh good question. At sea we don’t have left or right hand drive boats so manufacturers put the helm where they want . It is usually placed so you can see the aft platform area for reversing into a berth and not for the sides (as you can see that easier) . Also some brands try and keep central for best viz imbeteeen mullions on the screen 😃
Big boat for a 50 footer . The galley at the rear was certainly ahead of their time James ! Now it’s the “cool” thing on most cruisers of this size Great review and I like your honesty and the special hatch james special addition!!
Excellent show as always James, regarding the review what can i say, the best i can say is that it was very hilarious, in the second cabin you mention head room from a sitting position 😂🤣😂, the third cabin we saw the washing machine, the side decks and the front of the boat only you know 😂🤣😂
Dude, your reviews are excellent, British humor very good, socks are ok, and when something is shitty or useless you point it… now that I like, very rare on your competitors (we can understand why…). GET THE FENDERS IN !!
Nice boat as always... Quick question though... How much natural light & ventilation does the wee crew cabin have ? Tucked away under the seats, it looks terribly gloomy down there
Your Videos are absolutely exquisite. And i see you have learned a lot probably from Mr Aqua Holic keep up the good work let me know if u have a sea ray sundancer out there.
That is one of my favourite boats I’ve seen so far James! 👌 except that gold gel coat, but could live with it, Half a mil is a lot of dosh, but well worth it, Mahoosive heads x 2! Plenty of room for the flossing, If you need to ask how much fuel it uses, you shouldn’t be buying a boat, especially if it’s half a mil 😂😂😂
Nice video and lovely boat. However just for the record boats and ships have charts and not maps 🤣 Also as you put it and I quote the back of the boat is called the stern 🤣🤣🤣
There is exactly 1 video on you tube on the new gen Targa 50!!!!! It’s in Spanish (my mother tongue) and it’s a bit lacking……WHY ONLY 1????….has that hull not sold well??? With all the videos of boats these days, from brokers and reviewers…..Would GREATLY appreciate a response on this mystery????
If I don't see a floss test on other videos, I'm thumbs downing it! lol... The bottom helm had similar square, flat seats as on the fly bridge. It looks, monotone... love the space on this boat though, fantastic. Enjoying your honest reviews in the videos too.
It's a nice boat. I thought people didn't like it when it's brand new because it didn't have the master in midship. I know the forward cabin is really huge but it's still irregular due to the shape of bow. The reason why it sells so well nowadays is not quite hard to spot in this video. It really doesn't look like a almost ten years old boat. Its quality must be top-notch.
Great Boat, always loved a fairline, alas I am a prestige owner!! Love the comment about consumption, I always say, if your asking, boats probably aren’t for you!!
It makes no sense - at least to me - to have a fridge and/or oven/microwave oven that isn't at waist height or above for easy accessibility because a) these items are used daily i.e. often and therefore ease of access is important b) the accessible height mitigates accidental liquid/food spillage. My impression is that the selling point is how much glass/viewing area is available which I think is just marketing hype when it comes to a boat one intends to live on for any reasonable period of time.
Aft galley in 2012 'forward thinking'?😆 My 2006 Ferretti has an aft galley (and opening window to the cockpit). This was only Fairline and other UK builders catching up with the Italians not 'forward thinking'
See how much better wood looks vertical instead of the ugly horizontal wood of today, horizontal wood just looks wrong in so many ways it make rooms look small and short
Awful Crew cabin is a horror Walking through galley to enter, like its the back door. Windows in salon are ugly with that big white swoop. Outside those big rectangles for windows near the water dont match the swoop of the boat. They look so odd. Kitchen has no storage at all. I see why they didnt sell.
Absolutely love this guys honest reviews… everything is discussed good and bad…

I will definitely be purchasing my boat from this business.
Cracking machine this is. I’d just have Sea Tag in to change the seat and update a few things inc a wrap…
Ah thanks Zak 🙏
Stunning boat, I’d have this in a minute. Entertaining tour as usual James, thanks.
Thank you you’re the only videos I now watch because you don’t try to sugarcoat and BS your way through obvious flaws, I would ask one favor for those of us in the colonies could you add the Imperial measurements ?
Yes I love imperial - thanks for your kind words 😎

Thanks PB - yes all good. It’s very busy at work at the moment but this boat is huge (and lovely ) inside. Very rare boats though 😊
Great Yacht, great tour.
Thanks
Cheers

Very nice boat. I love forward masters, as you hear more from your ground tackle when anchoring ⚓️ Thanks for the tour.
I DO find you amusing, thanks for the content.
Great video and what a lovely boat
Question please:
what is the fuel tanks capacity?
how much does is burn doing 20knts ?
Thanks in advance
keep them coming
Cheers
Oh I would need to work it out - similar the the targa 50 I did
Another informative tour of the Fairline squadron 50 flybridge James, for the cost of this second hand model it's relatively cheap for a 3+1 cabin cruiser. It's a well looked after family boat James.

Thanks Andrew. Yes aft galley is the norm now 😊
The boat looks like a 40 footer from far away, but as you get closer, it looks giant. Great looking boat, reguardless.
She is lovely 🥰
Excellent show as always James, regarding the review what can i say, the best i can say is that it was very hilarious, in the second cabin you mention head room from a sitting position 😂🤣😂, the third cabin we saw the washing machine, the side decks and the front of the boat only you know 😂🤣😂
Oh I forgot the bow 😂
Do you have any line drawings with measurements for this boat?
No sorry
Sorry was that hatch 'your idea' or 'your fault' 🤣
Both 😂
Do you have to have a crew cabin on these boats? I cant imagine anyone sleeping down there and do you have to have crew?
Crew is optional . Most boats have crew at 70 plus 👌
Great video beautiful boat love the big look compare to older 2004 squadron
Lots of space
Dude, your reviews are excellent, British humor very good, socks are ok, and when something is shitty or useless you point it… now that I like, very rare on your competitors (we can understand why…).
GET THE FENDERS IN !!
Ah thanks Paulo! I think you all need to know what’s good and bad with all these boats - and let’s have some fun explaining it 😎
Nice boat as always... Quick question though... How much natural light & ventilation does the wee crew cabin have ? Tucked away under the seats, it looks terribly gloomy down there
Yes it’s pretty gloomy
Your Videos are absolutely exquisite. And i see you have learned a lot probably from Mr Aqua Holic keep up the good work let me know if u have a sea ray sundancer out there.
Thanks Brian - we have some new Sea Rays coming soon 😀

Yes that’s true! Btw the gold looks better in real life - it looks a little strange on camera 🎥
Can you do a separate review on the Ted Baker socks, as that is more in my price bracket? Used, obviously.
😂😂
Nice video and lovely boat. However just for the record boats and ships have charts and not maps 🤣 Also as you put it and I quote the back of the boat is called the stern 🤣🤣🤣
😂
Was the boat available with a VIP cabin?
Yes it’s at the bow 👍🏻
Can't wait till you start showing us new Fairline,s large and small
Yes I plan to film the new Squadron 68 soon along with the other models 😉
There is exactly 1 video on you tube on the new gen Targa 50!!!!!

@@ramonrodriguez6692 - I will do one don’t worry

Thanks Mike. It needs to pass the floss test !
Always amazed by the term “ crew cabin” Harry Potter had more room under the stairs!
😂

Yes you might be right
Great Boat, always loved a fairline, alas I am a prestige owner!! Love the comment about consumption, I always say, if your asking, boats probably aren’t for you!!
It’s true 😂
Nice boat
Considering you made a 100k loss back in 2012 on this boat, at least you get a chance to recoup some of that selling it again :)
Yes - every little helps as they say 😎
My mother says your bonkers
But she loves you 💜
Kindest wishes to you and all
You should meet my old man 😂
You wouldn't have the front door to your home open directly into the kitchen would you? That's how I feel about aft galleys.
Yes but your home is not a boat 😆
I love it !!! Can you get me one ........
Come on, how much was it new??? £700k 🤔🤔
It makes no sense - at least to me - to have a fridge and/or oven/microwave oven that isn't at waist height or above for easy accessibility because a) these items are used daily i.e. often and therefore ease of access is important b) the accessible height mitigates accidental liquid/food spillage. Thanks Evo. Most customers just weekend on these boats so the boat priorities are designed this way. 😊
Aft galley in 2012 'forward thinking'?😆 My 2006 Ferretti has an aft galley (and opening window to the cockpit). This was only Fairline and other UK builders catching up with the Italians not 'forward thinking'
Thanks Mick. I did not know that the Ferretti had that in 06. Is it about 50’ too? As I know some bigger boats offered it but not about 50’.
@@Boatscouk Nope mine is the 630 model but I believe the 510 and 560 models launched at a similar time had aft galleys. Great channel btw. I enjoy it👍
See how much better wood looks vertical instead of the ugly horizontal wood of today, horizontal wood just looks wrong in so many ways it make rooms look small and short
900, 000 dollars, 10 years old, it better be nice.
Very nice Indie and just sold 🍻
Most engines only go to 10 but these ones go to 11
😂
Mashaallah
It’s hideous! Has the aerodynamics of a house brick!
Bit harsh - the public want space and this boat delivers that 👌
@@Boatscouk you sure you got on the back or is that the front!
Oy, get the fenders in. Make it a tee shirt…
Not the worst idea 💡 😎🥳
Those helm seats come from the 1960s
Yes but easy fix 😉
That crew cabin 😭.
⚰️
I’ll tell you why? Because the colour outside is awful !! You did well JB flogging it to stevie wonder 👍😂
That boats lounge is just awful
I can change the carpet 🤩
One reason it is looking so terrible from the side
Awful
Crew cabin is a horror

Bit harsh JH. These boats are hot property now. Quality British engineering, good space and excellent sea keeping. Not many boats do all that 😊
Looks a tad outdated
10 year old boat now - a few new soft furnishings would transform her.
one ugly boat
Nicer in person
You not doing boats(dot)co(dot)uk merch yet like other youtubers do? A boats gillet? Hat? Cup? Life jackets? Thank me later... £££
I'd have a cap or a body warmer!!😁
Ha ha - this is my favourite gilet - super warm on cold days like this filming day 👌
