It is hinted in RDR2 that John and Abigail was suppose to have a daughter, after the Epilogue, inside Beecher's Hope you can see Abigail knitting some baby clothes and there's actually a conversation about it too.

One thing about Rockstar Games is that they always throw in a lot of (a) hilariously lowbrow details where most people wouldn't even notice them and (b) merciless satire, and sometimes both in the same instance. @@John-996 To be fair, Rockstar's trademark humor would be really out of place in games like the Manhunt games, which are built upon a foundation of psychological horror. Less so in Red Dead, though Red Dead's deeper story does necessitate that the humor be handled a lot more conservatively than, say, GTA or Bully. Then again, GTA IV managed to be able to use that humor liberally regardless of having an exceptionally deep and meaningful story, so perhaps that's not a hard rule.

I just think the writers forgot about her since there’s plenty of inconsistencies between the two games. Like how Bill’s name was Marion in RDR2 despite the newspaper from RDR1 saying that it was William Williamson. Or how Dutch perishing in a fire during a bungled robbery in 1906 was never once addressed within RDR2. There’s also other things like a certain character being labeled as a "creep" by Abigail in RDR1, with that trait being seemingly absent in the prequel.
@@jinxthatsme2317 1) The daughter is addressed in RDR 2. I just left the link in my comment above. 2) The article doesn't state that the Dutch robbery from 1096 actually happened. And even if it happened, why would it be brought up in RDR 2? RDR 2's epilogue is set in 1907 and the years before that John wasn't even in the country, so it's not like he would know much about Dutch's whereabouts during his time in the Yukon. 3) How would the Blackwater newspaper know that Bill's actual name is Marion? The same article even states that "rumors say he might have been part of Dutch's gang" which clearly tells you how little the general public new about the gang members' identities. 4) Considering Abigail slept with a lot of the gang members when she was a prostitute, it's safe to assume that she meant that our treacherous pal Javi was a weirdo in the sheets.
