SkyPad 3.0 XL Review - Is glass really BEST for aim?

- Опубліковано 24 лип 2024
- I finally got around to trying out the SkyPad 3.0 XL and was surprised at just how fast (and how different) it was to the 2.0 version.
I think the pad has real potential to make a great player, even better... but for the average player, I do wonder if the pad will do more harm than good with such high precision required!

Gary.... I absolutely love your reviews they are so good and getting better and better. Half the time I feel like I'm in a comedy bar. Your Amazing. Will Smith slap comment almost made me spit out my coffee no joke. Keep it up and man you are are going to be one of the top reviewers ever on UA-cam.
Thank you for being such a positive supporter! Likewise it's been so amazing to see how much growth your business has had all from that first video to get the ball actually rolling!
So proud to have played a part in it! When you're a big time CEO, remember the channel! 🤣
I experienced a sense of jubilation when I saw that you have posted a new video. This video brought me a huge insight on the Skypad 3.0. An insight that I would never be able to accumulate with my own individual thoughts. You have truly outdone yourself with this video. Your comments are always an emotional rollercoaster fellow councilman.... May the odds forever be in your favour!

I'm spearheading the defence alliance against the weeb forces! Who's with me!
underrated channel. keep it up
Thank you! Comments like this are great motivation and I appreciate it!
3:49 Great reccommendation, I hadn't even considered that, although on a pad that is always clean I believe a bigger surface area would likely be better and you should get less wear and even when there is where your friction if I remember my physics correction should default to the highest friction on the surface as friction is not determined by area but the surface.
4:30 Love this analogy.
5:42 lol
Glad you found the review helpful and entertaining! Back on the video grind starting next week following a long vacation and move to new house/studio! Hope you'll be back to check them out!
ANOTHER BANGER VIDEO
Thank you!
There's already some awesome content out there on the SkyPad so tried to make the video a bit different and entertaining! Glad you enjoyed it!
Well put.
Thank you! Appreciate you checking it out!
I liked that you mentioned if one was able to invest time into this pad there could be some incredible feats to be had. But, I wonder if that time couldn't be better spent on another pad. It's crazy to me that you mentioned that you got better scores on the Cerapad but not this one (in what I imagine was the same testing time). Even if it's a fluke, the potential is there for one of these pads and not the other. I was waiting for you to compare the Cerapad to this. Since, every reviewer I've seen so far picks the Cerapad over both of the Skypads. Most of the mice reviewers that I watch seem to be American based. So, I'm glad that along with the tasteful and descriptive explanations of your experiences with the products there is a bit of flavour in these reviews.
I appreciate you taking the time to give the feedback and yeah I try to make my videos something a bit different and complimentary to the other great voices already available and not just add to an echo chamber.
Wanted to keep this review limited to the product in question but with regards to comparison, I am more accurate and prefer ceramic surfaces to play on because they're a little slower with more kinetic friction, which helps me personally find my shots more consistently.
I appreciate whilst both pads had the same time period of testing, the cerapad being that little bit slower made it more immediately accessible and natural for me. But I also appreciate that some of the highest skill aimers are using the most frictionless gear available to achieve that, so figure that some of it could be skill gap on my part.
The CeraPad most closely feels like the SkyPad 2.0 which is why I mentioned I'd personally prefer the 3.0 dimensions with the 2.0 surface. But as with all things, it's hugely subjective based on opinion too.
Hope these responses help a little in adding some colour to your questions and observations!
I'm super interested in either this or the cerapad, but being in the UK, availability is a big factor, and I can get a skypad 3.0 off Amazon with next day shipping.
CeraPad 'should' have EU shipping on Amazon in the coming weeks/months so shipping will be less of a factor for us UK folks.
In terms of the difference, SkyPad 3.0 is a smoother and faster glide than the CeraPad, which has a lot more stopping power and kinetic friction for a hard surface. Ultimately will come down to if you want a mouse surface that is super fast and low resistance for all movement or one that will slow down larger swipes more.
man that hsk looks sooo good
HSK+ single best mouse I've ever used... Hoping G-Wolves release it soon
Thanks for letting us know about the annoying dust particles and hair issue. Does it also happen with Cerapad ?
Ceramic doesn't have the same issue with scratching/catching on dust and hair oddly enough, I think it's an unfortunate side effect of glass and its natural properties
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews Then its worth to try for me. Just wondering if the coating lasts for a good while.
Ceramic is pretty hard wearing, even in constant use, cerakote is typically used as a spray on layer to protect motorcycle parts or firearms from damage, so I'm confident it'll hold up fine against mice 🤣
God I love you Gary
Hello, do you have any suggestion on mousepad, im looking for a mousepad that under 40 buck, i live in vn so i can only buy mousepads from mainstream brands like logitech, coolermaster,... other mousepads are pretty much out of reach unless you know anyone who sell aqua control plus or skypad,...
Hi, I can certainly try to help and give you some options! What mousepads do you like at the moment? Do you prefer speed or control, do you like a hard or soft surface, does thickness matter? Thanks!
Hey i have a question
I have pretty sweaty hands do you think it will be a problem with this pad?
How does this mousepad compare to the cerapad? I have a cerapad and I’m curious to try this out, but want to know if I’ll have a different experience with it. Cheers!
SkyPad 3.0 is smoother and faster than the CeraPad with much less stopping power, CeraPad feels closer to the SkyPad 2.0 speed, but with a smoother glide than the 2.0.
I managed to get his with the travel case for 30. Which was either a pricing mistake or because the travel case version didn't have many reviews. AT first I even thought it had to be just the travel case because the skypad 3.0 was 50 during black friday (lot of reviews) and the travel case version was 30, with only 4 reviews. Same xl size etc. With an added travel case and still somehow much cheaper. The price is 101 btw, which is the same as the one without a travel case. So I'm guessing they are selling it for al little cheaper to get a bunch of reviews on amazon.
Fantastic review! Would you say the Cerapad is your main?
I use a CeraPad primarily as my hardpad yes, it has more control/texture than the skypad which helps me find my shots easier if I'm honest
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews Whats your main when using a clothpad?
Main clothpad is typically IKEA or Vaxee PA black, I like slow pads
Great reviews for us ageing 30 somethings
Aging mid 30s need quality peripheral content too! We need to chat soon mate! Tons of news! X
Difference between glasspad and fast cloth pad but with superglides?
Superglides feel floaty to me, whilst they have no static friction there also is a general lack of micro control (at least until they're worn in).
Glass pad is a consistent low friction experience and will perform the same regardless of the mouse you use on it, whilst glass skates will interact differently on different cloth pads from experience ranging from super fast to quite sticky and muddy feeling.
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews thanks for the detailed answer! Cheers
It's what I'm here for! Content and channel exists to be a positive voice and bring some laughs and info to the community!
noice
Indeed!
Yo g305 or xtrfy m42?
Two entirely different mice tbh, both work really well for fingertip but the M42 has a bit more flexibility for claw grip too due to the shape.
At the moment M42 isn't wireless yet, but Xtrfy are about to drop the wireless version so no real difference there.
Lastly g305 also likely to be a lot cheaper than whatever the M42 wireless releases at so might be a factor in your decision.
ceramic pad supremacy
Sadge but agree
I got the skypad, loved it, but wouldn't recommend for the price. You can get almost 2 artisan pads for the same price... It's durability saving money doesn't really save money if you factor in mouse feet.
Yeah it's a bit of a niche product, and now with the new CeraPad and CeraPad KIN there is some legitimate comeptition
How does it compare to the cerapad?
CeraPad has the same low static friction but much more stopping power and a slower glide. The SkyPad 3.0 is super smooth and static/kinetic friction are both really low.
CeraPad is a better choice if you want a controlled hardpad, SkyPad 3.0 wins in terms of absolute speed and glide
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews how about the CeraPad vs Skuypad 2.0 for someone like me who likes the more stopping power( i have xl 2.0 skypad). thanks
@@ronniemillsap Very similar but the CeraPad was more manageable for me with better stopping power and less of a rough glide.
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews tyty
Appreciated!
I think ill stick to my glass cutting board.
Joseph Joseph board like a rockstar
Way to fast for me but dope video!!
I'm here to make entertaining content and not to sell products so I'm happy I delivered for you! 😬
I shouldve ordered the yuki pad biggest mistake ever

@@GoodEnoughTechReviews As long as I have my Yuki pad and judgement day has come. They can take it, I’ll trade it for my waifu pad
I got my yume dream pad all is well in the world
damn ive been clicking some fake heads this whole time
You never know when your reality is going to be shattered! 😬
i think the logo is really cool, have to disagree.
I'm mostly memeing but I'm glad that you like it!
Finally a reviewer who gives it to ppl straight-anime girls on mousepads (and other things) is cringe. Fuck all that staying considerate and respectfull bs. If you have no self respect I won't respect you either.
Maidens on your mousepad = no maidens in your bedroom 😬🤫
More abysmal content plz. 🤮
Starting up again with two videos a week next week (moved into a new house and studio along with taking some irl vacation)
