    [My personal Skypad experience]: The first impression of Skypad 3.0 is that it is really smooth, like moving your mouse on a infinite layer of oil. Because it is too smooth, it amplifies all your aiming flaws and aiming strengths, every single mechanic would express on this supreme mouse pad.

    Great long-term review. Especially the warnings about shaky hands in tense situations and how easy the back scratches.
    I might just try glass skates first.

      if you are willing to not only kill your pad quicker but have a low durability on the skates and clean the pad constantly.

      I'm gonna be honest tensing up on a cloth pad also makes your aim bad though, it's just not as easy to notice that you were missing your shots due to tensing up. On a cloth pad you don't see on-screen feedback to you being tense, it simply makes it harder to aim.

    You should try Obsidian Pros and Corepadz for the Sky Pad, they're slower than tiger ice but I think they strike the perfect balance

    10:00 I've used a skypad for over a year as well and I disagree with this. Changing your sens is not a crutch. It's a way to learn mouse control faster. Aiming is not muscle memory, if it was, just changing the pad would ruin all of that anyway since your muscles now have to do way less work to move the mouse the same distance. By initially lowering your sens by 10-20% you can start to re learn mouse control way faster, you get used to having less stopping power and your mouse kind of always gliding around. How you get used to it might be different but this is how I did it if anyone's interested:
    - First lowered sens quite a bit so the mouse feels controllable, played like that for a while
    - Bought a very lightweight fingertip mouse because I thought it would pair well with this (it does)
    - Started slowly raising my sens, for example in overwatch I used to play 800dpi 4, would go to 4.5, then 5, then 6, 7, and finally 8.5, which felt like it demanded a lot of control from my fingers and wrist. I would stick with one sens for around a month ish, not super consistent, just until it felt like I got super used to it
    - Now I'm experimenting with drastically lowering my sens, trying 800dpi 5. I've noticed a massive benefit from this, since I basically forced myself to play with increasingly precise fingertip movements, my micro adjustments are really accurate. Mostly changed to lower sens so I could work on using my arm more, in the past I found it really hard to have accurate fingertip adjustments while using mostly arm since my fingers would tense up, so now trying to force myself to learn connecting them better
    Also just some general glass pad tips for anyone considering this:
    - You will suck at the start. A lot. It feels bad. That's ok, push through it until switching to your normal pad feels unplayable. After that it gets easier
    - Use a sleeve. You may not think you sweat enough for it to matter, I didn't either, but you do, trust me on this and save yourself months of suffering with shit aim. I would recommend a sleeve with a thumb hole since for me my wrist having more friction on the pad was the worst part
    - Any time your skates start to feel like shit, change them. PTFE skates on glass go in 3 phases, at the start they feel insanely slippery, they wear in in a few hours of use, after that they last a few weeks to a few months, then they get scratchy and never recover. I would recommend dot skates since they are way, way cheaper and faster as well
    - Don't use glass or sapphire skates on glass, they will fuck your pad up permanently

      @aro7975 11 місяців тому

      You shouldnt used bold statements like "you will suck at first" etc. Understand that people will have different experiences, and not the same as yours. I got a Skypad and immediately got better. The easy cleaning and consistency of the pad makes muscle memory kick in and remain. Aiming is a combination of learning, reacting ,muscle memory and others. I wouldn't rule muscle memory out completely.

    What would be your recommendation if you are looking for a hard mouse pad with just slightly more friction then the Skypad?

    • @Derized_
      @Derized_ 11 місяців тому

      if you want glass, the superglide glass pad has slightly more friction but is close to the same. or the razer atlas has a bit more friction even than the superglide pad, but in terms of quality the skypad and superglide are better afaik.

    • @thestxrm

      this will last. you only have to replace the skates in the future. it depends how often you need to change them. the skates wear is not that worse how people think it is. i would go for a pulsar instead because of the flex on the skypad.

  • @MauChaza
    @MauChaza Рік тому +1

    First concern should be the waste of money that u need to do with mouse feets, because this pad eat the feets really quick, I have it and my superglight with default skates (3 months of use) feels like everytime I'm tracking, everything feels scratchy, buy If I do the same on my "normal" pad (esports tiger eba) I don't feel that. So as soon as ur feets are being used for like 2 months or so, u'll need to buy new ones.

    • @rainbats
      @rainbats Рік тому

      cloth you have to replace every couple years at least, you never have to replace a glass pad, the skates every few months arent that expensive depending on what cloth pad you would be needing to replace.

    • @MauChaza
      @MauChaza Рік тому

      @@rainbats Well, "aren't that expensive", I live in Argentina, so everything is expensive, just to let u know is easier to get an skypad here than it is to get a set o mouse skates (u have to wait at least 15 days-30 days for them to come to the country)

      After replacing your skates does your pad feel smooth and brand new? I’m asking because I had the same problem and was wondering if it was an issue with the pad or the skates and I got glass skates and a new pad to see if I like it more then the sky pad(also got new pdft skates) to see how the sky pad feels with new skates
