Hector has that great defense too so tbh I think he has a chance of going all the way. Magic units obviously rough but still, lad would definitely put up a fight.
I get that way of thinking, I just feel it's way too unfair on the other characters. It's not like the lords are gonna do bad in this even without their prfs. Maybe later on I'll do a special episode where I give all the lords their prfs and let them compete in the gauntlet in one big video :)
@@BadAtFireEmblem that makes sense. Because I could definitely see a “where do I draw the line?” argument. Because is a myrmidon really a myrmidon without a killing edge? What spear or axe units wouldn't realistically have a javelin or handaxe? Etc. But, sometimes, it's fair, I think. One of your stats is con and a gerick only using an iron sword would be wasting that huge stat.
Since Rapier is his prf and a beginning game weapon I think it's fair to let him use it instead of steel sword to even the odds. Also, giving bosses dropable elixirs to ensure he can fully heal between fights will give us a better sample of what Roy can do in a vacuum vs losing a winnable matchup due to low health. Great series, love these!

It probably won't change things but if you want, you could add a 0th enemy, like a level 1 Cleric or something, so that the unit being challenged starts the proper gauntlet at level 20. If you include it in the same room as the thief then the thief would even gain the first-strike advantage every future fight has when you open the door

I think I'd prefer it if the character could heal fully between matches, just to find out how good they are rather than potentially losing to an otherwise easy fight because they were already weakened.
I second this idea. For that, you would need to give every character attempting the gauntlet one or more elixirs. Or, ideally, you would edit the elixir so that it has 99 uses, wich I assume is doable in the FEbuilder.
Okay so in comparison to an average Roy the Roy in this video had: 1 less HP, 3 more Skill, 1 more Speed, 2 more Defense and 1 more Resistance. So all in all this was a fairly blessed Roy
I think the inherant problem of these gauntlets is the sole fact that sword-locked units are at the biggest disadvantage. Even with guys like Deke/HHM Raven/Gerik who have solid all-around stats, are going to be walled by the armor knight, and worse yet, the wyvern rider at the end. It might be disingenuous to do this but maybe having somebody drop a Reaver weapon so the weapon triangle doesn't just win every time and Lance River should be comparable to the steel sword
Theoretically you’re not locked to GBA characters, as some characters from games like FE9 have similar stats, and FE5 even has hard caps of 20 like every unpromoted class in GBA
Instead of giving an infinite durability Iron weapon to the player character at the start, why not give them an infinite durability steel weapon to begin with? That way, there doesn't need to be a steel weapon drop. It's also a more average and realistic weapon for the lord, since it is still a low cost high durability weapon.

I'm not sure what solution I'm going to settle on tbh. Turning off music in game and adding after is probably the best option, I agree
@@BadAtFireEmblem a fast version would be to just have a music track play in a separate window and have it play on repeat during recording. It would mean just one song plays instead of alternating. But for how fast phases go it may be an alright idea.
It would also mean you could do character themes rather than just map music.
Also, sorry for the comment spam. I think of more things to say when I get a reply
@@velvetbutterfly that's a pretty good suggestion.
Don't worry about it Velvet, the whole point of this channel is to get people talking with each other about fire emblem and having fun :)
We like Ike, I'd like to see Ike ported and do the gauntlet
Ike would be a fun one, I'll definitely do that further down the line :)
Knoll! Knoll! Knoll!
Ephraim is my favorite fire emblem character so id love to see how he does
I'll definitely do him at some point, just wanna space the lords out a bit. But I think he'll do amazing
I'd love to see a rematch with promoted units, he's still going to lose but I'd be funny.
Since everyone is going to ask for lords... I want to see how level 20 Wallace does.
I personally would've set iron weapons to infinite durability, not that it matters too much
Very interested in how this goes
Cheers, it should hopefully be a fun series 😊
Subbed, always gonna support new fire emblem creators. Keep it up!
I see now why Sword Lords start with a Rapier.
Also, what were the "hard mode bonuses" for the enemies?
Also, now I wanna see how far Eliwood gets
Yeah they really struggle without effective prf weapons!
I just put hard mode bonuses to 2, so they're effectively level 22 instead of 20, just for a bit of spice.
I feel like eliwood would perform reall similar to Roy, but it'd be interesting to see who is better
Yeah for sure, further down the line I'll definitely import non GBA characters :)
Why don't you do the promoted units against the promoted classes you ranked in your most recent video
Im still not 100% decided on how I want to run prepromoted units, I'll work it out at some point
I would love to see eph
Do Dorothy next
Oh geez 😅
I think Hector has the best chance here, but I'm not sure if he could get pass the mages.
My boi hector does struggle against mages. I think Ephraim has the best chance of clearing the whole gauntlet
@@BadAtFireEmblem I'm not sure how well would Ephraim do with a normal Iron lance against the plethora of axe users. But yeah that's a good point.
@@briancaro196 yeah he'll burn through some vulnery uses for sure, but he does have amazing stats so he might manage
@@BadAtFireEmblem as far as i remember hector just one shots most mages that aren't druids
@@windhelmguard5295 I think when they're level 20 they're too bulky for a one shot, I think it'll be two hits
It's always those high defense boys ruining solo runs
Erk clears uberspear child
Do Heath! My favorite character!
i would like to see swordmaster in the play. Pls do it bro :(
Instead of giving an infinite durability Iron weapon to the player character at the start, why not give them an infinite durability steel weapon to begin with? That way, there doesn't need to be a steel weapon drop.
It's also a more average and realistic weapon for the lord, since it is still a low cost high durability weapon.
Now do it all again but give them all the strongest non-unique weapons available🔫
Super Trainee Amelia (or Ross or Ewan.)
I'll definitely do trainees at some point, probably as a trio :)
i know it's not a gameboy game, but i wanna see marth in shadow dragon.
Further down the line I can port him into the game :)
Gonna be real with you. If we don’t run Gwendolyn through this gauntlet, are we even trying?
We're a Wendy fan are we? 😅 That's a tough sell lol
@@BadAtFireEmblem oh no, I think she’s horrendous, I just really wanna see the underdog compete in the gauntlet lol
@@FireEmbros i think it'd be a short video! 🤣
I think he'll beat 9 of the 16 classes. once he starts getting to the lance classes, he's not going to make it far at all
Pretty close guess!
My prediction is that Seth takes the championship.
I'm definitely up for taking prepromotes and downleveling the lv20 on par with the others for the gauntlet. I think at that point his stats would be a little low though :(
@@BadAtFireEmblem Ah, that's true, I didn't think about that.
@@jacobthompson4444 we'll try him at some point and see how he does :P
Serra but the video is 30 seconds long
Can Roy Beat A Class in fire emblem more like it
Oof, too real 😂
Hmm... 8?
Not too far off :)
I think Hector and Ephraim both clear this.
I think they've got a good chance 🤞
I think he'll die to the knight.
Hector
Gotta do his dad eliwood
I'll definitely be doing all the GBA lords at some point, I just want to space them out a bit :)
SETH
Could be interesting to unpromote him and let him run the gauntlet as a lv20 cavalier :)
