  • In this series I try playing the new expansion for Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Beneath the Stolen Lands! The expansion adds a rogue-like mode, which is randomly generated each time, where you can complete an entire campaign in 8-10 hours instead of the usual time a cRPG campaign like Kingmaker's can normally take. I'm still deciding whether or not to make this one series, since it's run-based, or whether to make each run its own series. I guess we'll find out!
This game was produced by Owlcat Games, and the original Pathfinder game system was created by Paizo. I am not paid by either company to create this content or endorse their products.

The corridors connecting each room should be wider, multiple large size creatures in party gets really annoying later on more so if you cast legendary proportion. I resort to casting haste and force run into the room in my runs.

My staple strategy has been enlarged dwarf shapeshift druid, enlarged paladin in front line with grease or cloud spell. Reduced mage and ranger in back. It looks hilarious and has worked until I've run into these Autumn Golems which are incredibly annoying. I either have to send them into a rift spell and wait an hour for them to be chewed up or hope my front-line wins the kaiju crit battle.
    Any suggestions against these guys?

For Autumn Golems you need high damage and adamantine weapons since magic doesn't really work that well. Very tough enemies for that reason.
I wonder if new items sometimes take a new run to appear. But I know that killing elites does spawn new items.

WTF, I'm at the ~30th floor, have beaten Fallen Priestess and I have no new items! OMG my game is bugged >_>
Thanks for showing this. I have so much money to spend on nothing!

Glad to see that the floora are becoming at least a bit more challenging. Haha don't want to see you party wipe but it's funny how you just tried out this party but yet your steam rolling XD. I guess this is what it means to understand the mechanics behind Pathfinder. Also as far as the hate that comes with min maxing, I don't get it. Play how you want. If you want to bring the most outta your characters, why is that a issue to some? I don't get it lol.

It works like this on challenging as well, where the floors aren't too hard... until they are, then you get wrecked.
In a tabletop setting I think min maxers have a bad reputation because some people don't see the game as a way to interact with others. But in a video game, that isn't as much of an issue.

The issue is in a traditional game and party all of the other players become only support players or are just watching the minmaxer be the hero of every fight. Although i wouldnt say the problem is the minmaxer but the balancing in the game
