thank you very much for watching, this is possible with the new custom items mode on mario kart 8 deluxe, allowing for blue shells only. blue shells dont show on the map on this new mode. you can outrun them only on 200cc with good driving, a fast combo and 10 coins.

In the game mechanics it is programmed that when you hold the blue shell in the hand you can't get hit by one.
Also when you use a mushroom in the moment when the blue shell comes down (some say when you see the underside of one then use the mushroom), then you can avoid the damage

something im curious about: could you outrun the blue shells in such a way that a friend could steal the blue shells from you by taking all the shortcuts and fastest routes while you take the slowest

@@KingRingsting basically, get a friend who can also go fast enough to outrun blue shells, have them pass you, and then since you would no longer be in first I wonder what would happen

Tried Rock Rock Mountain, it's possible to survive Lap 1 BUT the start of Lap 2 seems to a problem. The issue is that you're trying to find a angle to get to the cave but also getting distance from the shells, using those pipes at the start of the track is useful but those shells tend to cut corners.
