Great review. I just purchased mine on Saturday, 06/17/23. As of this post, I've had it for just over 30 hours. In fact, I discovered your review just by Googling "2023 Ford Explorer XLT" reviews. I traded a muscle car for the Explorer. The Charger R/T was fun to drive, but honestly, I had outgrown the poor fuel economy and high insurance. Of course I knew what I was getting when I purchased it. I traded speed and horsepower for more room and better fuel economy. Again, great review on the XLT. I'm still learning the bells and whistles that came with mine. Oh and yes, I was actually surprised by the huge sunroof when I first sat in it.😃👍
We bought this exact same car in July, even the same color 😊. This is our first Ford ever after owning 2 Chevys and 1 Toyota. I hope this car makes good memories for us. We have it for exactly one month now and driving experience has been great so far. Wish us good luck 😊
Thanks! During the test drive I was traveling through parts of West Concord and Sudbury which is pretty much 30 mins outside of Boston. Many of those towns have kept the old New England charm for sure.
@@BostonAutoBlog thank you for the info ! This makes me regret not going to concord in 2017 on a cross country trip.I stopped at Manchester and was grossed out by the druggies so I returned home to concord, California.

You are being so honest about the Explorer especially this new generation. Its a great city/ long trips fuel efficient SUV
I own my 2020 and I can write that this is the very best review of the gen. Well done sir! I love this vehicle.
Best review I've seen on this car!
Thanks Marc!
I have a 2024 in the same color and 202A package. It has plenty of power and is very roomy. The seats are comfortable, too.
This explorer doesn’t have a off button for autostop start. Does it mean that you can buy these without that option?
Yes you can. Just got one.
My son just purchase one used 5800 miles on it without the moonroof, it does say 4WD on the hatch, where is the transfer case controls Hi, low, 4x4?
Nice review car boy
I loved all Ford products and I buy this 1 day.
Question...Is the 2022 Ford Explorer XLT still available as new? Where would someone find unsold models? Thanks
Use autotempest that may help
If i may ask
Are you short or is it very high?
2.3 liter so better than the edge st?? In fuel
Hand calculated around 23mpg city for sure.
I get 26.4 on highway in mine.
All this needs is being a mild hybrid to run the AC whilst stopped in traffic waiting for the light to change.
I’m purchasing mine 7-1-23 love the features. Great video thanks
Those Explorers and especially in that spec scream US government to me 😂
Nothing like a white explorer to make me slow down a bit
Yes but which is why repair parts are always available on these. Very reliable when needing repairs.
