  • Yes, the Cooler Master NR200P V2 can do a top 280 but let's compare 240 vertical GPU builds. Can the dual exhausting OG beat the V2?

    Quick correction on the graph at 9:20, I incorrectly swapped the data labels for the v1 and v2. The v2 (60.0/67.3 cpu/gpu) should be on top and v1 (57.1/67.8) under it.

    Good stuff! The V2 is such a disappointment and I appreciate how you didn't hype it up like some people did (Gearseekers). What made the V1 special is the versatility, and the V2 lacks that. Deepcools CH160 is the better choice for sure.

      The best part about the CH160 is the price. It's SO affordable. I just wish it was not as wide. 172mm of cooler clearance is more than some mid and full towers. 160 would have been fine. Great case regardless

      @hardware_freak_on_a_leash 15 днів тому

      I agree. The CH160 is miles ahead of the V2 but I am disappointed with cable management of the side IO ports. All things considered the NR200 will remain the best all round mainstream SFF case. It's one of those pieces of hardware that will have its place in the hall of fame.

    Using the V1 with additional exhaust-bottoms and intake tops on the radiator. Thanks for this fantastic idea. Works great in my OC system.

    V2 stands for two steps backwards , it's a shame. CM needs to come up with a true successor to the legendary NR200 !

    Awesome stuff. Just put the 280mm pure loop 2 fx in my nr200p. Loving it!

    Years later I still have my launch black V1 and feel little to no reason to change it. It's spacious enough for massive GPUs, CPU heatsinks and lots of fans.

    great video, I wanted to change my case with a mini itx and your video helps me a lot.
    I have a question, I have the same AIO as in your video but in 240, I saw on other videos that there is still space under the graphics card once the radiator is installed, do you think that? Is it possible to put 4 fans in push pull?

  • @RXR25
    @RXR25 15 днів тому +1

    If I am reding this correctly, at 9:36 you have the labels of the two cases swapped. The top most bars should be the v2 and the one below it should be the v1 (since thats the one with the bottom exhaust rad). Also that would correlate with what you are saying. Otherwise great video.
    For me the OG NR200P is the better configuration. You can do air, you can do liquid, and its got plenty of space for a small form factor case. Not having USB C up front is a non-issue, same with not being able to mount a top rad. And let's be honest, most gamers do not have a 4-slot extra long AIB 4090. The extra space is nice, but plenty of cards can fit into the chassis. If you really need to get a bigger card in there, get something else like that Corsair One case.

    So much room in the bottom on the V1 with this configuration. You can put thicker rads for better CPU cooling

    If only the cooler head was smaller or you could disconnect the tubes cause it would be awesome to run the tubing and put the pump block behind the front panel and run the tubes back through the two holes on the top of the panel saving lots of space

    Isn't it bad to have the radiator below the pump?

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  15 днів тому +2

      Depends on the type of LCS. Here the pump is external to the cpu block, therefore it’s not the highest point. Plus you can easily refill the unit if air bubbles are in the system.

  • @FrodeBergetonNilsen
    @FrodeBergetonNilsen 15 днів тому

    This is the orientation of the AIO that GN called out as harmful to the pump. You are not using an ordinary AIO, but the air would accumulate withing the block, that was the GN point.

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  15 днів тому +3

      There’s two things with the Pure Loop AIOs that make them work well in this situation. One is the in-line pump that is not in the block, so longevity concerns are not applicable. Two, theoretically bubbles can collect in the block if it’s at the top, which can have a noise impact, but the loop is user serviceable and comes with a bottle of coolant you could use to keep it topped off.

    • @FrodeBergetonNilsen
      @FrodeBergetonNilsen 15 днів тому

      @@MachinesMore Great. But if you did not point this out in the video, you probably should pin a comment, for those not in the loop. If this work as you claim, it is a great way of showing what that sort of AIO actually can be used for.

      @@MachinesMore somehow i managed to break second pure loop 2 aio whit this pump placement, i don't now exactly why this happend, but i have an idea that this kinks are risky for the flow. pure loop, in my case, do not work with nr200p's psu bracket. i am devastated rn(

    I dont get why people are complaining about versatility and how the v2 is a disappointment. It adds usb c to the original and allowing all 4090s to fit the case. What other mini itx case fits 4090 strix,tufs,aorus masters and all the huge 4090s

    • @deviouslaw
      @deviouslaw 15 днів тому +6

      I don't see why fitting a huge 4090 is even that attractive of a feature for sff builds when you could just choose a GPU that's more reasonably sized.

    • @ICmikeyP
      @ICmikeyP 15 днів тому +6

      Adding USB-C adds versatility? lol. That's all the V2 needed to add but instead they eliminated most of the options and configurations the V1 was capable of. What's hard to understand? Also tons of 4090 models fit just fine in the V1, so certain models that can only fit in the V2 is not much of an argument.

    • @richardpierre7946
      @richardpierre7946 15 днів тому +1

      The average person isn't running a 4090 in most builds, yes we see all these creators with these high end expensive parts but that's not the standard so the ability to fit big 4090s is not a pro for most people.

    • @adpt_music
      @adpt_music 15 днів тому +2

      Because the v2 removed most of the versatility the v1 had. What most ppl wanted was a few more mm added to the top and to the depth to accommodate top rads and mATX boards. Instead what we got was forced AIO + vertical GPU layout.
