I hope this car is a huge success for Nissan & the workers at Sunderland, they really need it to be.

Old one looked nicer outside inside looks more modern
The CVT is the old Juke was a disgrace. Widespread reports of very premature failure. There was a 2011 model in work, only about 35,000 miles on it. The transmission was acting up. The oil pan was took off it to reveal many metal shavings. Replacement transmission needed
I dont get it. On specs the engine is powerfull enough. 20kg of torque at 2000rpms? 117ps
0-100 at 10.5 sec? Sounds more than enough.
The 1liter in Hyundai Kona and the 1.2 littre of the Toyota CHR are much slower and underpowered.
But its too expensive. 24k for a mid trim is stupid for a 1littre three cylinder. How much will the hybrid version cost then? 30k?
I had a Focus with a 1.0 100PS engine and sure it was 12 sec 0-60 but it loved being chucked up hills, great fun plenty of oomph.
He had it in Eco mode 100%
Confused about something, you say the quality is right up there then towards the end you say the T-Roc is better in terms of quality. The T-Roc has rubbish low rent plastics all over the cabin so is the Juke rubbish or good???????
T-Cross mate. Both that and the Arona have a generally higher quality feel overall than this - more “premium” I suppose. Just my initial thoughts. That said the cabin in this is nicer than it probably comes across on video.

T-roc looks and feels like shit compared to a juke. Tested both this week. Engine in Juke is not as bad as you describe it. You had it in Eco mode or it was not break in..
For me it's quite simple: any new car in the UK that is not track-based, but has a crashing ride should be banned outright.
Mark, love your reviews, but I think you're too harsh with the old Juke. It wasn't bad at all, I drove it for a certain period and I found it pretty enjoyable and funky. So the new one must be amazing. Apart from the engine...

The best and most under appreciated aspect of the previous generation Juke was what is wasn’t: a corporate, bland designs churned out by other manufactures. The Juke was an obvious sales hit, in spite of all the slagging it has received. A well designed concept with strong appeal will have purchasers wipe away any concerns over perceived issues. I have to admit when I first saw the Juke, I never liked it and thought it wouldn’t sell. Clearly it did sell. Over the years I understood the value of standing off from a corporate look. Either you completely fail with designs that step outside of the norm, or you get a hit. When I sat in an older Juke, I appreciated the gist of what the designers were trying to do, and I liked it. I’m slightly worried that, like many strong designs, it has been given too much “refinement”. Still immensely enjoy your reviews, though I got the feeling that you hoping it had a bit more “VAG”ness...

Flying journos out to Spain for car launches on perfect roads reminds me a little bit of the used car dealer I visited once who'd quickly jet-washed the vehicle I was interested in... both sound like they're trying to take your attention away from something. Even so, I did buy that car (it was a minor scuff and the price was good), and the new Juke is a lot better than the old one even if it'll end up crashing over bumps on our notoriously shite roads, so I can't complain too much on either front.
Before I watch this review - I need you to like it. Please don't have slagged it off. We need it to be a success for the region, at the very least!

Once again the Opel/Vauxhall Crossland X was forgotten when the comparison are made. Instead appears the Mokka... when in reality the Crossland X is more close the Juke than the Mokka.
To be fair I try hard to forget all the Vauxhalls. 😁👊🏻

It's fair! However the Crossland X is not that bad a car! Ok ... Opel / Vauxhall they are not the most exciting cars, but they do their job, they are getting visually more appealing and the build quality is acceptable. Not so far from, for exemple, Seat!
Can it be parked properly? Nobody in a first generation model can seem to get it between the lines or keep it off the footpath
Looks alright think the facelift Tivoli looks better though

I've heard multiple complaints at this point! Rest of it looks really promising. I think i'll wait for the electric or hybrid version that I HOPE comes

It’s not a car you’re going to throw in to a corner, it’s not a car you’re necessarily going to get a lot of fun from driving, it’s not a car....
Near the stearing wheel was a blank where the key would normally be, is this a keyless entry model?

Arona has a hand break, this one has electric parking break.
Arona doesn't have emergency break for cyclists, this one has.
This has bigger boot space than Arona.
This is quieter than Arona.
Softer plastics than Arona.
Better seats than Arona.
Better connectivity than Arona, for ex: the mobile app. You pay extra for the full link in Arona...

No AWD at the moment. Might come with the NISMO or hybrid ones...
Definitely gone backwards on engine power, where I live our previous/current Juke has a 1.6lt turbo and AWD. But the new one is tiny and pathetic!

as much as i find interesting information in this review. i hate the the fact that keep hating the previous one. sure they both called juke. but too irrelevant to compare.

Big improvement on the old juke, Couldn't believe they actually released a car that looked so ridiculous let alone anyone would buy one!.
As regards the underpowered engine in the new one, I wonder if a remap would improve the performance?
Ill come back to this review when you're bezzing past Kingston Park back home - I've never liked the Juke. Living here means there are loads of them buzzing around the factory and I dont like any variation of them. Sorrynotsorry Nissan!

Look i can understand people having an opinion on this car,including you.Over one and a half million sold,of the old model,yet you call it rubbish.I thought also,till i drove a rented one on holiday.Loved the little bugger and the reason was because it had character,it stood out,you drive way higher up and the front froggy face made it easier for you to drive it and get distances right.The only moaning i had about it was boot space.The new one is better looking and more practical and it will sell like hotcakes.I had the same gripe,years ago about the way reviewers had a go at the VW Beetle.Better off getting a Golf,they said.Noooooo.How many women did you see driving them with the flower in the front panel and men with the turbo one,kinda getting a Porsche feel.Tell you what though they also sold.Be very careful next time you call certain cars rubbish.One and a half million loved the old Juke.Dont believe they are all stupid.

I hated the Nissan Puke visually but must admit I really like the styling inside and out of this. Not forgetting Nissan still delivers a far more reliable, cheaper to own and dependable car than most of its rivals even though since pairing up with Renault their reliability has dropped a bit. I'm not keen on 3 pot turbo's they seem to have poor long term reliability generally and they are extracting a lot of power here from such a small engine but the car is still underpowered it seems so I'm not expecting that engine option to be the best to say the least. So unsure how this car will fair for long term reliability I suspect the later models with larger engines will fair better.

This is WAY Worse Than the first Juke!! (A 3 cylinder engine WTF????) Wow messed up BADLY, The only thing people liked about the first Jukes was the power, and tune ability!!! This Car does NOT look any Better in anyway accept from the front!!! And that is it.. My 2011 Juke SL has a 1.6L 4 cylinder Turbo and will smoke this thing.. Nissan Ruined the Main thing people liked about the Juke's!! That they could Through a Down Pipe and an exhaust and tune them from 160 HP stock to 200/250 HP without spending a lot of money to do it.. Wow!! They Really blew it with the Juke. I really thought they would have made it faster then the V1's n V2's spec engine's.. People may have not liked the look of the older ones as much, But People loved the power and Low end Torque.. Nissan Good Luck Trying to Find an American who want's a LMFAO 1.0L 3 Cylinder!!!???? No one Here wants a motor cycle engine in there car!!! As soon as someone here's 3 cylinder, It will be No thank's No matter how many different color's you can have.. (Now it's the Joke!!!) I hope they are coming out with something better soon to make up for this Huge mistake.. If Nissan doesn't produce a Nismo, RS, or a Sport package with a bigger motor and turbo that hits over 200 AWHP Stock they are doing the Juke a Disservice, making it worse! They should Have just kept on calling it the Kick's.... For Nissan to discontinue the Juke then come out with a new 2020 They should have came back Hard made them on (The Level of At least a WRX Subaru, power wise, They are disrespecting it otherwise.. There are a lot of guy's who have UA-cam channel's, And with there own tune shop's, and Build aftermarket parts and tune these cars up 350 400 Horse power and that's with a bigger turbo mind you, and other's are running 225 WHP on the stock turbo's, but they have custom exhaust, Down Pipe's and then they get them tuned.. Mainly The stick's cause the CVT's don't do well over 200 WHP.. Finally this is for Nissan, (You can Add more space and better info center, and First off Previous Juke Owner's didn't by the car because of space, we bought them cause they were Quick Little Front and AWD car's , and Now you Have taken away the One thing Most Juke Owner's will say they loved or about the car and that was the amazing Torque or pick up it had..) If you would have came out with a 200/225 AWHP Solve the CVT Issue's (Or don't go with Jako!!) OR Better came out with a 6/7 speed AWD Juke you would have an early Juke owner's wanting to trade in like me..
What a lemon. Bye bye Nissan.
