- The 5 Deadliest Warships from the Russian Navy - The Russian Federation inherited a substantial naval force from its Soviet predecessor, particularly from the decades following the Cuban Missile Crisis that saw a spurt in Soviet naval investment. But large swathes of these vessels fell into disrepair over the 1990’s from a lack of maintenance and resources.
Several of Russia’s hottest current conflict zones, including the Baltic region and more recently the Azov Sea, are naval in nature. The Kremlin has therefore become increasingly focused on modernizing its navy with cost-effective, export-driven innovation on the one hand and iterative adaptation of present technologies on the other.
The result are flagships and first-class vessels that, while not without their technical challenges, can possess significant naval threat capabilities. Here are five of the most dangerous russian warship.

One of these ships had sunk already at Ukraine war at Black Sea.
Moskva it has been reported. It was according to Kiev, hit by two Neptune missiles and caught fire before it sank. The Kremlin version is that it suffered uncontained fire in the ammunition depot and it sank under bad weather while being towed.

And fighter jets! They’re aircraft are beautiful as well. Their tanks and armored fighting vehicles… not so much. Well, the T-14 Armata and BMPT Terminator both look badass but their older T-72, T-80 & T-90 tanks are all quite unattractive. As well as their BMP-1, 2, 3, Kurganets-25, & their Tigr-M.

And im pretty much surprised there is no mentioning of Project 22350 which in my opinion is on par with 1164 cruiser in regards of firepower and after compilation of Zircon trials will surpass Slava class...
Btw there are 20385 project corvette which is modernized 20380 with stronger weaponry which should have been mentioned instead of his elder brother (steregushy)

@Vladimir Putin I think it wont be wise packing all the firepower in one ship if you define naval power by the power of these few ships since we know that Russia has a not so big of a navy. If this sinks, it goes along sinking with the potential of a navy winning battles. I'm not sure but I'm more fine with a spreading out of weapons doctrine 🙂

1:59. When i went out to sea fishing from Port Klang one time a decade ago on my uncle's boat, we pass by that ship as she sailed into the harbor. My God the sight was really impressive. And those Anti-Carrier missile silos are really something to be feared.
Im not sure weather it can sink a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier but im very confident that if it gets into a shootout, the Carrier sailors will not be coming back home happy.
i'm pretty sure that such class of ships got nuke warheads on their rocket systems, so it can sunk any targets or maybe even a group of targets

Technically, Russia doesn't have aircraft carriers. They are classified as aircraft support heavy cruiser
Kirov is usually made for sinking carriers and now Russia has a carrier sinking torpedo (Poseidon) it can even sunk a fleet, now. America is focused on building more carriers and Russia is building more Poseidon's in the same time making American carriers obsolete

To be a great fighter you have to fight . To be a deadly ship you had to win a war or battle against an enemy . When has any of the 5 ships sunk another , or caused any death . ( self inflicted dies not count )
That applies to any nation since WW2. None battled an all out skirmish with similarry armed nations. Bombing goat shepperds wielding AK47 is not really a test of skill.

In Russian vision the navy's job is to harass and delay the invasion force, and inflict as much damage as possible before the troops reach the shore. Also my point exactly, you think bombing iraq was a sufficient test of skill? Defeating a 2 year old at chess does not make you chessmaster right? If it could have done it and be certain of victory, US would already have invaded Russia, or at least destroy all major cities.

The S-400 is a joke! Putin sent several S-400 SAM systems to Syria and Isreal has been using the F-35 in combat missions over Syria for the last three years now and they haven't lost a single F-35 Jet. The United States fired 59 Tomahawk Missiles at a Syrian Air-base that had the S-400 SAM system... they couldn't hit a single Tomahawk.

First of all their S400 batteries are only there to protect tartarus and latakia naval bases not the whole syria itself you idiot. They can track IAF f35 no problem but will not engage them unless until they become a threat to the naval bases itself.

Israel has been using the F-35 in combat missions over Syria and Iran (Iran has the S-300) for the last three years and they haven't lost a single fighter. And the United States launched 59 Tomahawk missiles and the S-400 couldn't target and hit any of them. All 59 missiles hit the Syrian Airfield.
