I love how they're showing the Australian cast for the promo video
Right!? I saw it in the opening week, it was such a stunning show. Love reliving it thru this trailer hahaha!
I guess that’s the tricky part about doing promotion if a tour doesn’t start for a year and 5 months. Lack of US tour footage. ❤
I wish this show was back on broadway
A tour is even better! So many people will get to see it! And cheaper than Broadway!
when a show goes on tour, sometimes if they do well then they go to broadway. i think they’re doing that because they took the show rights of mti
My family has lived in the NY tristate area our whole lives, but my sister moved to Boston recently. When we heard this was gonna be a US tour, I told my mom, road trip to sis’s house, ASASP! 😂
Same
I’m so excited for this! “Beauty and the Beast” was the very first musical I ever saw, and I am elated that it is finally going on tour in North America again!
Nothing will ever compare to the original Broadway production.
It doesn't have to be like the Broadway production but idk why some of it looks like a community theatre.
Hopefully this comes to Boston and they bring back the others through a tour like Little Mermaid, Newsies, Tarzan and whatever else that closed that I wish I had the chance to see. Along with Lion king and Aladdin, I only saw Frozen so far.
Thank you for bringing back this beautiful musical, this iconic show will live on for a life time. I’m lucky enough to play most of these songs on piano, from my ipad & piano books. I know Howard Ashmen is just as excited, yet bias because of wanting the show to be stellar.
Sadly, Howard Ashman died before the film even came out. But I’m sure he would have been proud.
Oh this is perfection. My first middle school theater production was Beauty and the Beast, so this holds such a dear place in my heart. I can wait to see it!
I think this show is wonderful, fantastic actors, directors, staff, the lights and sets are wonderful and the costumes are stunning not to mention the voices and dancers! I can't wait!❤❤
have u seen a broadway show? This is broadway on a budget
@@arex9000 Have I ever talked about badget? I just said that the fantasy of the costumes, the colors and the style of the sets is wonderful! We don't do too much teaching 😁🤗
hmm good.
@@arex9000no it isn’t. This was funded by Disney and this only highlighted a slither of the ensemble numbers. It didn’t show the 15+ sets (including multiple houses, a full sizes winding staircase, the chandeliers, or at least 10 different backdrops) it also didn’t show any of the special effects, which included lots of technical stuff like harness, lighting, screen backdrops, on stage special + physical effects, or the high quality multilayer projection. Not to mention many of the original creatives and musicians from the original broadway show. Compared to the broadway I’ve seen were there is a singular set, limited amounts of costumes, and are all preformed in old theatres, some of which are over 100 years old and not built for performances of this calibre.
I saw this production in London back in June 2022 and I was completely blown away by the new production that gave new life to the familiar story. That was Disney Magic at its best. I'm happy to see that more parts of the world get to experience that.
Beauty and the Beast SHOULD be back on broadway ASAP
I hope the keep “home” and “if I can’t love her” in the show!!!
I so agree. But it says it’s based on the feature film.
Narrator: WOW!!!😍😍😍😍 So, this songs was legendary!!!!
And now, "Disney's Beauty and the Beast: The Musical Broadway" are BACK!!!!! And just in time for the 30th Anniversary celebrations of this musical production, and based on the 30th Anniversary celebrations of Disney's legendary animated masterpiece, "Beauty and the Beast" and the live-action remake film of the same name!!!
"Disney's Beauty and the Beast: The Musical: 30th Anniversary Production", Returning into North American tour in 2025 at Disney on Broadway!!!!
Really really hope I'll be able to come see the show - it's my favorite of all time and I've seen it once before, so I'd love to see it again!
So this is why MTI is removing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST from licensing shows. Makes sense now
My favorite musical of all time!!! I hope it lives on forever! 😭😭😭
This is exciting, I hope it comes to Detroit. "Beauty and the Beast" was the first movie I got to see in theaters, and it's still one of my favorite movies to this day 😊
Yes! Been meaning to see this for years but was too young when it ended.
Please come to Texas! ❤
AMAZING!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
How exciting!!
Can’t wait for this show to come to Chicago next year!!!
I hope this comes to Boston because I want to take my niece (who will be 7 in 2025, right now she is 5) to see this because this was the first musical I ever saw
It will be good if they have a tour to Thailand. I am a big FAN of Beauty and The Beast ❤
I love beauty and the beast it is my favorite movie of all time and I can’t wait to see it on stage
I’m really excited for the Beauty and the Beast musical my favorite song from the movie is Be Our Guest and Tale as Old as Time
I’m so excited definitely gonna go see it
How exciting ❤!
Music by Alan Menken
Lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice
Book by Linda Woolverton
I hope it's an AEA tour
I always compare every Broadway musical ending to this show. Soaring French Horns, a cast of 100 people all dolled up in drag, and the sopranos singing everything twelve octaves up. I swear to God if they mess this up I will riot in the streets with dishes and utensils.
I really hope they tour this by me this time, I would love to go see it❤
I really want to see this when it heads to Los Angeles!!!!
the yellow dress looks like a quinceanera dress/prom dress. Disney, it's not that hard
My thoughts exactly.
Better then Emma Watson
Emma Watson is awesomely character in beauty and the beast. I like her.
YESSSSS
The “Tale as Old as Time” is New Again.
I was just thinking the other day that I hoped it would go back on tour
Excited as I am that it’s coming back on tour, I wish it didn’t base so much of the costumes off the 2017 remake because these are ugly af and hardly resemble the characters.
Wish I could see this but I'm a disabled Aussie 😔 So even if it made it to Melbourne, Australia it'd be hard to get to bc its 4 hours away and trip requires so much stuff (and planning) to keep me well and sleeping good (can't do day trips, too exhausting).
0:56 wow she is stunning beautiful 😍
Now, it's no wonder that her name means beauty!
Little me would’ve been so happy to see belle with glasses. A great choice!
I think it's only when she reads that she wears them.
@@arex9000 I agree now, as a kid though I didn’t have anyone I looked up to as ‘pretty’ that wore glasses. My mum had to convince me they didn’t make me look less good. Not a big deal, but would’ve been cool to see them on someone I thought was beautiful.
I wish they can do rehearse about the song of maison de lunes because they don’t have it so can you do Maison de lunes please
I did this once and I was lefu
I eished this version would return to Germany... then we had in the past years a version, played by a Theatregroup from east europe. The Costumes looked bad and they where bad to understand, because the Actors are not used to sing in German.
Will the musical be on Disney+ too?
It might.
Belle looks more like Mirabel from Encanto. The costumes look so cheap.
she looks only that way with the glasses, for which, i dont know why she has them. I agree on the costumes. This looks like a community production with talented singers.
😂🎉 I'm hoping they'll come to St. John's Newfoundland!!! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ALL TIME MOVIE!!! I know every word!!
However, I did not like Emma Watson's version of Belle in the Human one. She was NOT a good fit for Belle's sweet Loving Character and her singing wasn't near as nice. She didn't do Belle any justice
I watched the production last night in Brisbane Australia. This production was…. somewhat a mix of thoughts and feelings. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. It felt very “theatre in a black box” and was watching tv/movie instead of a stage production.
The guy playing beast was a horrible actor or at least the direction of him was done badly.
Not ending Act 1 on Be our Guest was a such a confusing creative decision I’ll never understand. Continuing into another song and then interval just didn’t make sense and it took you out of the excitement of what just took place. Beasts song could have opened Act 2.
Speaking of be our guest, the song number goes for too long. It’s about 4 mins too long. And the camera shot from above the cast on the turntable should be cut. It’s tacky and looked weird and takes you out of the moment.
The video projections and video wall were used well to create the atmosphere, but some moments could have used a physical set instead.
The twisted swirls with candles were, while impressive at first are over used in many scenes. Oh we are in another part of the castle now because they moved to stage right now. It’s lazy staging.
By the end of the show you could tell the audience wasn’t that impressed either. A few trickles of standing ovations by those theatre Cheryl’s who love wine. A few cheers and whistle, but generally it was a polite applause of a meh show.
