I don't support whatever comes from this man buhari. They should focus on developing our country back home, and forget about diaspora investment funds. That's my opinion.

Hmm they are going to use diaspora fund to invest in Nigeria. Lol

Well I don't know. All I'm saying is that, if they can get this message, they should focus on important things back home and forget about diaspora investment funds, because at the end of the day, they will in one way or the other want to collect money from us(without accountability) in diaspora.

I understand being frustrated and feeling there are misplaced priorities with so many pressing concerns in Nigeria.

The country is financially stranded. They are looking for Diaspora money to squander. Diasporans beware of doing business with the Nigerian government. At a time, they were thinking of seizing the money in private dormant accounts. If you want to invest, do it on your own . Not when Nigerian government is involved. Beware.

      That's not true.
I am all for criticizing the government but investments like the DITFs are essentially government bonds denominated in foreign exchange. Basic Finance tells us that government bonds are amongst the safest investment instruments. Even though they may have lower ROI than other 'riskier' investments.
N.B. Big banks & foreign investment firms are currently invested in some of these funds.
Read about what Paul singer did to Argentina to 'see' how safe government bonds.
      Cheers.

Sis , how do you navigate your funds from U.S to Naija ? moving back and want to know more how to get to my finance while at home

Great question! I will answer this on a video but honestly you can transfer from a bank overseas directly to domiciliary account (Dollar account) here, or buy Cryptocurrency move money from That to Naira account or through money transfer company (you have to physically pick up the money at a bank). But let me ask around if others are doing something other than what I outlined above 👆

They're talking about diaspora investment funds and we have alot of Nigerians in United Arabs Emirates that are suffering because they can't get work permit Visa. Who are they trying to fool here? Abike Dabiri should do a better recommendation to that man(buhari), than to be looking for ways to get more funds from us.

Y'all are quick to attack and puncture every government policy before/without even understanding it or giving it a chance. If you live illegally in a country, you don't expect the government to jump at every complain people raise. If you don't believe in the commission, don't bother investing, let those who believe in it take their chances. We must stop this diabolical penchant of bashing anything Nigeria.

@@triedstoneSports Unfortunate. So you're proud of the way Nigeria has retrogressed in the past 6 years and counting with debts that even your grand children cannot pay when they come? In the name of change? Let's be objective and be honest. See how a Commission like NYSC has failed Nigerian graduates, they won't think of ways to make it more progressive by creating NYSC Investment funds to support outgoing Corp members for a startup that can grow Nigeria economy and create jobs, you're responding saying someone is bashing their ill-thoughts and shortsighted policies, where they will continue to steal money.
