D&D: Tyranny of Dragons - Episode 1 (Group 1)

Recap of Last Session:
Thesera, Grallow, Thorn and Kil’Kash decide to follow the tracks of the champion heading east. Outside Greenest, they come across a student of Leosin who was gravely injured. Grallow offers him a potion and the man tells them that Leosin is being held captive because of his knowledge regarding a dragon hatchery. They bid farewell and continue east.
The 4 take turns of being on watch while the others sleep until they come across a group of drunk and sleepy cultists and kobolds at night. Grallow casts a spell to put 3 of the cultists to sleep. Kilkash with the help of Thorn slay 2 of cultists then restrain the remaining with rope. Grallow casts charm on one of the kobolds and convinces them that they were travelling with fake cultists, that we are the real ones. Thesera distracts and makes jokes about Kil’Kash to the Kobolds while the rest of the party interrogate the cultists. One of the cultists was willing to give more info and pleaded for his life, he had a wife and kids but Grallow gave the call to Kil’Kash to take care of him.
The group parts with the kobolds and come across an encampment, Grallow and Kil’Kash go ahead and speak to the one in charge. The veteran motioned them in when Grallow said they were fellow cultists, Thesera and Thorn followed behind. But it was a trap! A fight sprung out as cultists and acolytes appeared to aid the veteran in a 4v9 battle. Was a difficult encounter, Thorn shut off twice and Thesera took a knee once, but the party survived thanks to Grallow’s fire spells and Kil’Kash being a beast.
The party continue on their way and encounter a friendly face, that knight guy who’s farm got destroyed (Sir Terberus something, I forgot okay?). He had no idea his farm got destroyed by cultists and knew nothing about the dragon attacks. The party was offered food and beverages during this long rest.
THIS SESSION:
The group of Thesera, Grallow, Thorn, and Kil'Kash venture and look around the festival after resting in tents provided by Sir Berus. They come across a gnome jester named Jinzic Bottoms who tells them a funny black dragonborn joke and to encourage the party to check out his tavern for riddles and drinks. The party walk to the merchant section and chat with Dahlia, she buys Kil'Kash's looted armour and stops Thorn from stealing a love potion several times too many. KK has a horrible bartering experience with Dahlia, the party leaves, Thorn tries to steal again and a guard smashes Thorn's hand. The group meet Fogrrob (cousin of Groomsch), and tells the group that they need to collect tokens (one per person) to enter a tournament and possibly win a boon from facing last year's champion. They meet Asami who says that they will give her token if she receives 3 secrets. The party goes back to Dahlia for her token, (need to show her a unique and valuable item), Thorn fails, but she is impressed with Grallow's ring. He casts charm person and tries to get a secret from her, by selling a crappy dagger claiming it shot lightening in return, we learn she was once a slave. They go to the tavern and participate in Jinzic's riddles and drinks, KK drinks himself under the table. Thorn answers the first riddle but doesn't know the rest, he still somehow out drinks Jinzic wins. Jinzic drunk as a skunk, tells the group of his secret love with one of the past champions of the tournament. Grallow and Thesera and participate in a talent show against Fogrrob. First round Fog sings, we do a dog show with mage hands. Second round, we do a math genius chicken with mage hands, but Fog gets the crowd going insane with his rendition of "drunk chickens".
Final round, Fog fails his dance his song thanks to Grallow's fate change. The crowd goes crazy for Grallow and Thesera's beer-bending. They win and get Fogrrob's token, and later learn of a secret from him related to Sir Berus (someone was found leading slaves during the night). They bring these secrets to Asami who gives them a token in exchange. The party decide to call it a night and head back to Sir Berus, but Thorn and KK decide to steal from Dahlia again. They fail and Thorn gets roundhouse kicked by Dahlia. We are no longer welcome in her store. They return to Sir Berus, Thesera confronts him about leading slaves into the camp at night but he denies it. Thorn throws Dahlia under the bus for that secret. Thorn grabs rations for Sir Berus and gets an extra token. We have 5 tokens total for the tournament ready for the next session!
