Excited to have gotten our hands on the little Sony ZV-1 nugget. The ZV-1 Packs a punch for sure and with only a few limitations this could the "perfect" camera for so many people. It's been a while since I've shot with a point and shoot, and wow it's so fun!

I know you mentioned the RX100 but can you recommend a camera for a photographer (my gf) that also has this kind of flip screen (because she likes to take selfies with her camera as well)? Maybe something with built in ND filters or something I can easily add ND filters to.
What about footage in low light
if you mount a rode video micro with a deadcat on the camera, will it be visible in the widest focal length?

Great review! thanks for sharing. Wish they could get some of that gopro like stabilization but still looks like a good camera for lower production vlogs.

Love it! Bought one for my channel.
I use it to do handheld interviews without a gimbal and I still get some decent results. Easy to bring anywhere. Really like this camera!

Does it always make that odd sound when the camera zooms in? I just ordered it from Amazon but that worries me since i do a lot of close ups mid video while I’m talking for the work i do. That was actually a reason why I had to make my G7X Mark ii my secondary rather than my primary camera.
@@juanpenajimenez7274 it actually doesn’t I’ve made a few videos and so far I haven’t had that issue.

As someone who does UA-cam videos mainly shot in my study, I actually grabbed this and sold a higher end camera, just because this thing gets the job done. Great little piece of gear from Sony 🤙🏼

That was a solid review. Thank you for your amazing work. I’ve been debating getting one, and while I like it lot, the sound of the manual zoom is super annoying! Very much cheapens the experience to me. I have an old Sony A65 which only records 30 min at a time, but I love the cinematic feel of the 35mm 24p setting. Does the ZV-1 have a similar setting?

Your videos are 😍 I have a Canon Rebel dslr. Old one. I’m looking to upgrade. since my Canon doesn’t have autofocus neither does it film in 4k. Do you think this is the next step for me?
How was this color graded? I have a Sony Zv1, and really like the way you guys color graded it.
did you every share your settings for the ZV-1. I am wading through all the Bible-length menus picking up tips from other channels but really trust you insight. Thanks for mentioning the PP you use. Now, I am a noob when it comes to color grading--what videos on your channel do you recommend I watch. Also the 1080 vs 4K explanation makes so much sense.
I bought mine last May ('21), but I haven't used it much. Do you have tutorials on basic settings when taking still pictures? Or tricks on doing cinematic films? :)

wondering if you can use the vlog handhold...and a wireless mic at the same time. i bought the vlog accessories and also bought the picomic and was hoping to use them both if possible.

Great video! I have always been interested in filmmaking but I have never gotten around to making one. I have done some research over the past few months trying to decide what camera to get. Would you recommend this to a beginner filmmaker? I know you can't change the lenses. I appreciate any recommendations that you could give me. I don't have a very large budget. Thanks in advance.

Loved your video! I considering buying this camera for my videos. I am currently using the Canon HRF800 camcorder, which gives me nice footage, but... this little ZV-1 looks like it might work better for hiking and outdoors adventures. What are your thoughts? Budget is a consideration for me, so I can't just buy something on a whim.

This is a fantastic review, very practical tips. Yea Image stabilization is not that important for vlogging and then you can just turn it on for that buttery smooth 1080 120. Beautiful scenery, what a place to hike. :)

Hi great video, I was wondering do think this camera is good for filming a movie or a short film?
Moment should make a 12mm attachment lens for the zv1.
Is this camera a step up from a go pro 8 with media mod ? Or should I try a different camera bc the ZV and GP 8 are redundant?
Using this for a studio desk setup. Is there an external battery or other battery solution you would recommend to keep from purchasing too many of those small batteries?
I find the zoom sound kind of annoying. And the mic jack is on the wrong side to work with my gimbal. I like the AF the most on this camera it looks like it is nice. I currently have the canon g7x mark iii and the AF is not that good. But everything else about it is pretty good.
Why no mention of the Sony ACCVC1 vlogger kit that came with the loaner camera?

Thanks for the video, how does it handle #overheating with 2hour plus shoots on an external battery ? This unlimited recording and F1.8 low light is a game changer
