I understand VPN, as I connect to VPN when I work remotely. While watching your video, I was wondering what the people were doing that was breaking copyright laws? My wife and I stream off UA-cam, Amazon, Netflix, etc. I assume that's all legal and cable companies have no problem with that? If a streamer is using some app that allows him/her to illegally download movies, then a good solution would be to NOT download copyrighted movies.
You are 100% correct. Legal content is always legal. This is regarding those that use 3rd party apps. Which can also be legal. But people make mistakes

I use express VPN because years ago I went through hell for getting caught using a "Black Box" and I was threatened with heavy fines and jail time. The fines that I had to pay could have paid for around 60 years of VPN services, but I was young and ignorant so I learned the hard way.

Did you change servers? Netflix and ExpressVPN work in conjunction. Use it every day. Learn the server changes. We have videos on it

Only if you have the vpn on your work computer AND they require to know your location. You can add the vpn to just the devices you want (firestick, phone etc) and won’t affect other devices

Well, first off, I want to say that I am a complete and total technotard! I understand what a VPN is and what it does, but I don't understand how I get it to work on all my devices. If I order it on my phone, how do I apply it to my firestick and laptop? It’s a great question. Just to use express vpn as an example. They have apps for all devices including your router. Not all vpns work on all devices. Once you download the app, you just log in. You can have up to 7 devices connected at the same time with express. I just put it on my router and covers everything (41 devices). I like to stream with ApolloTV. I feel that Cox is throttling my speeds, which is causing some buffering and all. Is that normal? I am paying for 500 mb download speed.

It depends on what router, what vpn and what you are using it for. I have mine on my router and my firestick. Only express works on a router and only certain routers accept apps. I also use it on firestick cause by changing locations I can get additional films, tv channels etc but changing locations.

I have Express VPN and I just did a speed test. Download speed 193. This is why I've had Express since I cut my cable 3 years ago.
So the VPN on my phone and computer doesn't protect the TV/fire stick,. I assume.

I've been thinking about VPN's for sometime now. Is there a way to put a VPN on my router and have all the devices that's connected to it protected or do I need to put the VPN on all the devices. I have 4 Fire-sticks in my house that's why I'm wondering. (Router is a Archer AX 1800 by Linksys).

I have a Fire TV it only has 4 gb of storage and the Amazon apps use a little over 3+. So I have no room to add other apps and it buffers often. My question, can I add a Firestick to the tv to get more available storage? Thanks for all your help.

USB drive should have worked if installed properly. I misunderstood your original question thought. You have a fire tv edition tv. That makes more sense. The new Fire tv editions have 12GB storage like our Toshiba. Adding a cube would give you ultimate storage vs just a firestick.

Monsterbox is another device (android box). Not a 3rd party app that you would install on a firestick. So not exactly sure your question.

Not all routers allow apps. It's not an express thing, but your router. You would have to reach out to them to see if that one allows apps. Mine does (rock space mesh)

We have a video on it. Check it out… keep in mind free ones have data limits and/or speed limits. Not good for streaming. It’s not profit so they don’t update servers. Most give you little free and then try and charge you. Vpns are cheap enough to just buy

Okay what happens when you turn on the vpn and it slows your speeds down

Based on what you described, yes. Roku and Firestick are two different platforms. If you would have purchase a fire tv edition, you would only use one remote. You have competing streaming devices (fire and roku). You will need to change the input back and forth and use different remotes.
