Brilliant vocals and instrumentation. One of the best live rock n roll albums of all time. The delta blues influence coupled with folk like Coltrane and Miles run through it like a seam of gold.
Ahhh...Breakfast of Champions! This is why I love to be the first man in the office. Turned up to a dime and screaming and no one to freakout hahaha. Gotta love it!
I saw this band live some years ago at a concert at a Community College just before they made this album. This music is classical for Southern Rock. After I saw them they went on to NYC to make this album. I was supposed to go to the concert but I couldn't make it. I saw all the original members. All but one member is still alive. If you like this music find Derick Trucks on youtube.
Excellence in music is spelled. The Almman Brothers!! Non better and will never be!! Loved then since 1970!! I was only 12 .
Feelin melancholy watching all the greats fade away.....I will follow them soon now....what a band must play in Heaven!

The jazz-blues fusion symphony
Yeah, you can dig it!!
A song so damn good AND "interesting" that it was the only cover song that Frank Zappa would play with his band. Now there's a tribute.
