A gem of a lesson Jace, thank you. Must be difficult coming up with new ideas all the time. Enjoy the rest of your time off. Really looking forward to seeing you on stage again, hopefully soon. The stage needs you 🙌
Hi Sean! Usually my best inspiration for lessons is my students! I explain something to somebody one on one then realise it might be worth sharing here on UA-cam. Yes I miss the stage so much- we are aiming for an April return at this point but nothing is locked in. Hope you’re well!
Hey man, I was listening to Kallidad's latest album yesterday and the song "Akasha" really stood out to me. I was wondering if you'd be up for doing a short lesson video on how to play the song? But no worries if you don't want to. Love the album, and your youtube lessons have given me a lot of inspiration. Peace out and have a great new year!
Still December 25th here..So, Merry Christmas and thanks for the Lesson, as always. I 100% "there is no such thing as too much practice"...Completely outside of playing guitar I've always followed the principle that there is no such thing as a "children's book"..I understand that a book designed to teach reading may be extremely basic but I am referring to actual literature which is considered or classified as juvenile; I have found that if one reads it-it is Literature period...and one can learn from or enjoy the material completely and without regard to whom the material was originally intended. This is my long winded way of saying; I get it and am on board to study and use this lesson the same as any other. Thank You and again Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings.
Is it pretty essential to have longer right hand fingernails to play this music? Love the music, hate long fingernails. Haha. Thanks for these lessons!
Yes it is. This guitar is not hollow. I usually teach lessons with a hollow Spanish guitar but mine snapped a string minutes before filming! Well spotted :)
Hi this is a Gibson Chet Atkins guitar. Quite a rare and unusual model. I usually play Admira guitars but broke a string right before filming this particular video so grabbed the Gibson instead :)
@@JasonJohnContos its a great looking guitar! I have a entry level Cordoba parlor and a really cheap Lucida full size but they seem to do the job though most of the time I play my arch top and electric. Really would like to get some simple classical tunes in and BTW love the uniqueness of your band's sound!
Does this guy ever shut up and play for more than 15 seconds? I stopped watching 2 of his videos because he won't play that guitar he's holding. Toooo funnnay
I’m here to teach you to play. Not to show you how I play. I hate when teachers play too much and show off. Oh well. If you can’t listen patiently for a few minutes you probably won’t end up much of a guitarist.
I'm jealous of that gorgeous forest, chirping birds and warmth. It's cold and snowy and dark where I'm at.
Where are you? I live in Sydney, Australia. I love it :)
You have stunning back yard..sound of nature all around you. So many good tips!
Merry Christmas to you. Thanks for the lesson. Im 45.
greetings from Arizona! Awesome laid back lesson, really like the stuff you upload
Being 7 with access to Jace from Kallidad, awesome!

Definitley not essential. I only have one fingernail (pinkie) that’s a little bit long.
Great 👍
Hi is that wood behind you at your home place in your yard?
He yes that is my yard in Sydney, Australia. I love it here!
I just subscribed.. I just got a guitar.. the high g string is broken.. I hope to become better
Love the videos always!!! That guitar is a bit quiet though!! Maybe it's just me?
Yes it is. This guitar is not hollow. I usually teach lessons with a hollow Spanish guitar but mine snapped a string minutes before filming! Well spotted :)
@@JasonJohnContos Yeah, but I still understood the lesson - thanks for sharing. As always! :)
Could you tell the name of the scale. Thanks

Have you got TAB for those licks ? We are not all 7 yr old geniuses ---something to learn --?
Yes there are tabs for all my lessons at my Patreon page www.Patreon.com/jasonjohncontos

@@JasonJohnContos teach without showing??? Otay...if you say so. I'll just go find teachers who understand learning.
stop talking and get on with it
