    Stan is very intelligent, however the purpose of creatine isn’t intramuscular water retention, that’s just a side effect. The purpose of creatine is to fully saturate your creatine monophosphate stores which is the primary energy supplier for the creatine phosphate pathway, which is our bodies energy production pathway for short bursts of intense exercise.

    • @IronWarrior4Ever
      @IronWarrior4Ever 5 років тому +2

      You can't have that without the water retention, by definition.

      The fact is that gear isn’t an end all be all solution. I have many friends using steroids that have never even benched 300 pounds or squat more than 315. Each discipline that you improve: sleep, training, food, and hormone optimization...will get you closer to achieving your goals and ultimately fulfilling your potential. Just optimizing hormones without having everything else dialed in will still leave you with mediocre results and make you look pathetic, even WITH using steroids. That’s the reality.

    • @JewStar613
      @JewStar613 5 років тому +1

      2 lbs of beef will give you 5g of creatine. Since I eat 1 lbs a day I supplement 3g creatine pre-workout with 2g salt, that's literally $0.03 so it's a no-brainer for me.

      Leo Harju well it is creatine.. you are suppose to drink a bunch of water to get any real results. I don't like soda and I drink coffee sometimes (coffee dehydrates you though and does restrict bloodflow, look at the studies). So because I only really drink real orange juice with pulp like 1 cup with breakfast, and I drink water, I drink about 3.5L of water a day, most of it is drinken during my workout. It doesn't disrupt me, I feel stronger and more energetic day to day when I drink a lots of water

    • @sfnlekal3342
      @sfnlekal3342 5 років тому +3

      Uh no, coffee does infact not dehydrate you, caffeine is indeed a mild diuretic, but the net balance of water in coffee means coffee will hydrate you. Also caffeine is a vasodilator when received by type A1 adenosine receptors, but a vasoconstrictor when received by type A2 adenosine receptors.

    Most people, who will not be professional bodybuilders/athletes, don't have the time/money/desire to consume mass quantities of food.
    Shakes are usually the better option in these instances - main meals of 'real food' with shakes during the day/before bed to top-up the protein count. That's where all of this stuff goes wrong. It's all geared to people giving everything to working out without taking into account family, careers or other hobbies. Just switches me off.

    • @brandon18054
      @brandon18054 5 років тому +4

      Bodybuilding is a selfish sport, first of all. If you're not training to be an elite lifter, then your goal should be to start utilizing as many as these takeaways as possible in your daily routine to maximize your success. There's a cost factor associated with everything in life, and this sport can be very expensive.

    • @sfnlekal3342
      @sfnlekal3342 5 років тому +1

      Whey does have more of some of the amino acids required for muscle protein synthesis, leucin for example, but it doesn't really matter if your bolus is big enough. Mps starts once a threshold of leucin is passed (2.5g) and then you already basically get the maximum mps. More leucin won't really be of any benefit. Whey vs beef in term of AAs would only matter if you were to have very small portions.

    I must be the unnorm. Cause my stomach is a tank. Nothing seems to bother me like that. Not that it won't change as I get older? Cause I'm sure it can. But shakes, greasy food, spicey food, it doesnt matter.

      This is the norm. The exception might be people like Brian Shaw and Haftor etc. who have to pound down thousand of calories a day. Unless you have diagnosed IBS or a similar pathology you don't need to eat a restrictive diet. This guy has no medical or dietary education.

    This is about the only aspect of the Vertical diet I disagree with. If you're getting over your RDA of all the nutrients beef is plentiful in and you don't have digestive issues from whey it has many advantages. Faster to prepare and consume, less fat, less expensive per gram of protein, more calcium, and aminos hit the blood stream quicker.

    Lost me at taking salt instead of creatine. Pretty uneducated.

    • @sfnlekal3342
      @sfnlekal3342 5 років тому +13

      It literally can't work for the human species. Creatine facilitates the recycling of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) by donating phosphate groups to adenosine diphosphate (ADP). Salt, as in sodium cloride (NaCl) can't phosporylate and can therefore not be a replacement for creatin. I'd love to know how this works for you. Maybe you should offer your body to a lab for some research because your claims are exeptional.

    • @althenimble
      @althenimble 5 років тому

      The amount of rareish beef most vertical-dieters eat probably provides them with sufficient creatine without supplementation. So supplementation wouldn’t lead to any noticeable effects (and perhaps additional salt might), hence the confusion

    • @DCJayhawk57
      @DCJayhawk57 5 років тому +1

      You have to eat a kilo of raw beef to get the amount of creatine contained in a teaspoon of monohydrate. It denatures with cooking. I seriously doubt they're eating enough beef to accomplish that. And creatine is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying that much beef to consume daily.
      Efferding is just selling his own version of a semi-scientific fad diet. I agree that a little extra sodium can benefit high performance athletes, but a lot of his claims aren't exactly backed up by more than bro science.

    • @althenimble
      @althenimble 5 років тому

      DCJayhawk57 I take it you haven’t watched Brian Shaw’s videos then? 1kg easy, admittedly not all of it rare. Not sure what temp creatine denatures at?

    • @IainK76
      @IainK76 5 років тому

      Alex Browne creatine needs an acute high enough dose to cause maximum creatine stores in the muscle. A high meat diet would cause someone to have elevated creatine stores. However not to the level supplementing does. Sodium chlorides does not effect metabolism as creatine.

  • @Yakushii

    • @ryanturner8577
      @ryanturner8577 5 років тому +4

      Yakushii literally take 10 seconds and google benefits of sodium in terms of body function. Appropriate Intake of sodium will outweigh the benefits of creatine by a mile and it's not even funny.

    • @sfnlekal3342
      @sfnlekal3342 5 років тому +7

      That implies salt and creatine exclude each other. No one is denying the use of Sodium, but Stan claims they have the same effect and that is false.

    • @davecom3
      @davecom3 5 років тому +2

      Ryan Turner no no no, sodium on its own is bad. It needs equal parts potassium, some calcium etc to actually do you some good. In short, drink mineral water or Powerade or any sports drink for hydration, don’t cover your food in salt.

    • @ryanturner8577
      @ryanturner8577 5 років тому +6

      David C Your diet covers all of that unless you're an idiot, which clearly you are. If you can sit here with a straight face and advocate drinking powerade over salting your food, you don't deserve the ability to comment on this topic lmao.

    • @davecom3
      @davecom3 5 років тому +2

      Ryan Turner let me emphasize it again because this misinformation will damage your health. Sodium on its own will do relatively little except increase your blood pressure. Powerade, lucozade , even mineral water or milk are better ways to get adequate sodium with the other minerals you need to take with it for better rehydration. You’re the one who thinks sodium is better than creatine when they both have different functions. And you’re the one who resorted to insults because your argument has no foundation. So what’s your reply going to be to this, more insults and “lmao”??

    Hey guys I like your show. But hey me and a friend of mine came up with a Steak Shake. No just listen... I know you maybe throwing up right now at the thought of it but it's TRUE!!! I been out of the habit of eating red meats for about 20 years. I hated it!!! But he and I was experimenting one day and we came up with Steak Shake. Of course the Steak is not whole,it's puree to say the least w/o all the seasoning that causes HPB!!! We have been working on this for 3months. We have managed to come up with 3flavors(Chocolate, Vanilla,& Butternut squash). Delicious!!!! We are currently working on a Patent. We have two scientist involved from (Texas A&M and Unive of Phoenix). Wish us luck.

    If you’re trying to heal your body it’s best to avoid all meats and focus on consuming an organic plant based diet with plenty of healthy fats. The reason you want to avoid even healthy organic meat during the healing process is because all meat is Acidic and produces an inflammatory process which can disrupt any healing processes. If you’re already optimally healthy then it would be fine to consume meat occasionally such as once a week (grass fed) because they are some benefits to consuming meat. I dont think any normal person should consume the amounts Stan talks about.

    Steak is king period. Everyday. Supplementation of superfoods though are very important for maximum biological , physical , and mental function. Cleanse the blood and body. Balance the hormones, take in plant based superfoods with all your essential nutrients and eat a lot of steak and eggs and jasmine white rice. Stan is correct on all his rants that i have listened to and he has the trophies and records to prove it. I think the supplements he is referring to is synthetic garbage supplements that the body cant use much or break down. I use all of stans diet info along with my ZIJA supplements that are moringa based all natural products and at 49 the combination of what i have learned from stan along with my ZIJA supplements work better than ever for an older man like myself to keep my body, mind , growth , recovery, performance and overall radiant health and its best. If you think that stan doesnt know what he is talking about then your the idiot. Check his history and trophy case little boys. I myself have enjoyed his talks and understand clearly everything he talks about.
