Can anyone tell me if the resin and/or activator is likely to trigger an allergic reaction? Gel triggers one with me, and lately, it seems like acrylic products are, too.
You are not alone; I have met a lot of manicurists, cosmetologists and instructors who have developed allergies to acrylics; state board even banned to smelly monomers for school use because they had toxic fumes.

Where can u get a silk wrap kit like that? And if u add on nail extensions, what kind of nail should u but to look like ur natural nail? I do a lot of paper work and I would like my nails to look good and stat strong with all the administrative work that I do
I have been using the asp activator, 5second brush on gel resin, silk wraps. After about a week they spiderweb crack and eventually cracks all over and comes off. Help please....
Monica Neal: I’ve always been successful, with gel polish over fibreglass nails. I like to do white (French) tips, fibreglass or silk over them, and a coat or two of transparent pink gel polish for a shine.
I'm old school and think this is so much better for the health of the nail than modern gel nails.

What is the difference from Fiberglass and Silk wrap? Cuz its seems like its the same thing just some call it either or? Im confused

omg im in nail school and you made this so simple ..yes u can put as much fabric as u want but the glue is what strengthens it...overall
i was wondering why we spray after the glue and not fabric as you would think

This is not a criticism. What is the point?
It was a state board procedure, and a lot of people did it before gels and acrylics. It was to repair cracked nails and strengthen the nails.
