It's so crazy....I remember working there with the health department in 2020 and the giant tent city. It was like being in Haiti. It's amazing what a horrible issue we have in the USA and people continue to send their churches overseas. I can't believe the amount of homeless I see everywhere.
If you come here with bitterness and contempt in your heart and you are one of those dolts who bought the made up idea that being poor is some kind of moral failing, just know that ANYONE can end up on the streets INCLUDING YOU, addicted and mentally ill. All it takes is the right string of bad luck, trauma and loss, and it can happen to you. Don't come in here and have diarrhea of the keyboard when you are no different than these people at the roots.
And most of the donations ain't really helping the clients of cass, and most of the politicians know exactly what is going on with cass and the cass donations

How can you not rent a room somewhere if you work full time at Amazon? It’s $17 an hour. If you don’t have a car and all you need is a roof over your head you can get a room in phoenix. Unless you’re on drugs. That’s where all that money is going from Amazon.
Why do you think people end up addicted to drugs? Do you ever think about the underlying causes? Empathy requires you see the whole context of a human being and it is a skill. I can almost guarantee you, that the vast majority of our suffering in modern life, can be traced back to capitalistic demands we are not psychologically able to meet anymore. The demand to do NOTHING but work, for starvation wages, when you never were given the monetary opportunity at a better life leads to unending despair and distress. No access to shelter, means no access to medical care because medical care is even more expensive. The working poor can't get benefits if they make too much, thus they are left on their own to try and deal with their own mental health issues. Drugs and alcohol are the quickest way to dull the pain. Take this from a person who has stepped foot in places like CAS, and worked as a Behavioral Health Technician for nearly a decade in Chandler and Gilbert. These people are not a monolith, they are unique individuals with their own individual struggles and they have all suffered unfairness untold. NO ONE IS IMMUNE from becoming just like them. Learn to practice empathy, it can be learned.
They need to just move their shop. Instead of complaining so much. Those homeless people are veterans and Americans. You do not care about the homeless, just wants them to not be seen! Instead of that couple complaining all the time, they should make tiny houses! And the shop ower should probably go to church...Me and my son also homeless and I actually live at the zone!
It's those businesses that pay a good portion of the taxes that filter back to your welfare (including those nonprofit food pantries). But sure - they should move. Hell - shut them all down right? Your ignorance is so very apparent. Kill the cash cow - because you need more milk? SMH...
There’s a reason you’re homeless and it’s likely due to poor decisions made by you. They don’t need to move their shop. They are contributing members of society, you aren’t. You move.
