I'm so glad I found this channel. Your reviews are easily some of the best on the platform. They're detailed, concise, and still easy to listen to. I honestly don't know what more someone could ask for in a reviewer. excellent video, as always.
I genuinely believe the Champ is unbeatable. It has so much going for it that at this point even Casio can’t bring out a new model to equal or surpass it.
I have to agree on your choice for champion. The 100D is a fantastic looking watch. I love the case and it's unbroken curvature design. My only zonk is the polished middle links and the mineral crystal. I can live with the polish but I am unintendely ruff on crystals. Nice comparison. Thanks
I love the EFV-100. I bought it almost as soon as they appeared on sale, although with a black leather strap and a red second hand - EFV-100L-1A, I have tried many straps over the years and now I wear them on a Milan bracelet. It was love at first sight) After that, a few years ago, I was presented with a white version of this watch EFV-100D-7A on a steel bracelet, which I love to wear in the summer. And.. today I bought again EFV-100L-1A🤣
It's such a shame they use this poor lume on these, as they could be a one watch show for a lot of folks. I have the 35mm white dial version of the champ and I love it but the lume is just... Meh. Although to be fair I can read it at 4 am, but with a bit of concentration. Otherwise it's a great watch for a great price (got mine from thr store at half price, paid about 50 dollars for it). I'm also thinking about opening it up and adding lume myself.
@@JustWatches1 I added lume to a Timex Mod44 which I bought when I knew nothing about watches. It is all black with grey printed markers and grey hands. No lume in stock form. So I bought a lume kit from amazon UK and added 4 layers to it (I didn't have the right tools to add lume so it's not crisp, I went over the markers lines) and it glows amazingly and lasts a lot. The kit contains the lume powder and a binder and you mix it together to create the lume paste.
True, however I don't care about lume much. For me the only downside of this watch is the crystal, but I have the full set of watch tools and can change it for a sapphire when I want. I don't like bracelets either, so that's another thing I don't care about. To me, the 100D is great on a Barton (Elite) silicone strap and also looks and wears nice on a french marine elastic strap. That's just my preference though. It's an interesting topic though, guess that's the next thing I can add to my watch modding/building skills. Do you have a before/after comparison?
@@JustWatches1I just found these videos and I am eager for the next showdown. I agree that most of the edifice line is either too big or too busy (or both).
Thanks! I have a 100D and it looks and wears really well with the Hirsh Toronto black leather strap (about £20) only thing I'd change is the bracelet that as you say would benefit from more micro adjustment and would look more premium in all satin.
What is your wrist size? Loved the 110 but unfortunately, the only available in the area are the 140 and 630 which is same size base on their description.
Hmm didn't know the old one (100D) had lume on the indicies...the fact the 140D doesn't bugged me when I found out. Also didn't know the old one was 20mm lugs. Although I like the brushed bracelet more, after seeing this I am leaning to picking up the 100D since that's 2 points to 1...not to mention it is cheaper/easier to get.
What a surprising outcome :D Just wondering, are the dials (with chapter rings) the exact same diameter and depth? They seem really close in dimensions. If yes, then you could probably swap the internals and have the old case with the new dial and hands :)
@@JustWatches1 The depth might be different, but I can't be sure just watching the video. The chapter ring of the new watch seems a little bit higher and has a different angle (maybe?). When I opened mine the chapter ring appeared to be glued on the dial, so maybe that won't work even though they seem very close.
The champ keeps on winning..... I got myself a dilemma, got the champ in both black And blue, but I cant choose which one to wear.... Also brushed out the bracelet, looks much better now, but another dilemma: blue dial with bracelete or black leather strap. Choices,choices...
Oh I misunderstood! I haven’t seen the edifice leather strap but it’s probably not great. I would get the bracelet and if you don’t like it find a leather or rubber strap you do!
If you can find a bracelet it should fit. The lug width is 20mm. Also if you are patient you can use a brillow pad and then really fine sand paper and brush out the high polish sections.

I agree. I really hope they make something equal or better, but it's going to be tough!

Totally agree, sapphire would be better, especially if you wear the watch often and bang it around!
@@JustWatches1could you pls help me with the inner dial measurements of both.I feel the 100d has bigger inner dial.Thx.😊

Got to collect them all! :)
Got the champ on wrist with a Bond nato. I keep coming back to this watch time after time even though I keep buying others. Always looks great
Same. I just wore the champ today actually!
Спасибо за сравнение этих моделей CASIO. Я тоже использую CASIO.
Добро пожаловать, я люблю часы Casio. Спасибо за просмотр. (Google Translate)
Love my 100. Got an olive green paneri strap with yellow stitching, lovely
Sounds like a great pairing - enjoy it!

Yes, better lume and a sapphire crystal and I think I would just quit the hobby lol. Have you ever added lume to a watch before!?

A new applicant has appeared Casio EFV-150D
It has been so long since they release something in a smaller size - I'll look into picking one up!!
@@JustWatches1I just found these videos and I am eager for the next showdown. I agree that most of the edifice line is either too big or too busy (or both).
Purchased a blue dial. Can't wait to get it in the mail.
Awesome, let me know what you think when it arrives!!

I didn't realize Hirsch made straps in that price range. Looks nice! Thanks for the tip :)
Brush it mate, will look much better....
Casio EFV-100D is really a gold for the buck. I’ve been using this watch for 3yrs already and still I don’t have any issues.
Yes, I have had mine for just about 4! Had to change the battery, but other than that it is working great!
Nice video as always. My watch keeps on winning !! :D
Thank you! It is going to be a hard one to beat!
I've been trying to get my hands on a white dial 110D. Of course Casio discontinued it
Silly of them! Hope you find one!
I know wtf they cancel this series of watches so fast....... I couldnt buy one either..
Hi, what do you think of the other dials of the 140? The blue dial looks absolutely stunning and its not as blend as the black one
I haven't seen them in person, but the blue and green both look like a lot of fun!
I ordered champion model today but leather strap version
Nice comparison
Love from India ❤
Glad it was helpful! Love from USA

You definitely can't go wrong with the 100D. I think eventually the 140D will be easier to get, but they are still really hard to find right now!
Just bought this, good too know i made a good choice👍👍. Nice too read too good comments also.
You can't go wrong with a Casio edifice!
Love the thunderdome style head to head!
Thanks, it is mostly silly, but it is a lot of fun!
Is the module 5507 a Miyota movement or Casio in-house movement?
I believe it is a Casio module, but I could be wrong!
I still like the EFV-100D better than the 140, the EFV-100D has a cleaner, more minimalist design, plus the hands are larger and more readable.
The EFV-100D is hard to beat. I keep checking the edifice website but they haven’t released anything worth challenging it with for a while :(
What a surprising outcome :D Just wondering, are the dials (with chapter rings) the exact same diameter and depth? They seem really close in dimensions. If yes, then you could probably swap the internals and have the old case with the new dial and hands :)
Hmmm, that would be a very interesting undertaking hah! I can measure them, but it is hard to say if it would fit as far as depth, dial feet, etc.

Plz compare Casio duro vs efv 140d…thank u n love from india.
I will consider :)
the video was very helpful. thank you 👏
It would be perfect if it had saphire glass and more than 2 fine-tuning points. (efv 100 D)

Hi mate i want to know about Edifice 140D Between leather and stainless strap Which is better ?
The bracelet is just okay. It’s a bit loose and light feeling but it has held up fine. A high quality leather strap might feel better.
@@JustWatches1 should i buy the leather version instead of steel one ?

Is it possible to swap the strap of the champion to a similar finish like the challenger?
If you can find a bracelet it should fit. The lug width is 20mm. Also if you are patient you can use a brillow pad and then really fine sand paper and brush out the high polish sections.
What exactly model is of your 100d? A1?
It is the EFV-100D-1AV
Is the size of both the watches same?
The EFV-100D is 40mm and the EFV-140D is 42mm
What about arns hairs with this bracelet 100D?
I find they don't pull arm hairs.
Totally would have guessed that I'd like the challenger better, but nope, champ is still better.
Yes, the champ is a hard one to beat!
What is the dial size??
I don't have the 140D anymore, but the dial on the 100D is 34mm!
The result of these comparisons is very predictable.
I know it is mostly for fun :)
Fun??? Serious business here...🤣🤣

Well done :)
