I got the blue version for 64,95 euros. This is my beater watch 2gether with my gshocks. It wears perfectly!! The secondhand hits the markers perfectly! It hit the swimming pools and water slides etc and it works perfectly. No scratches in the glass. I love it
I bought one a while back for $30, it is great for the money. The bracelet is not great but I haven't changed it is super comfortable and light and doesn't rattle. Screwdown crown, 100m WR, bang on second's hand, I guess you can say I'm a fan.
These are amazing value and surprisingly good quality. I have a blue dialed model it's great. The seconds hand even hits the marks! My only nit pick was the polished center links of bracelet, cheapened the overall look to my eyes. So I took a scotch brite pad and gave them a nice fine brush finish. Perfect!
Been wearing my black version all week and had forgotten how good looking it is .You're right about the bracelet and have mine on a black sailcloth strap .Love it !
Ive got the blue one and love it. The bracelet is where they clearly cut ALL the costs. Pro tip, though, the Vostok 20mm metal bracelet available from Meranom is a perfect fit. It fits perfect with the hollow endlinks that come with the edifice, polished center link and similar taper. This watch on a bracelet with solid stainless links elevates it to a whole other level. $39 watch plus $29 bracelet and you have an amazing watch for less than $80.
The pictures of the bracelet on the Mernom site are not flattering, as it doesn't look like it is of any better quality than the OEM bracelet. However, that is hard to tell from a picture. Can I ask if you have personally handled this bracelet and is it of better quality than the OEM version? Any idea how it may compare to the Strapcode?
Casio seem to well on top of QC in regards of second hand hitting the mark. The Duro and the MRV 200 are both excellent , better than some pricier quartz watches I have.
I've watched this video 3 times. Every time I view this I like this one more and more. If it came in green I'd get one for sure. Soo much value for the money. Great review.
The Casio Edifice EFR-S107D-1AVCR (made in Japan with sapphire glass) was just on sale on Amazon for $65. Currently waiting for it to be delivered...cant wait
Great review and fully agree with your conclusion. I have the white dial with orange seconds hand. Came on a horrible leather strap which I've swapped for a vintage tan and it looks very good and wears comfortably. It does look large though despite 40mm dia. There's a lot of white dial area which confounds the eye sometimes. But I'm happy. A very cheap and reliable homage to the Aqua Terra, made by the greatest watchmaker in history. Edit - the case looked at from the side is all sorts of 60s cool. The designers really knew what they're doing.
So damn hard to beat a bloody Casio! I love the blue dial but looking through my vast collection, blue is starting to rule!😈 Although is more than likely choose the white & put a brown leather strap on it. Nice vid Rob👍🏼😎
I picked up the blue one for $39.00 and it looks great and is very comfortable on wrist, plus you have the 100m WR, with the screw down crown. My only complaint, which is minor, at that price point a few more micro adjusts would have been nice. But otherwise, I would still highly recommend it, even if you can’t get it at the sale price.
Just got the black dial version super cheap on eBay and it came with two 20mm NATO straps plus the bracelet. I cleaned it up really good but need to polish the crystal to get some small scratches out. I put it back on the bracelet and I will say it is very comfortable although not a lot of adjustment. I had to remove 4 links but then it's almost too tight even on the outer micro adjustment. If I put 1 link back in, it's too loose even on the inner micro adjustment, that it can almost slide around my wrist. I'll probably end up putting it back on one of the NATO straps or maybe buy a black leather strap with yellow stitching to play off the dial colors. Always thought these were good looking watches and couldn't resist getting one. Now I have close to 70 watches.
I've had the black and the white one for eight months now. I switched the bracelet for a barton watch band leather 3 months in and they wear really nice with the leather on them.
Casio has some really nice Edifice models with all kinds of dials. I have a feeling the leather straps cost more than the watch. I personally like lightweight watches and a good reason I like plastic Gshocks so much because I hardly know it is there.
I’ve had one of these on my wishlist for a couple of weeks but found it hard to find out much consistent information on them. So much conflicting specs, maybe because there is a EFV110 and a EFV130, and they all look very similar, so I appreciate the hands on and confirmation. This made up my mind. Getting the white one!
