Thank you very much for the video, very informative. When doing the pads, was it necessary to open the brake fluid reservoir before spreading apart the caliper pistons? Did you have to bleed the brakes after? What about when removing/replacing the rotors? Was it necessary to open the reservoir/bleed brakes? Many thanks.

Good question! Yes I did open the reservoir and just set the lid on loosely. Not sure if that was necessary but I did it. No I did not bleed the brakes after, no need, the brake line was never cracked open. I replaced the rotors at the same time so yes I had the lid off the reservoir. Probably a good idea to remove the lid always when working on the brakes :) My wheel shimmy is still gone and everything is working great. Honestly one of the easiest brake jobs I have done, and I have done several different models of cars between the kids, wife, neighbors, etc... Go for it, you will be fine!

One thing I notice you doing wrong, went you push back the calipers cylinder with a flat driver directly, you are taking the chance of punching the caliper valve rubber with the flat head 🤯 next time try to use the old brake pad with a flat head to push the caliper cylinder in. Basically you put the flat head between the pad and the router.

The pin that hold the pad should go in and out with no problem if you press down the center clip that hold it down

Yeah, I was careful not to get off the edge of the caliper, but using the old pad is the best practice.

@@DFWAuto_Hack as I mentioned in the video, I did that earlier and had them turned.
