    Epic, the 360 Dive Roll and the Rail Btwist are moves I've wanted to learn for a long time now. I want to find where you live, fly out there, and high five you. Thank you so much, man!

    Awesome! I was doing these into the pool over the summer. The 360 part is really disorienting and often makes me flip over and land on my knees backwards. Very fun trick, though.

    this inspired me to do some (new ?) kind of double kong , when do the first kong fly like the 360 diveroll but instead of rolling do the second kong , it's so much fun ;D

    In my experience, it's much easier to rotate counter-clock wise if you roll over your left shoulder. It just makes it way easier to land in a roll, as your left shoulder is already moving downwards after the rotation.

    Another great video man :) helped a lot! Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to roll off of a high ledge? I've seen a lot of videos with this move and I've always wanted to try it but idk how.. Thanks:)

  • @Lozosan
    @Lozosan 8 років тому

    another useful hint I got pit of this by observing more than listening, when you're upside down, halfway into the Twist and your head is toward the sky, just turn your head at that point(or before when you get used to it) and it'll help you rotate a little faster and spot the ground

    What is the flip called when someone do a front flip to a back flip, or back flip to a front flip? That is the flip I don't see on UA-cam at all and I need a visual.

      As I mentioned in the video, go to a 180 dive roll. Reach up and over your shoulder into your roll. =)

      niko Hobbs I learnt by doing a straight jump 360 then gradually making it more horizontal

    • @MikeyCarter1974
      @MikeyCarter1974 8 років тому

      +Jarrad Pearman Any demo of that? Rollerskating I could never make the 360 turn in a jump... was always more like 270 then crash! :D Little worried about attempting this till I can figure out a way to land wrong safely.

    • @jarradpearman
      @jarradpearman 8 років тому

      use a trampoline or any kind of padding. rollerskating is a bit different for parkour but I used to do that to. so when rollerskating you probably weren't jumping high enough to make the 360

    • @MikeyCarter1974
      @MikeyCarter1974 8 років тому

      +Jarrad Pearman
      My life progression has been freestyle rollerskating -> jam skating -> gymnastics -> aikido -> parkour (just starting). Actually starting to mix the skills.
      So realize the difference... my problem was never height, it was always not enough rotation. I'd stop at 270, then 1/2 a second later touch down. Even tried doing some rollers on the trampoline and usually land on my side.

  • @quinopro

    i am going to progress it!!! i think it should work fine if you first learn ...from standing 180 to dive roll and more degrese and more untill you have enough to do it with a run up180 in to 180 dive roll out e.t.c. good idea or not im gon try anyway

    "Buy a gym mat for a couple thousand dollars". oh sure, Kyle, lemme just go drop four paychecks xD (Although I shouldn't talk, since I recently bought a few gym mats...)
    But in all seriousness, thank you. I'm looking for new moves to challenge myself on that won't upset my knee while recovering from surgery, and this is one of the ones I decided to nail. Always a fan!

  • @gene818
    @gene818 12 років тому

    @usafjohnson That's just what Epic did, mirrored. Which would be what I would do if I try this move since I like to take off with my left.
    Unless you mean like a hyper version of the move where you twist the same side as the leg you take off with i.e. right foot take off and twist right. But still, I think it's possible.

    some suggestions/progressions i have been using to get the 360 dive roll......
    1. 180 front drop/belly flop onto trampoline then progress to 180roll (which also allowed me to start performing arabians)
    2. can go straight to 360 front drop but instead i slowly increased the rotation from 180 front drop to a 3/4 turn front drop then to a 360 front drop
    3. 360 dive roll on trampoline then 180 and 360 rolls can be progressed onto floor
    hope this helps anyone else progressing towards this movement :)

      master the direction of your dive takeoff and practice maybe a dive roundoff but place your hands perpendicular to your momentum direction, not parallel.
